Maybe they didn't focus on this enough in the storyline but I'm really sad that everyone missed the main mental battle of this plot and the lesson learned from the story about mortality. Through her father she had the realization he always failed to have.
The last scene with Ana is the secret ending.....most people would walk away from the ending credits.....so this means theres going to be a continuation.....Long Live Lara !!!
+Adil Hamed There is alot unexplained here-like Lara hiking with Ana after the fight, why it took Lara this long to realize Ana played some kind of role in her father's death, how the Trinity sniper even found them hiking in a random spot in the snow plains- even though they probably knew the layout of a place they never even visited, they were destroying the structures around them earlier, etc. Do we even need this cliffhanger explained?

You can also decide to walk away from Konstantin and not kill him, I think that ending was more satisfying 😁 Also notice the map on the desk in the end before the credits, telling exactly where the third game is located.
I think the right choice is to not kill him... Well, she should killed him since he is too dangerous (and kill too many people) to let alive, but not in anger like that. Remember that the point is Lara is willing to let everything go (divine source, letting down his father, including his father being mocked and disgraced by whole world and archeologist community). Well, we can safely say that it was their biggest mistake, letting Lara live. As we know, Croft has a bad habit of going through various evil organizations like hot knife through butter... Trinity was merely the first:)
I'm hoping the big surprise is that we find out that the voice talking to the sniper is Lara's father and he faked his death. Otherwise, we are just going to keep getting new villains every game who somehow know Lara's father and honestly, the whole 'Lara's father was shady' is getting really boring by this point.

Sam wanted nothing to do with Lara after Yamatai (according to audio logs) and stopped talking to Lara after the first game - even though throughout the entire first game she seemed to worry for and support Lara no matter what. Sam comes from a wealthy background too I believe - her father may have placed Sam to get close to Lara (as Ana was placed to get close to her father). Sam could have been placed to make Lara believe in myths so she could carry on her dad's research and lead Trinity onto further finds. Sam was related to Himiko and her father funded the Endurance expedition to Yamatai - just seems weird to me, could he have wanted Sam to harness the power of the sun queen? I don't know. Some gaps in this theory could be filled with mumbo jumbo - just thought it would have been a cool twist if Sam was a mole of some kind.
So Richard Croft will work for trinity, and faked he's death, and then go to work for trinity? And Richard Croft calls Lara "The Croft" instead of "Lara" (even if he's evil and he has no love for his daughter, he's still a Croft, so calling her "The Croft" is... Weird XD
Assuming Rhianna Pratchett doesn't go the obvious route for the next game, the obvious choice for the main villain is Lara's maternal uncle, Atlas de Mornay. As of now, he's the only one in the timeline to show any form of hostility to Lara and is still alive. But, that would be far too predictable in terms of storytelling cause the DLC has firmly established his antagonistic role unless Square Enix doesn't really care about that. Or else, the whole Lara's father as the real brains behind Trinity could work. Having somehow discovering Ana's involvement with Trinity, he would use their resources and influence to start anew, hence, he fakes his death so that the public opinion of him would disintegrate and he can get rid of his ties with his brother-in-law, Atlas, therefore he can start over under a new alias. Getting rid of Ana and Konstantin would be his next step to tie up loose ends. Also, it will put a new spin of the whole 'Lara's father is important to why she does this' theme cause in the next game when she finds out her father is the villain all this time, she becomes conflicted as to everything she's done so far and when the issue is resolved, she will then pursue on her adventures as her OWN character and for what she believes in, not because Daddy Croft said so.
After you finish the game and get those scenes you'll get back to the main menu, click continue and you'll get another scene. Not a "big deal" scene, it serves just to justify why Lara is still in the island if you choose to continue the game to collect all the stuff you missed.
Jacob Storm that's the only thing that annoys me about Lara. That she's still cautious on the unknown despite what she had experienced on that island to do with the sun queen. If that was me, afterwards I'd be willing to believe anything is possible
She does believe anything is possible after Yamatai, that's part of why she went looking for the Divine Source in the first place, because she believed that it could be real. And after something like Yamatai, you can't just assume that every mythical or mystic thing you hear about is true, that's just going to lead you on endless wild goose chases and snipe hunts, because while some of them will be real, they can't *all* be completely factual. You'd need to investigate them to find out if they're actually real or not. Lara accepts the possibility that these things could be real, which is why she tries to find them and prove it to actually be true rather than just dismissing it out of hand.
