17:23 Evidently, Bobby Unser wasn't looking at his monitor when Brian Till was absolutely plowed into by Eric Bachelart.

I'd have to say the "enfant terrible" conversation at 1:14:43 is right up there in the running for the most Sam Posey thing that ever happened.

Both in Sam choosing to drop some French into the broadcast and Paul and Bobby choosing to pick on him for dropping in a pretty commonly understood French term.

I love Paul Page's retort. "We're in the US."

Thank goodness they stopped racing on that terrible downtown circuit, which was so bumpy it was literally launching cars into the air. It just wouldn't be a race though if Andretti didn't have another tragic finish. It was fun to see Tracy show some of his potential after some false starts earlier.

He's lucky it was 1992, later seasons drivers were DNQ'ing at Detroit

I used to follow the Indy Lights and Toyota Atlantic series back then, as well as IMSA, but I must be getting old as I can't recall him from any of those series...

Interesting how much narrower the last few turns, front straight and turns 1-2 are compared to today’s Belle Isle.

Checkout those walls down the "back straight". 2 cars clip on those curves and the cars are going direclty over the 4ft wall into the crowd at full speed with no breaking of speed... Then the marshall should run onto the track during green flag racing conditions and get the debris off the track... would be funny if it wasnt so insane. Things we took for granted back then!
