The Martini Mustang is Loud & Fast Art

- For Steve Strope of Pure Vision, turning his idea into loud and fast art is something very few fabricators can dedicate themselves to. His concept was created from a "what if" moment, where he imagined Ford and Martini Racing teaming up to dominate rally races across Europe. Powered by a 1966 Ford/Lotus Indy Car motor, this fastback Mustang is serious business when it comes to performance. Much like a watchmaker who knows the purpose of each moving part, Steve's design signature can be found hidden in the car's details. As enthusiasts spend hours discovering new pieces crafted for his Mustang, Steve smiles from ear to ear and is envigorated to start his next project. Nothing has been left untouched and everything on this Mustang is meant to set your imagination on fire.

love the opening line ...."I dont have a car phase, this is my cancer" true to the bone
Holy Mother of God! This is the Mustang equivalent of the Singer Porsche. Another artist at work; just spectacular...
Everytime Im sad or going through some hard times I watch this video. It’s just pure. Plain and simple. Love what you do and be you. Just fucking perfect
The flush bumpers, that underside with the beautiful exhaust, interior, not to mention the engine! This kind of build quality is almost unheard of.
Correct, it’s what I aim for with my little project. P.S have some 5 year old nostalgia 🙂
I have watched this so many times I have lost count. Steves words perfectly sum up what being a car guy is like, its something very few people can relate to. Thanks Petrolicious!!
This owner is a real car guy!
Nate White - Yah, not like a “Fake car guy!” We call those guys Mexican!
@@dmaxm2498 woah now.
Petrolicious you guys are so good at bringing out the feels from the enthusiast.
Amazing car and amazing Art.
This has to be one of the most epic cars i have seen!
I love that with Steve Strope its always "we not me"!! Unlike a lot of builders he doesn't take all credit for all the hard work that goes into something amazing like this
Mr. Strope has a gift. His stuff is ON!
Besides the fact I that I love the car, I am totally sucked into all the videos. I can't stop watching. Great quality, and awesomely executed.
+Small Block Muscle I know, the cinematography is better than Top Gear
I can honestly say that this is one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen
By far, this video had the best dialogue ever produced by the respective owner. Touched my heart!
Steve- you Sir have hit the nail on the head with your explanation and how you feel about the mustang. I couldn't have said it any better. You have the drive and courage to create what every guys thinks but doesn't do. I have a 66 mustang and understand when you say we like the creative process. You Sir are a gentleman.
Strope's cars are ALWAYS amazing. Thank you so much for featuring this car and allowing him to discuss the process of creating it.
I met Steve a few years ago when he came into the bank I was working at. I recognized him from his TV car show . we talked cars, SEMA , his builds He was so genuine and down to earth. By the end, he gave me his business card and invited me to his shop!.
Steve's face from 5:07 - 5:12 shows the emotion that cars can give. Thanks Petrolicious.
This is by far one of my favorite episodes ever! Simply a modern marvel of auto art
Man this motivates me to keep going with my project car. Sometimes I get so frustrated that I just want to let go but then after a few hours I keep going. I know what this guy feels cause I have feel the same.
When people say "don't you like football!? ....cars? ...motorsport?...taht's boring!"
After watching video like this I'm thinking they are hopless buggers. I will never be able to explain how great passion it is.
Petrolicious thanks fot yor vids!
A truly amazing machine....can tell he genuinely has the passion. Look forward to seeing what they build next.
For a person that isn't really a muscle car fan, I must say this Mustang is a work of art.....I can feel the passion and the car's "soul" emanating everywhere....amazing.
Steve built one of the most magical cars ever with the Martini Mustang...
One of the most beautiful machines I have ever seen....and as a Ford man, I don't know that I've ever been more impressed with a Mustang build....my god this thing is extraordinary....
This channel expresses what I fail to, it's what every automotive enthusiast has running through his/her blood stream, the love for cars is endless, once you're hooked there's no turning back.. And I pay the price gladly !
BEST channel ever, hats off.
