This looks fun and it is refreshing to see how chill Australians are. A vehicle flips? People remain calm and go check on their mates, nobody goes nuts. Truck breaks an axle? Same thing, people remain chill and just say stuff like "axle broke, Mate" and then help each other out. In contrast, in 4x4 fails videos of Americans, when a vehicle flips a dozen people come out of nowhere running desperately while yelling and screaming then drag the driver out of the vehicle while others just Yell and cheer. Something breaks? People F**KING CHEER AND YELL in celebratory frenzy. Even failing is competitive in the US, quite weird/interesting.
Is the plan to fit the biggest tyres possible and then see what breaks, so you can fix that until something else breaks, then fix that... and repeat untill you make an indestructible vehicle?
still cant believe how mint all these wagons look, nicer than my daily we take our patrol out twice and it looks like it should be scrapped frikken awesome vid

You don't have the context, so let's not assume. He was waiting there to get winched out and by the time the Jeep went around up to the top to help, his foot got tired, was shaking and couldn't hold the brake properly, just a small tap and it was enough to go over. Hope that clarifies.
Mousa does old mate with the Green Defender still come out with you mate, haven’t seen him in awhile I know he’s also got LROR, did he move up to QLD ?
Straps to stop suspension from over extending, and springs falling out, and ruining shocks... Your channel should be called, fix it break it, and then repeat it again.
@@afwsupportingchannel2960 awesome. What's the go with that ticking noise I heard in one of the clips? Did it throw a shim out of the valve train or something?
@@afwsupportingchannel2960 yeah fucking common problem,I took mine out and loctited them back in. Apparently happens when people fuck with them and don't use Loctite them. So new head and piston?
11:16 has to be the most thickhead comment ever. Landcruisers are good cars especially for off road but they're not idiot proof. Shoving your foot down on a near vertical rock step and blaming the broken tailshaft on the car brand.
I think that a lot of axle breaking shafts etc... are due to your bad suspension. Too soft maybe. Here in Italy we use patrol axles as Americans use Dana 60 or even bigger with 40 inch treps and they are very reliable.
Haha, no way are the Patrol axles equivalent to D60's. They're more like D44's. Nothing to do with "soft" suspension either. All our suspension is extra heavy duty.
@@afwsupportingchannel2960 patrol axles are equivalent to Dana 60 front and rear. They are just a little smaller on the ring gear but quite strong as the Dana 60. Dana 44 are no match for the patrol axles if we are talking stock. Not even close. In xtc or wti Croazia trophy which are local extreme offroad championships you can run on stock patrol axles with longfield axleshafts and cv for a total of about 3000 bucks including arb front locker and rear pneumatic updated locker engaging system. For a Dana 44 you'll spend at least twice as that. If you can find as I did a patrol lwb rear axle from a 4.2 td or even on some 3.0 you get something even closer to a Dana 70. For the suspention isssue I think yes you have one of the stiffer springs on the market for heavy duty use (I have them on my toyota right now) but the shock absorbers are not hard enough in compression the rear bounces too much and you loose grip and get it back too easy. A good shock absorber will avoid you that problem. I follow you since the beginning and envy you for the wonderful places you have there. Cheers from italy. Keep offroading
Christian Towns never saw a axle shaft breaking because of bad suspension??? Ahaha you can see them everywhere on RUclips. Bouncing suspension and bad rebounces are very common cause for axle shaft breaking very often. off-road suspension must not bounce but must absorb the shock and avoid the car to bounce. Nothing new on the internet
Yea looks like the engine oil got into the combustion chamber somehow its doing my head in trying to think how besides piston rings not sealing properly
@Wayne Morphett wow thats quite an amazing story I agree with working on your own cars but some of us have only limited or no knowledge so rely on the professionals to do the job right but the worst is if the deny any wrongdoing when shit happens and then you spend a lot of time and or money trying to prove it. Did they cover the cost of the stuff up on your car?

Was asking myself a few weeks ago if there was going to be a fails this year... you delivered...
That's great feedback 👍 It's what keeps us going. Thanks for the support.

@@afwsupportingchannel2960 awesome. What's the go with that ticking noise I heard in one of the clips? Did it throw a shim out of the valve train or something?
Two screws came loose from the plenum butterfly and ended up in the 6th cylinder. The ticking was them hitting against the head.