If you actually payed attention to the game. The people or group who shot Ana at the end, are in fact the real Trinity. And they were mention throughout the game. One part they hint is when Konstantin is talking to someone on the phone Right before they capture Lara in the cell. The voice says something like "if things go wrong we are going to have to step in" So I think, the next game is gonna be awesome because the real gang of trinity is going after Lara. But who knows.
Yeah. They explain it in Shadow during the voice dialogues. But when they made Rise they had not written the story that far... so he voices don't match
That is correct At one point in Shadow of the tomb raider Rourke will say these lines - “I should’ve killed you in Siberia, but Dominguez was against it. But that’s on me I intend to fix that NOW!” Also funny how Dominguez tells Lara anyway so killing Ana was a waste of rourke’s time. 😂😂😂 & yes I know this is years later.
Playing PC version. My game crashed at 10:03 every time I reload the scene. Not sure why because all the cutscenes worked up to this point and game was running smoothly. The crashed error message said something about lowering graphics settings, but I had been playing with that same graphics settings up to this point and everything was working. Tried updating driver. Still didn't work. I had to press space bar to skip this scene for the game to continue forward to the next scene LOL. Now I'm watching this on youtube to see what happens after that soldier gets stabbed in the back. Sigh...
+Frisky Dingo Godamn cipher, I bet you they wanted the divine source as a power generator for another metal gear. Or something to do with NANOMACHINCES SON
+Martin M Square Enix accidentally revealed at gamescom this year that they are infact developing a third game in the series so more Lara in the years to come :)
"You killed my father didn't you!?" "Trinity ordered his execution....I couldn't do it" "You're lying!" "I loved him.." The dialogue, the emotion is chefs kiss perfection 🥰
7:30 then only single line in all of recorded voice actor history that I have replayed over an over, as I believe her pain full heatedly after playing the full game.
I'm disappointed with the ending having zero lore on the Divine Source, the previous trilogy had some on it's path but was scuffed away and never scratched the potential. Where was the Source found? What's it made of? What are the markings? Anyone previous to Jakob who's also immortal? No psuedo-science explaining how it works? Nope, it breaks and that's that.
@@QuestofGamers123 relics and monoliths in the game are just stolen fantasy game item models there's no fucking lore, there's more lore in a sidequest in skyrim than whoever wrote this
the game is supposed to be telling about Lara's origin story, so I believe that that's the main focus of game the trilogy. you can see that a lot of time went into showing how Lara perceived the world and the motives as to why she acts the way she does. the focus Is not on the divine source itself, or the story of the yamatai island in the first game, but rather on the character that experienced these events.
There was nothing more to that story. Lara's parents arc was finished, natla's arc was finished, amanda's arc was finished. I don't see how could they have come up with a good story after that.
The secret is on the 🗺 map. In the final game of Rise of TR it was shown that the next game Shadow of TR would be in The South America , in the city of Cozumel , Mexico! 😍
If they are doing another game, I want them to bring in Natla, maybe Tihocan and Qualopec have been setting her path this whole time and want her to kill Natla who's the head of Trinity? I don't know
That would be interesting. I mean how ironic Trinity in a way means three. And let's say they bring in Natla. Would Lara seek (once again) the Scion? The Scion was meant for great power. So. I don't know. I think it would be neat to see Natla again. Just this time give a different story with her in it. :)
Natla was awesome. But they are ruining the game. Like i finished rise of tomb raider sunday. and bought it friday. So its not even hard anymore. Like the old ones. where you had to find the things by yourself. and not having the possiblity for the "object vision". i miss the times like the first 5 games & legend & underworld, where you had to ride a motorcycle and such stuff.. New storyline every game, making connections to each other..
+onlyZEMO Maybe they'll do that in the new game. Because I agree with you. Tomb Raider being rebooted. Amazing idea. But what the creator invented with Lara. Was just that mystery to the story behind whatever you were searching for. Made the game longer, yes, but with you having to search. Not only did you learn more but you found more. It was really hard back in the day to even beat the game at a 100%. They made you work for it. If they want to reboot it, then give us a game we remember and love. That is why I would love to back to St. Francis Folly. Granted Damocles room made my hands sweat, and scare the living shit out of me because I didn't know when a sword was going to come down to flatten me. But I miss the puzzles. I really do. And for fuck sakes, I wish this whole 'exclusive' bullshit would end. It just becomes a waste of time, therefore a waste of money to just put it on one console. Tomb Raider is an amazing series. I just hope the next game gets her back on track.
