The flat washer things above and below the springs are called shims. Due to the spiral shape of the springs the ends rotate slightly in relation to each other as the spring is compressed. The shim provides a bearing surface between the spring and damper body/cap that prevents the end of the spring from cutting into them.
I have a spare AEM cold air intake if you want it. I replaced mine with a short ram because where I live in Alabama there’s just too much water that got into the cold air intake
One of my shock absorbers in the rear just gave in today after 17 years.. the car looks tilted to the left :( Should I replace both shocks in the rear together?
@@zishenye3444 replace the entire axle, its best to have a electric torque wrench and some toyota type t-iv transmission oil for this job. New cv boots are 30 bucks. New axle is 50ish
@@MitchDore how would you rate the mrs vs a na Miata and nb, stock? I'm thinking of getting rid of my na and going to the Mrs. I'm worried a bit about aftermarket support and bodypanels
@@mattseifert8061 glad to hear someone else saying its a bit rougher. I thought mine were busted lmao. Guess you gotta make a trade off cause you cant have it all on a budget

Thank you for the great comment! I would because typically when one part where is out the other one is ready to wear out as well. 💯
@@MitchDore That make sense thank you sir!!
BTW do you have video for replacing the CV boot? I heard you said in the video you hate doing that lol mine is leaking...

Can you actually go lower than that?? Or that’s max low?
Lower on front but not on rear. Lowest setting is 3 inch drop. GREAT question!
Which do you like more, stock for stock? The gts or mrs?
MR-S is my favorite

What’s the ride quality?
Next video! 💯💯
It's pretty good for the cost of them. 400 bucks. A little more harsh than the original struts but it handles better for sure.
