TBH, NOBODY has control like they did 20 years ago. I've been away from NCAAF for a while -- why did the transfer portal give up making the transfers sit out a year? Also - having the portal open before the bowl games are all done is CRAZY
He’s NOT the right guy to lead bama football. Three losses and missing out on the CFB is UNACCEPTABLE. The vandy loss is INEXCUSABLE. You CAN’T lose to one of the WORST football programs in the SEC at Bama. It’s called having standards. He’s on the hot seat NOW
Enjoy it while you can. Every team is fighting this same battle. And for the record, why not mention that Ole Miss is/was the team tampering? I can't wait to see Belichick have to do battle with today's teenager.
The only thing though, our portal loses don't equal to other teams portal loses, they losing 2nd and 3rd string Bama is losing starting players. If kd don't get this under control Bama will be trending down real fast.
Justice, Mbakwe, Odom hurt because they had a lot of snaps. Mbakwe especially becasue he had snaps as a Freshman and the backfield was already a bit thin.
For all the Big Names Alabama loses there is another one to step into the line up we just had a coaching change and its out with the old and in with the new and if this coach fails we will just get another Alabama has been a winner for over 100 years like it or not and nothing will change that so enjoy this time because Alabama alway comes back just like the High Tide in the ocean you bet the Tide will always Roll
@@cheetahturner4576 Clown... The Alabama Crimson Tide football team's all-time record is 974 wins, 340 losses, and 43 ties, for a winning percentage of .734. Here are some other notable records for the Alabama Crimson Tide: Bowl record: 46 wins, 28 losses, and 3 ties, for a winning percentage of .617 National championships: 1925, 1926, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, and 2020
They have the WRONG coach that’s why. ZERO SEC experience before he was hired and was in a BAD PAC 12 conference before it collapsed. IDC that he lead Washington to the title game, that’s a much easier job and going from a program that was BAD, to an ELITE football program is a DIFFICULT jump. 3 losses is UNACCEPTABLE at Bama. Lost to Vandy and Oklahoma. You CAN’T lose to Vandy as the bama coach, that’s called having STANDARDS
Welcome to the new reality of college football. Every school is dealing with the same issues to some degree. People need to understand that it is not as simple as talent leaving programs merely because it may seem that program is diminishing. It is a combination of the following: 105 player roster maximum (the average program has 23+ more players being carried, couple in the need to make room for incoming freshmen and that means most teams are going to drop 35 to 40 players just to meet the roster limit), NIL (while by the rules, NIL deals cannot contain performance/playing time requirements, players still have to get a level of exposure in order to get the better deals), Playing Time (players are evaluating their odds of significant playing time where they are, playing time=money in many different ways. Stay as the 2nd, 3rd or 4th option at a position at a school like Alabama or be an instant starter somewhere else? The days of having players that are happy and excited to just be a part of a storied program are over, yes you will still get a handful but not like it used to be.) The transfer portal itself is the other problem and in my opinion the one that needs to be addressed the strongest. The windows punish top level players that are scheduled to play in a bowl and with absolutely no drawback from transferring it has become a carousel of players bouncing all over the place. It's an uncomfortable topic to speak about because it benefits the athletes but negatively impacts the sport from a fans perspective. We are in the throes of a dramatic transformation of the sport, there will be a lot more turmoil before it all settles.
When Bama recruits 20 five star players and then plays on 5 of them, the other 20 will instantly decide to hit the portal, especially when their "agents" are telling them that they are worth more in NIL payments and they need to try the portal. It is the Coach's fault only because he can't play all of these players as freshmen.
At think this point just let the rebuild begin, adjust to the market, don't overpay for regular position guys, focus on premium position guys just like the NFL does and think we'll be ok, a little concerned that we're not replacing premium with premium guys tho
ROLL TIDE !! Coach DeBoer got this !! Port Transfer it's best to embrace. NIL appears wide open student athletes being compensated in addition to NIL, The University, boosters, fans included????? Embrace, Embrace, Embracing ! LOL!! Oh heck yeah it's in the best interest of our student/athletes. It's good for College Football ????
Proof Bama is still king..Every team is losing players but Bama losing players is what they talk about..Bama looses 5 stars more than any program because they basically have more 5 stars than anyone else..know your football!
I think Mbakwe might withdraw from the portal due to a counter offer from Bama. Ryan Williams had an obsucre instagram post that could be interpreted that way. (either that, or he's going as well)
What big names are yall even talking about. Not one player that is in the portal added much to this past year. Haynes does not fit the Alabama offense. Jam Miller is 10x better and should have taken the more snaps and Carrie’s.
Tried telling Alabama fans that their domination would be over. They laughed and said NIL, Conference realignment and transfer portal would only make Alabama more dominate. Parity is here, baby, and there's a lot of programs with more NIL collectives than Alabama.
What you've got on every team is every player being one year rentals. If you're more than a casual fan of the game there's no way you'd like that. This is just the beginning. It's gonna be the same for every team. Your favorite player might play for 3 or 4 teams in college.
I'm glad you get satisfaction seeing Bama players leave.....have a smile on your face as the sport morphs into something unrecognizable....I loved college football....I don't love nor will I watch this abomination/ Simi pro sport. Y'all have fun watching Indiana versus Boise State versus Iowa State or whoever the hell else is in this b******* ass playoffs. I will not be watching. There will be a lot of fans from a lot of different schools that will tune off
I'm not ready to call it a day just yet... I haven't seen a lot that impresses me from the first season, but he deserves at least 2 more years. I'm thinking most of the "offensive genius" tag must have been the OC that split to the Seahawks at the last minute. (also part of what made this first year more difficult than it should have been, the OC Sheridan was a last-minute plan B). Happier with Wommack at DC than I was mid-season, but losses to NFL and portal are concerning.

