Michael Wiseman the last 3D shoot I was at there was 3 targets under 20 yards I used this and nailed each one, it works, just have to test it yourself 👊
I have always wondered about this. I would always miss the ten ring when my buddies would say to just use your twenty! I always got closer when I I used the center of my site housing for ten and under but did not know the exact yardage to aim with. How did you figure/calculate that out? Does that change depending on your poundage, draw length, or arrow weight? Or is it to close to make a difference?
Hey Dan! So good questions! yes it does vary from setup to setup so you have to do this as well. All I do is start at 3 yards shoot and adjust until I hit the bulls eye. From there, I write down the yardage used to hit on target and move back a yard. Took me about an hour to do it. Basically just trial and error. hope that helps!
This is going to be my 1st year bow hunting. The one thing I'm having trouble purchasing or deciding on is a quality Rangefinder. I don't want to spend a $1,000 dollars but dont got a problem spending 4,5 or $600.. I'd definitely like to have some type of bow technology for incline/decline and if possible a lighted screen. Can you give me ANY suggestions? Thanks for any help you or your subscribers can offer me!!
Check out the Sigs. Some of the best range finders on the market for the price. I’m not a huge fan of vortex range finders or the bushnell GeForce rangefinder.
Great tip. A lot of guys don't realize the difference in impact when you get down into that 3-5 yard range.
Thanks man
Dude you are never ever gonna have a 3 yard shot anywhere pal this is such bs

Good vid! I have a multi pin sight and have been practicing using my 30 and 40 yard pins at short range and it has really paid off.
Shooting the indoor 3D league at Bowtech great being able to dial in those short yardage shots. Difference between 12s and 10s
Great video. How did you figure out what yardage to use for such close range?
Just started at three and worked my way out by trial and error. Took me about an hour to make my chart.
Love the effort and the extreme geeking out.
Thanks Phil!
This is an awesome tip! I know what I’ll be doing Thursday and Friday to prepare for the 3D shoot Saturday.
Hope it helps👊
Just what I needed. I’ve had a few deer come in right under my stand. Soot one time and missed pretty bad, so I figured I needed to refigure.
Hope this helps!! Best to to test and see what your setup does though, each persons setup will be different
This is extremely helpful. Thank you.
Awesome Thanks for watching Dave!

Garrett Weaver awesome! Yah that makes sense. Should of known that actually. Seems kind of obvious now 😂
Dan T. No worries man 👊
If im shooting from 20 yards and thats as faraway as i can get how do i sight in my compound bow to shoot 50 yards
You could chrono your bow and get a ballpark range sight tape custom made. Outside of that not much you can do except shoot 50
Could you do a video of the RX3 Ultra with the #2 cam?
Awesome tip!!!! Can u show us how to make a big target like u got?
This is just the shops range targets, nothing I did for a DIY at home target. Thanks for watching!
O ok cool thanks for replying

J I’m in the market right now as well and it’s between the Sig and the Nikon 3k
It would be interesting to see your arrow trajectory graphed from 3-19 yards to display the arc.
One question bro, what is Good enough and not to expensive arrows for pse xpedite 28" , 60# for target and some 3d up to 100yrd distance?
I’d take a look at black eagle rampages