"I only wanted to make a difference" "You already have" Let me think about it, where did I hear this phrase first? Oh yeah "Now go Luke! "No, father! I'm not leaving without you! I came here to save you! "You already have!" :P
sniper: what about croft mysterious voice: no we need her for more games and money sniper: oh... really ok then "cling clang" "BANG" uhhh sir i kinda killed croft sorry
I'm not a gamer me used to dabble in the old Nintendo when I was younger, but I'm impressed with the graphics these days. Nothing like the Super Mario or the Terminator 2 game I used to play in the Arcade. I think if Terminator existed in these graphics, id definitely be one.
Did somebody realize there’s a Mexico map pointing to Yucatan on the end? Everything connects with the Shadow of the Tomb Raider teaser. Pyramids and eclipses connects with the Maya culture and with the ending map
+Renan No, it actually isn't right after the first game. She is around 2-3 years older here from the first game. www.polygon.com/2015/11/10/9705544/what-happened-between-tomb-raider-and-rise-of-the-tomb-raider-comics If you read there, it's a whole comic series between the two games! Fills in the gaps nicely.
Im not sure if im seeing right. So, theres a guy in a military helicopter shooting at Lara. The plan is too shoot burning barrels above the chopper to destroy it? And it works, the helicopter burns? Cmon... Thats just too ridiculous.
wonderguardstalker I knooooow right! Let's not forget about the guy that's lived for hundreds of years or the magical artefact that grants immortality... But damn that helicopter
The game takes place in the modern world. The narrative presents a story in which there are forgotten magic artifacts hidden around the world. As long as the game stays withing the boundaries, which it has set up for itself, i have no issue with it. However, the helicopter is not created by some ancient Russian magic. No. Its a modern piece of technology. Therefor, it should be subjected to real world rules. An undead army, an immortal man, both remain in the confines of the story, yet the chopper battle, for no good reason, leaves it. So, yea, damn that helicopter.
Sequel Baiting. Let me guess, next game shall feature the exact same plot? Because this is the same plot as the last game. Hidden and forbidden power, Lara tries to find it, falling down multiple cliffs, getting stuck in traps, friends die, gets to the end only to destroy the hidden and forbidden power that she hoped would make her famous, using dead parent cliche as motivation. Lovely. Hell, they put more effort into animating Lara's ass than into a creative goddamn story.
+Jack Mehoff yep and a huge amount of people think this game is incredible, don't ask because i don't know why... different strokes for different folks i guess.
Oh don't get me wrong, I love the Tomb Raider series and am getting this when it comes out on PC, I just care a lot more for raiding tombs than for the plot.
I've just finished it and it's literally the same as the first one (in this rebooted series). Spend the majority of the game fighting normal people and then the final third you're fighting "mythical" enemies. And fuck me the human enemies spam grenades so damn much! The game was fun though! Hopefully it's not a long wait for the third game
+Jack Mehoff +DRUMadam Indeed. -Crazy cult -Old, mythical guards -Death of friends -Searching for a hidden artifact in a supposedly mythical place -Repairing a nasty wound -Fighting vicious animals -Having an epic stand-off with the main villain in the game -Constantly cheating death in over-the-top action scenes -Following in dead parent's footsteps The parallelisms are just that obvious.
Also, everyone saying how this game is really similar to the first. I don't see that at all. Tomb Raider has always been about finding a mystical relic at the end of the journey. Without mention of the original core design games. Tomb Raider: Anniversary (Find three pieces to a relic, attempt to find information from it, destroy the relic in the end.) Tomb Raider: Legend (Find three pieces to a relic, attempt to find information from it, fail.) Tomb Raider: Underworld (Find three pieces of a relic in order to wield another relic, use it to find information, succeed.) Tomb Raider (Get stranded on an island trying to find a tomb in order to claim a discovery, find it.) Rise of the Tomb Raider (Attempt to find a relic to bring back the Croft name.) Totally different in my opinion but Tomb Raider has always followed a formula.
Technically, there is an easter egg styled “secret” ending to the game. If you return back to the game after completion, there is a bonus cut scene showing you what happens to the villagers after Jacob’s death.
