They had developed 2 softwares to give the animatiors the tool to adjust procedurally generated light and textures for more cinematic visuals. A show you might like for its esthetic animation/artwork backgrounds is called “fog hill of five elements”. It’s a Chinese anime made by 6 ppl and only like 6-10 episodes long; it took them years to make but it was worth it for the art and true soul put into this masterpiece. (I watched it on RUclips)
I mean she’s definitely not designed to be ugly lol But yeah, love her character. It was so sweet watching her passion for teaching come back to life-the look in her eyes was excellently conveyed.
@@sakurasensations4786 it was also great how they brought her back later. it didn't feel forced or stretched. he needed help understanding the little girl and the teacher was the only person who might be able to help him i just like that.
Funny thing, as the movie goes on, you can see her from being a rude fish seller woman to a wonderful loving teacher who helps the kids in town, also the school changes too, it once was a fish shop that turn into a school house for the kids to learned, that something we never see in today movies, having someone grumpy and want to leave only to a caring person due to some kids who eager to learn.
I really want to cosplay her, she is BADASS Also she looks way cooler as a lady working at a fish shop instead of how she looked before then, kinda gives Meg from Hercules tbh
The vibe was basically hating her place in life and being influenced by the negative environment she was in. She did become a much cooler character during the later half of the film though
I think you can be badass without being rude or aggressive, just saying, because many times when a character is like that I see people calling them badass for having that attitude...
What's kinda interesting about these two is that he's basically looking into his future here. She came here for a job that is literally impossible due to the town, and then she got trapped here and basically just had to survive. He was going to be going down the same path until he met Klaus

Well, Jesper (the mailman, spoiler alert by the way) DID manage to fix her indirectly by inventing the Christmas tradition with Klaus and she fixed him as well. So it's win-win!
For anyone wondering, the movie is called "Klaus" (someone else mentioned it too). It's a Netflix original movie about the origin of Santa Claus. Highly recommend! It's a fantastic movie for all ages!
The animator of the Deep Canvas style, Juando Guarnido, made the 1999-2000 animated Tarzan film by Disney. Like Don Bluth, he took the techniques taught to him there, invented his own, and parted ways to do his thing. I believe he also worked on the Blacksad graphic novels, and animated Freak Kitchen's "Freak of the Week" music video.
The fact that this never got a proper dvd blu ray release is criminal af. Even stranger things/pinnochio/ mitchells vs the machines even mandalorian have dvds. Let me own this forever netflicks
There are bootleg DVDs and ways of putting the film on a blank DVD if you want to own it forever, but it's illegal, the quality will be poorer and it won't be a good DVD with nice artworks or interesting extras. But it's a shame to have so few DVD and Blu-Ray releases for Netflix exclusives: even Arcane was released on DVD (albeit not a great one, with bonuses that have already been on RUclips for a long time and a cover that's just screenshots of the series).
This movie is downright beautiful. Only gripe I have is they get mad at Jasper for finding out he had the same plan the teacher did here. But just like the teacher, Jasper gives up on the plan and decides to stay, but they find the smallest bit of evidence from people who clearly hate everyone, and they paint jasper as the bad guy. Like lady, you were trying to leave here too at first, and you were here, longer, Jasper adapted immediately!
