Ladakh Trip 2022 | Leh - Nubra Valley - Toorak - Pangong Lake | Trip Itinerary & Tips | India 🇮🇳

After a really long time, we were all able to go on a family trip and we decided to go to Leh, Ladakh. It was definitely a hard trip to go to, so please make sure to read the tips and trip details below.
Things to know / Keep in mind before the trip:
Leh, Ladhak is at a higher altitude, hence a lot of people experience sickness due to this. We started taking Diamox, which was recommended to us by our family doctor to help adjusting with the altitude change. Please check with you doctor before you do the same
Make sure to rest for at least 2 days in Leh, before you start with any road trips. It is incredibly necessary and we had to push our plans by a day as we only planned for one rest day when we landed in Leh.
For the first couple days, we experienced loss of breath a lot, hence it is recommended to rest for the first two days in Leh.
Please carry all kinds of medication for any kind of illness that you maybe prone to i.e. motion sickness, colds, fever, diarrhoea, etc.
Please carry portable Oxygen cylinder with you, incase of an emergency. Even during the car rides, we have to pass through higher altitudes, so the O2 cylinder is very handy. You can purchase these on Amazon, that's where we got ours.
Make sure to make bookings in advance as the prices are pretty high usually. We made all our hotel bookings through makemytrip.com
We visited Ladakh in the month of May, and it was very cold. Make sure to check the weather for your trip dates and carry warm clothes according.
Getting transportation at the airport is a little difficult so if your hotel offers airport pick-up, please opt for that.
Our Trip Itinerary:
Day 1: Reach Leh
Day 2: Rest in Leh
Day 3: Drive and Stay at Hunder, Nubra Valley
Day 4: Nubra to Toorak to Nubra (10h drive total, 5h each way)
Day 5: Visit Sand Dunes in Nubra Valley
Day 6: Nubra to Pangong Lake, stay the night at Pangong
Day 7: Pangong to Leh