Guess the post-credits ending show the meaning of the TV Trope, Bad Guys Do the Dirty Work. It means when a villain commits a villainous act so the heroes won't to. For this example, a sniper from the Trinity killing Ana, so that Lara won't have to do anything about her.
At 14:45 I was so excited to see where the story would go after this when I finished the game in 2015. My imagination was going wild with possibilities for the next game like Trinity being a huge unstoppable cult and Lara’s story continuing to progress into her becoming “the tomb raider” like they were saying. Instead, after waiting for 3 years we got a boring, bland, uninteresting sequel, which is the exact same game. The story was so bad it didn’t follow up on Rise at all, it was basically a retelling. Suuuch a disappointment. Does anyone even know who the person on the phone is at the end? Did we ever find out?
@@mThund3R_ I'm pretty sure it wasn't even Rourke, just some unnamed sniper at least according to one of the notes in the third game. What a shame that Shadow was wasted. Maybe in a perfect world, they could've done it justice and properly ended the Survivor trilogy.
Not shooting lara was a big mistake on there part but because they did not she is alive anna served her role now she is not needed anymore i also believe it's what she said and did as well may have not died in the new tomb raider but here goodbye.
Did anyone else think Ana was going to become Natla b/c I sure enough did. Especially after she saw the divine source & she really looks like her! I hope they bring back Natla for the 3rd game.
I loved this game until I found out about Uncharted series. Way better storyline, characters, interaction of characters, way more realistic in terms of those ''Cool surviving scenes'', once again storyline and overall gameplay and physics. I also felt more attached to the story and people in Uncharted compared to TR where I got bored of the same action and villians. Uncharted is like a movie you can actually play and you do care about what is happening with the story and what they're saying while I skipped every cinematic in TR...Anyone agrees?
Pretty much I couldn't really give a shit about the characters or the story cuz they were so boring only reason I finished the game was cuz of the gameplay and it wasn't even challenging at all,u literally find ammo everywhere u go barely running out making the game too easy not to mention the amount of weapons u have also, uncharted is WAY better
I agree, I play uncharted and TR. But for me I cared for both game character and story but more to uncharted because how they tailored the story was awesome, gameplay was good because it was Naughty Dog product. TR not very much but still it satisfied me, the exploration where we can fast travel to collect something and hunt was awesome. Uncharted was more to story. Still I give both thumbs up for awesome experience as only this two game make me feel like "Indiana Jones" for a while😅
Honestly a bit disappointed with the ending. - Barely a boss fight. - No final choices. - No multiple endings. - Cheesy sequel bait. As if you need any excuse to make 10 more Tomb Raider games.
Just finished this game. Loved it. Definitely better than the first one. Cons: Lara still not believing in the unknown after all that shit with the sun queen & no real explanation on the divine source at all
"Rise of the Tomb Raider" Has Lara going from place to place trying to find and kill the Plastic Surgeon who operated on her face and turned her into an abomination.
Well I suggest you go back and relook at the older games, because back in the day she had the lifeless face of a blow up doll. Her voice was sexier though :|
If you think that face is an abomination, I have to inform you that you're an extremely homosexual male. Not that I have a problem with that. Just saying. Lara is a perfect 10 in RotTR by any objective standard, bud.
+Matthew Edmunds In 1 month is gonna to be a new dlc call baba yaga and is gonna be about a house of a witch and maybe the person in the radio can be there
Orane L. They did really good with the story too, but somehow, it's a little disappointing, like they could've made the story longer, added more tombs, more enemy types, fixed the other outifts, e.t.c.
Can I be entirely honest? This was the worst ending possible. Ana was right - the Source could have been used to benefit the world. Disease, age, hunger...all of it would mean nothing. There is no meaning to being human; we simply exist on this world, nothing more. Death is not a part of life, it's a challenge we can overcome, much like the early challenge of our race gaining a foothold when we were first born. A world, a society where the glory of Kitezh would have been multiplied several times over had the Source been saved and revealed to the world. Lord Croft's name would have been redeemed, his work considered legendary, and himself a genius. Lara would have been seen as an even more legendary figure for continuing his work and bringing it to fruition. Ana would have been saved...the Prophet didn't seem to understand what good he could bring to the world with the Source...he himself saw how successful and glorious Kitezh was, and the type of power the Source brought...it saved Jonah's life. Lara easily earns the title of being the world's biggest asshole.