Every gear-head or Petrol-head or just plain car fan should watch this video. everything it says and shows is just spot on
The most beautiful american car i have ever seen ... thanks for the video , absolut quality !
Steve Strope and Pure Vision do incredible builds. This is one I love. I have been a Mustang guy my whole life, and have owned 2. I love this fastback that Steve and his team made. It is as perfect a mustang as I have ever seen.
Sincerely, I can't tell you enough how much I love this channel. It truly, honestly, captures the automobile enthusiasts passion. I'm Japanese - born and raised. I've owned an S30z - so I loved the piece done a few weeks back about the 240. And I've owned three first gen mustang fastbacks - 65, 66 and 67. Loved them all. The mods done to this car aren't my particular taste, but to each his own. It's a beautiful, unique car. Good job, bro. Absolutely love it. .
That opening quote was EPIC... "I love hearing guys go, oh I remember my car phase. I don't have a car phase, this is my cancer. It's with me until I drop."
hit the nail on the head ....."the evolution from this to that " it just makes it worth it to continue and go for more :)
I just saw this and my jaw dropped. Sweetest modified Mustang I have ever seen. Steve is a true artist.
The last scene when he pulls into the garage and the lights go out in sequence.... just perfect!
OMG, who doesn't LOVE the sound of that engine as this Amazingly Beautiful Mustang Fastback drives by?
You can tell this guys loves his car, he even gets emotional talking about it. Beatiful ride!
Best Mustang I have ever seen. Plenty of Mustang builds out there, but this one stands alone
That has to be the single best interpretation of the mustang i have ever seen!
I never get emotional on anything, some say. I got emotional on this. Hats off to the dedication you put in it and your work shows it right!
Yet another masterful vignette! Man when the hood went up and the engine came into focus - I was blown away. What a kick ass power plant. Love the stance and all of the subtle details. Killer Car!
Not too many car owners can say that they have a 60's Indy car engine in their car.......AWESOME JOB! (& it sounds epic too!)I love the gauges in the middle of the dash too, nice touch! Thanks for sharing your story. :-)
I just see a true car enthusiast with a great car - so awesome
Love the passion...he looked like he was almost in tears explaining his love for cars...
That martini livery just makes it look more stunning. My god that is a beautiful car.
A true piece of art, orchestrated by a group of talented individuals with a passion for their purpose. Thanks for sharing!
I don't have a car phase, I'll never stop liking cars or this channel
How can one simply not LOVE this car or the story behind it? How can someone simply not love cars?
I have to confess that this is one of the most beatiful videos you guys ever done until now. Thanks for sharing all of this passion.
Petrolicious is the best. I've watched all of the episodes. 10 times each.
You keep bringing great stuff. I would dry hump this car. The recessed bumpers. the gaps of the panels, the interior bits. I could look at this car in person for hours. I am an import guy primarily but I love how this is done..not over done. I respect people like the ring brothers but to me this is how a muscle car or any car for that matter SHOULD be done. Congrats Mr. Strope.
That last bit gave me goosebumps. This dude knows how to get his feelings across
Absolutely fantastic. I'm always blown away by these videos. The technical prowess is on a completely different level from other automotive channels on RUclips. Not only that, but each one hits home emotionally. The passion that each owner has for their car is what really makes the video. Bravo.
That front bumper is awesome! This car is a masterpiece
He seems like an amazon guy to be around, the passion when he speaks is on another level.
The roads in America is truly astonishing..
unbelievable, the amount of precision detail they put on that. absolute piece of art!
Wow. That is beautiful, both the car and story.
Just stumbled upon this channel and I'm grad I did. I've been looking for channels were people truly understand cars and consider everyone in the hobby family.
Pure vision is the best shop and every car I've seen out of there is stunning and loaded with plausible reality. Loved it
Wow.. So much respect for that guy!! .. Love his vision and his car!
Its absolutely Stunning.. Def art to me!
My god that thing is beautiful!
Thank the powers that be for guys like this. I hope he takes care of himself and lives a long and fruitful life building sick ass cars.
