Brilliant interview by Siyanda Baduza! Clear and concise. This is going to be a major issue in these elections. Getting income into people's hands is the quickest and most effective way to combat hunger and poverty. This must be combined with longer-term solutions to diversify the economy and create jobs.

Absolutely true. Things will get really interesting once we start speaking about the broader policy of Universal Basic Needs for all citizens regardless of economic background.

This is a great argument for true Universal Basic Income. It's time for South Africa to join the New World Order and put policies in place that cater to the basic needs of the people.

*It's so easy for you people to talk about grants that grants come from tax payers we only got 7 million of them to feed 28 million people plus ( ANC cannot pay salaries they cannot even sustain the NHI yet you people on this show want grants for the people ( Let the people get jobs get away from grants let the people sustain themselves*

@@sahiphopNETWORK The easy way out is referring to our government implementing grants as a band aide instead of creating solutions. Your own statement betrays you as you yourself sed the richest nations in the world whom can actually afford it. In SA we have 19 million people living off of grants already.
