I love these old broadcasts for the news that never actually happened, like the 1992 schedule around the 40 minute mark. They announced a 17 race schedule that included Denver (never happened), New York (never happened) and no Cleveland (which actually happened). Also love how CART just dropped Cleveland without telling anyone about 2 weeks after the Cleveland promoters signed a 5 year extension with the city of Cleveland. CART management at it's finest
Arie and Vince sure pulled a Houdini trick ala Phoenix to pull this one off, huh? 😉 Also, AJ pulls a "YOUNG MAN GIT OFF MY GOD DAMN FUCKIN LAWN" on Jeff Andretti.
@@senorsoupe I forgot about this result until I just watched it now after over 30 years. I'd forgotten how much I was put off by Rahal's reaction, seemed pretty classless.
Kind of funny the announcers were so focused on the championship battle between Rahal and Michael that they totally lost track of the other cars on the track. It was only too late that it dawned on everyone that someone else might win the darned race!
BR was pissed off cursing Arie,,,,,I was timing &scoring Arie, but had to leave to use the RR, and I went down to the pits to watch the finish,,1st time I ever scored a winning driver 1988 to 1992,