Humans aren’t meant to live forever, hence death. Just like we’re not meant to breathe underwater or fly organically. All things that more or less can be achieved artificially, but goes against everything that gives us our humanity. When everything is artificial, humanity dies. And that’s the world Lara couldn’t agree with.
i love Lara with all my life i just wished they make her more "hotter". i do understand that they're trying to be realistic as possible but if a comet would suddenly hit earth that shit is still a game. and am i the only one in here who doesn't really like the front part of her hair? like wtf? and i could only wish she would be using the iconic dual pistols...
this was just the second game, if you really understood the story she was not even sure why she was doing it, going after the divine source. The third one she will start to fight for a purpose that's when the old Lara starts to kick in.
About the dual pistols. If you've played blood ties (rottr dlc) after you complete the story, there will be some additional relics placed in richard's "office". Right on his table there will be those dual pistols she used in yamatai at the end of the game. When you pick them up to view them, she'll say something like "I still remember the day I used those" I think that was a subtle hint the developers left us but hey idk
omg Im so fucking with you on the hair thing. I thought it wasnt as bad in the first game, since it made her look "younger and inexperienced" in a way and it added to the "castaway" thing as well, but it really gets on my nerves now and its sorta unrealistic in a way. they should change it, really to show laras progress.
equenoxe86 I agree. When they published the first trailer I was like "oh my god yes". But after I saw that lara is only a crying bitch with auto health, bow and an climbing axe shooting her way trough enemies like in Call of Duty and without any tombs I was like "No fucking way". I expected a good mix of puzzle and shooting and that you have to survive. Is it that difficult, to make a badass Lara with dual pistols, cool moves and jokes? What I hate most about the 2013/2015 games is that you don´t need tp think anymore. You don´t have open levels, like in the games of Core Design, but you have thousands of annoying scripts and quick time events. There is nothing challenging in these games anymore.
I hope they make another game. Different to Shadow as I felt it was a disappointing end to the trilogy. I'd be quite happy for Crystal to go back to doing the game as they did really well. It would be good to have a darker, more mature Lara Croft story.
Maybe they didn't focus on this enough in the storyline but I'm really sad that everyone missed the main mental battle of this plot and the lesson learned from the story about mortality. This is a very old comment, but just want to say, just played this game and I absolutely picked up on the mental themes and Lara’s mental journey

MrBX5 If I finish the story will I get the stuff in the camp base copper mill bridge?
You would think after she survived the first game she would instantly know that other things like the divine source are real. Just sayin
Jacob Storm that's the only thing that annoys me about Lara. That she's still cautious on the unknown despite what she had experienced on that island to do with the sun queen. If that was me, afterwards I'd be willing to believe anything is possible
eggszactly
She does believe anything is possible. That's why she set out to find the Divine Source in the first place. Trouble is, everyone else doesn't.
I said"know" not "believe".
The voice says something like "if things go wrong we are going to have to step in"
So I think, the next game is gonna be awesome because the real gang of trinity is going after Lara. But who knows.
Turned out that the real Trinity had been letting Lara run free.
This aged so bad because the next game was completely boring and sht
I FUCKING THROW A CAN ON KONSTANTIN AND HE DRAMATICALLY DIES LMAO XD
did the same ... wtf, konstantin is such a pussy
thumbsup who ever did that to him xD
I did the same thing! I was like; Uh... XD That was anti-climatic!
dammit, I didn't think of that.. but damn that is fucking funny!
Who else thinks Ana is a reference to Hillary Clinton
So after completing Shadow of the Tomb Raider I'm assuming that the sniper is Commander Rork and the mysterious bloke is Dominguez
Yeah. They explain it in Shadow during the voice dialogues. But when they made Rise they had not written the story that far... so he voices don't match
The Sexy Skywalker is it explained why he killed ana?
@@fluffyunicorn3907 becuz anna was going to say that dominguez killed her father thats y rouke killed her!!
That is correct At one point in Shadow of the tomb raider Rourke will say these lines -
“I should’ve killed you in Siberia, but Dominguez was against it. But that’s on me I intend to fix that NOW!”
Also funny how Dominguez tells Lara anyway so killing Ana was a waste of rourke’s time. 😂😂😂
& yes I know this is years later.
"Good" *rubs hands together* "Gooooood".
I like that someone else does this other than myself.