Justice Haynes was ignored for Milroe’s rushing yards. OC of Bama is to blame
yes and no -- probably Milroe keeping for -2 yards instead of dumping off a screen to the safety valve for +2 yards(RB)
By the time it becomes necessary to ask whether it’s time to panic, it’s time to panic.
Deboer has ZERO CONTROL !!

Bama losing players left and right. Yikes. Bama 24/7 is on fire right now.

So much for being a Players Coach! Pat them on the back when they do good, take names and kick butt when they need it. If they leave, so what?

Good report
49 states LOVE THIS !!!!!!
the bama fatigue has been cured.
the dynasty has crumbled.

This is going on all over the nation right now.
@WhoSays12 just tell us you don't actually pay attention to football outside of bama.
Bama is OvEr!
The Deboer effect👍
Justic Haynes really needs to go to Michigan.
Will Ryan go with him?
"Big names"......Tale your "names" elsewhere. We want Bama players that perform on the field.
Non of them or most of them would stay if Saban was the coach
Saban left because he knew this would happen
...oohhh to be a high school football stud circa 2024 ++
...if your son ain't takin snaps by age 3....you're failing as a father.
What big names are yall even talking about. Not one player that is in the portal added much to this past year. Haynes does not fit the Alabama offense. Jam Miller is 10x better and should have taken the more snaps and Carrie’s.
Bama football going DOWNHILL. Kalen Debeor is NOT the right guy to lead Bama football

@JayTide it's a lot better than what has been, finally we are unburden.
Alabama has the 3rd highest NIL collective in the sport. So your notion that alot more programs have bigger NIL collectives is false, try again.
@@crimsonkings205 it certainly appears as if that’s not the case. You have top players leaving for more money so what is the deal?
You sound like you are a fan of an emasculated team by Alabama

WHO'S STAYING AND COMING? Ya'll are spending way too much time talking about who's leaving.
DeBoer is in over his head..Bama needs to cut their losses