He's not sick, I think most great artist go through it, just something he'll have to accept? Love that motor. I could spend my whole day watching this channel, but I will save some for later, thanks again.
I've been Ford guy all my life and just live them this particular Mustang though is the very first Mustang that has ever given me the WOW-effect. Spectacular car with passionate builder = outstanding result that will stand time and keeps looking good still after 10, 20 and 30 years. I want one!
Of all the cars I have lusted for over the years, this is the ONE. A truly remarkable car that is just over the top for me.
This is the most beautiful Mustang in the history of mustangs ever created! Genesis on four wheels. Every aspect of this build works and flows seamlessly! Lotus Indy engine!!!!! WOW
I appreciate his love for his car, I going through that same thing right now.
i have so much respect for this guy! next time im in the states id love to buy him a beer
That is definitely one beautiful mustang! I love everything about it!
the way this guy expresses his feelings is the key to this video! well done my friend.
To succeed in doing something that feels so new, so fresh and so right with an iconic car like an early fatsback is outstanding. made my day!
me watching the video then...wait what? "Ford Lotus IndyCar motor" holy s#@! icing on the cake
This is fantastic. This guy is a master of his craft. As is Petrolicious. The way this appeals to me on an emotional level is amazing. Keep up the good work Petrolicious.
Amazing car, the attention to detail is just breathtaking. Beautiful.
Steve Strope is a unique and dinamic force to be recon with in the auto world. His passion is undeniable. I tip my hat to you sir. Well done
I love this man, and his beautiful art, makes me want to make my 65 falcon what I can imagine it could be.
Beautiful...love the stance and sound.
There are those who have said they found the owner "arrogant"...I find him passionate and devoted to his art and craft... much as I find the people at Petrolicious. I like the owner as much as I do the car ....the car and creator...each a reflection of the other..very unique piece from Petro this week...at least we aren't talking about the owner's pants!
this must be one of the best vids of your channel, it goes beyond much more than cars, thank you for sharing this petrolicious!
You guys shouldn't even comment! That car should leave everybody speachless
This guy really loves his car and is very proud, the type of guy all car scene should be filled with
True car guy built his dream car with his own hands and great for people to see and hear the passion for his work brilliantly built thank you for the video awesome viewing ☺️🍀
Absolutely outstanding!
What a creative genius you are.
The opening line is brilliant.
Yeah Steve! Killing it buddy. The shooting brake in the ARP booth at SEMA last year was beautiful! Great Job.
Love the details in all areas of the car. Such a good idea to put that motor in it!
Steve was living in the multiverse before anybody else.
One of the coolest Mustang builds ever.
LOVE the Ford Mustangs. My dream cars are a 1966 Mustang Coupe a 1970 Mustang Boss 429 a 2012 Ford F-150 Raptor.
Always loved Steve and love this car!
Not normally a fan of Mustangs, but that machine IS a work of art. Excellent video
WOW is an understatement. An artist creating exciting art. Good on you!
I absolutely love the film work, and the video itself is excellent. Probably the best car channel I've come across.
As one of the biggest Mustang fans out there. You did an awesome and amazing job!
I love how those bumpers are painted!
Great video, I have just watched this after working on my garage to aid me working on my car. Love the guy in this video, his passion and dedication totally hits a cord with me.
I am a Ford guy, and this is one of my all-time favorite cars. It's just right.
Shot in my home town of Simi Valley! Steve's builds are awesome and this video makes me love the car even more.
15 yrs later i'm still hooked. onto building bikes until i can open my shop and start builds like this on my childhood dreamcars. I guarantee you there's something lurking in 2015.
The last shot is just mind-blowing. Very nice!
From reading the comments I was expecting a total tool. He doesn't seem douchbaggy to me at all. Just a guy that's passionate about building and designing cars and explaining the "sickness" and about his baby. And what a sweet ass baby it is!
Oh man, that is one sweet piece of art. Steve, you've done it again. very nice work.