5:32 *takes bow, making all guns disappear*
Playing PC version. My game crashed at 10:03 every time I reload the scene. Not sure why because all the cutscenes worked up to this point and game was running smoothly. The crashed error message said something about lowering graphics settings, but I had been playing with that same graphics settings up to this point and everything was working. Tried updating driver. Still didn't work. I had to press space bar to skip this scene for the game to continue forward to the next scene LOL. Now I'm watching this on youtube to see what happens after that soldier gets stabbed in the back. Sigh...
same here :(
yeah i thought about that, but my savefile is changed and i dont wanna play through again
ty tho
***** Thanks. I think it might be that. I had DirectX 12 on the whole time I was playing. I already beat the game. Thanks anyway.
Because it's PC that's why. Lol
Happened to me today too lol bloody dx12 not working.
Cipher is behind this.
It's always Cipher!
+Frisky Dingo Godamn cipher, I bet you they wanted the divine source as a power generator for another metal gear. Or something to do with NANOMACHINCES SON
Bipedal machines were the beginning, immortal soldiers that appear in dense fog next. Thanks Cipher, we can always count you to scare us!
+Mozza You deserve a fucking medal 😂😂😂👍
I thought Cipher was gone after Skullface died.
Frisky Dingo Wait who is cipher ?. I've heard that name , but not well familiar ..
This is to totally hinting at a future game!
Yeah that's what I thought to
+Haunter_93 there's a hint at Tomb Raider 2013's ending as well.
+Martin M Square Enix accidentally revealed at gamescom this year that they are infact developing a third game in the series so more Lara in the years to come :)
YASSSSSS
+Haunter_93 They accidentally confirmed that they're already developing the next one, so excited
"You killed my father didn't you!?"
"Trinity ordered his execution....I couldn't do it"
"You're lying!"
"I loved him.."
The dialogue, the emotion is chefs kiss perfection 🥰
7:30 then only single line in all of recorded voice actor history that I have replayed over an over, as I believe her pain full heatedly after playing the full game.
I'm disappointed with the ending having zero lore on the Divine Source, the previous trilogy had some on it's path but was scuffed away and never scratched the potential.
Where was the Source found?
What's it made of?
What are the markings?
Anyone previous to Jakob who's also immortal?
No psuedo-science explaining how it works?
Nope, it breaks and that's that.
+Ohem1 It works cos nanomachines. Problem solved.
Yeah. This game series gives no lore at all.
i think we have to find clues in the relics monoliths documents etc..?
@@QuestofGamers123 relics and monoliths in the game are just stolen fantasy game item models there's no fucking lore, there's more lore in a sidequest in skyrim than whoever wrote this
the game is supposed to be telling about Lara's origin story, so I believe that that's the main focus of game the trilogy. you can see that a lot of time went into showing how Lara perceived the world and the motives as to why she acts the way she does. the focus Is not on the divine source itself, or the story of the yamatai island in the first game, but rather on the character that experienced these events.
I can't wait to get my hands on this game! I love the song 'I Shall Rise' by Karen-O. I listened to it a thousand times!
I kinda wish they'd go back to the tomb raider legend story?
There was nothing more to that story. Lara's parents arc was finished, natla's arc was finished, amanda's arc was finished. I don't see how could they have come up with a good story after that.
Astrius t thghout amanda will not die
10:48 and 11:20 I love thats sounds and visuals effect!
3:37 Who else is getting Uncharted 2 flashbacks?
Apart of that there is no secret ending i am here just to see one more time how badass is the deathless army, especially in the last scene.
I will call this a "mistake" and not a "bait click"... I guess...
The secret is on the 🗺 map. In the final game of Rise of TR it was shown that the next game Shadow of TR would be in The South America , in the city of Cozumel , Mexico! 😍
i love the game I can't wait for part 3 I'm hoping for more tombs it brings back memories
+Maiden Of Mischief Won't be possible because Natla died in underworld :-)
+onlyZEMO if they are rebooting her. Serious wise. It could happen. But you're right. I'll admit Natla was a badass female villain. Lol.
My favorite Tomb Raider, so much action.
extraordianary is in what we do not who we are, like if you love rise of the tomb raider as i do
CAN'T WAIT !!!!!!!! UGH PLEASE BE RELEASED AT THE END OF NEXT YEAR !!!
Lara: "I'm sorry. All I wanted was to make a difference."
Jacob: "You already have...you already have." 😭
8:06 ...when you are just trying really hard to diss someone but fail to do so.
Can't believe how easy that boss fight was. Didn't have to bust my ass to get through
This game never gets bad❤
I just donno why Google says this series is a flop. I am true crofthead. Please one more Tomb raider after this.
"I only wanted to make a difference"
"You already have"
Let me think about it, where did I hear this phrase first?
Oh yeah
"Now go Luke!
"No, father! I'm not leaving without you! I came here to save you!
"You already have!"
:P
15:00 - it was at this point Amaru knew he messed up.” 😂😂😂
Can not wait for shadow of the tomb raider
How many of you finished the game in 2017 ?..
I just finished it because my old laptop from 2013 wasn't able to even open the game. My new one could :D
I finished it in 2019 lmao
@@Alex_2301 same here :D
sniper: what about croft
mysterious voice: no we need her for more games and money
sniper: oh... really ok then "cling clang" "BANG" uhhh sir i kinda killed croft sorry
I'm not a gamer me used to dabble in the old Nintendo when I was younger, but I'm impressed with the graphics these days. Nothing like the Super Mario or the Terminator 2 game I used to play in the Arcade. I think if Terminator existed in these graphics, id definitely be one.
the secret voice is of her father, they are played by the same actor on every language dub
+Renato Renzo holy shit that would be a mindfuck if the boss of trinity would actually be her father
I hope not, it's way too predictable but I have a feeling it is :/ But if the voice is indeed Richard Croft, I hope they play it correctly.
Haha nope
Did somebody realize there’s a Mexico map pointing to Yucatan on the end? Everything connects with the Shadow of the Tomb Raider teaser. Pyramids and eclipses connects with the Maya culture and with the ending map
So... Another tomb raider game in the future.
+DarthDregan i think is the dlc baba yaga
+Bautista Baqué has it been released?
***** Yeah i know but i was thinkin that maybe baba yaga has a little bit of history :(
yes
I hope they will be, tomb raider is my favorite game, and rise of the tomb raider was one the best tomb raider ever.
If they somehow bring keeley hawes when this version of lara grows up i'll be super happy.
I love this ending. So much better than tomb raider 2013
I have just finished rise noooo 😢😢😢 I don’t want the story end.
sniper: what about croft?
voice: NO NO, IF YOU FUCKING DO THE FANS WILL FUCKING Well......... STOP BUYING OUR GAMES!
Can Franklin, Michael and Trevor take down an army of Deathless??
Why Lara never gets old? She look same just like Tomb Raider 2013!
+Clone Wu Cause we dont want to play as a old granny
I see...so how old Lara is?
Clone Wu
Old enough to get impregnated by me.
+Renan No, it actually isn't right after the first game. She is around 2-3 years older here from the first game. www.polygon.com/2015/11/10/9705544/what-happened-between-tomb-raider-and-rise-of-the-tomb-raider-comics
If you read there, it's a whole comic series between the two games! Fills in the gaps nicely.
Too bad, I was wonder to see how Lara's daughter look like...
Who's here coz they accidentally skipped the final cut-scenes after killing that Trinity dude?
Im not sure if im seeing right. So, theres a guy in a military helicopter shooting at Lara. The plan is too shoot burning barrels above the chopper to destroy it? And it works, the helicopter burns? Cmon... Thats just too ridiculous.
Listen the undead army was passable but this is just TOO MUCH!
wonderguardstalker
I knooooow right!
Have you ever shot fractures of a giant rock into the propellors of a chopper? delicate things.
Thought about that too. Giant rocks dont explode under gun fire. Id say those are not rocks but barrels filled with something volatile.
why ana and jacob get desintegrated like the soldiers in the moment?
The Mysterious Voice said "Not yet." So It means that.... It'll be a chance to kill her again?
They will most likely be the enemies in the next game. Trying to assassinate Lara Croft for good.
Well idk why everyone dies around Lara but she doesn't die xD but if they killed her it's gonna be stupid ._.
(y) Yahh Right
one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a video game ending
Sequel Baiting. Let me guess, next game shall feature the exact same plot? Because this is the same plot as the last game. Hidden and forbidden power, Lara tries to find it, falling down multiple cliffs, getting stuck in traps, friends die, gets to the end only to destroy the hidden and forbidden power that she hoped would make her famous, using dead parent cliche as motivation. Lovely. Hell, they put more effort into animating Lara's ass than into a creative goddamn story.
+Jack Mehoff Same plot as last game? Same plot as every game, and movie :P
-Crazy cult
-Old, mythical guards
-Death of friends
-Searching for a hidden artifact in a supposedly mythical place
-Repairing a nasty wound
-Fighting vicious animals
-Having an epic stand-off with the main villain in the game
-Constantly cheating death in over-the-top action scenes
-Following in dead parent's footsteps
The parallelisms are just that obvious.
15:04 Who tf looks face front into a sniper target lol
so you want to be shot in the face
Dude wtf?! Did you REALLY cut the song out?! WTF?! :D. I mean cmon - thats the best thing!
Love this game. Beat it today.
Me as a future teacher: Shows kids the end of Rise of the Tomb Raider.
And that kids, is what made Infinity War
Credit to van dation for the idea
Shadow of the Tomb Raider...next game!
Technically, there is an easter egg styled “secret” ending to the game. If you return back to the game after completion, there is a bonus cut scene showing you what happens to the villagers after Jacob’s death.
The game is turning into mgs
The sniper was Rourke, and the person on the phone was Dominguez.
@@mThund3R_ I'm pretty sure it wasn't even Rourke, just some unnamed sniper at least according to one of the notes in the third game.
What a shame that Shadow was wasted. Maybe in a perfect world, they could've done it justice and properly ended the Survivor trilogy.
i dont know why my drivers cant play this ending
that mysterious voice at the ending... it's Lara's father!? So he alive and cooperate with trinity or HE IS a head of trinity
Lol Lara saw her father shoot himself in the head in her memories don't you play that part?
fishereq1990 I thought that also maybe he faked his death in front of her daughter somehow
Not shooting lara was a big mistake on there part but because they did not she is alive anna served her role now she is not needed anymore i also believe it's what she said and did as well may have not died in the new tomb raider but here goodbye.
I always thought lara Croft was chole from uncharted.
Still I give both thumbs up for awesome experience as only this two game make me feel like "Indiana Jones" for a while😅
I think that they might be going with the _Uncharted_ route and changing all the characters' faces every game.
Honestly a bit disappointed with the ending.
- Barely a boss fight.
- No final choices.
- No multiple endings.
- Cheesy sequel bait. As if you need any excuse to make 10 more Tomb Raider games.
Well you could choose to spare Konstantin. It wouldn't result in a different ending or anything, just different paths for the character.
Tomb Raider has been a series for over two decades. What makes you think they planned on ever ending it? It’s a staple just like Zelda, Mario, etc
Just finished this game. Loved it. Definitely better than the first one.
Cons: Lara still not believing in the unknown after all that shit with the sun queen & no real explanation on the divine source at all
That changes in the third game with Lara
"Rise of the Tomb Raider"
Has Lara going from place to place trying to find and kill the Plastic Surgeon who operated on her face and turned her into an abomination.
Well I suggest you go back and relook at the older games, because back in the day she had the lifeless face of a blow up doll. Her voice was sexier though :|
more realistic and natural, last game she looked like a plastic doll, however I thought that last game was better
Andy Oz seriously go out of your room for a bit, I highly recommend it
If you think that face is an abomination, I have to inform you that you're an extremely homosexual male. Not that I have a problem with that. Just saying. Lara is a perfect 10 in RotTR by any objective standard, bud.
quiet rogue Look up Camilla Luddington her voice actress .
On a next Episode of Lara Butt Z, Lara going against Imperial Troopers.
Good ending!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤔
The click bait is deep enough even spongebob could reach it
so does this mean TR3?
***** Thank you so much!!! I'm so so excited!
+Matthew Edmunds In 1 month is gonna to be a new dlc call baba yaga and is gonna be about a house of a witch and maybe the person in the radio can be there
+Orane L. Don't you mean a trinity :)
+Orane L.
Hm...
That would be interesting. It'd be cool to see what they could change with Lara and/or improve.
Orane L.
They did really good with the story too, but somehow, it's a little disappointing, like they could've made the story longer, added more tombs, more enemy types, fixed the other outifts, e.t.c.
Batman would probably give her credit for hiding in sight and using silent kill to take down her enemy, excluding the killing part.
Disagree. Death is like OP said, a challenge or disease we can (indeed artificially) overcome. As we have overcome all other diseases.
i'm here just to see how cute Lara looks in that sniper scope at the end
i love Lara with all my life i just wished they make her more "hotter". i do understand that they're trying to be realistic as possible but if a comet would suddenly hit earth that shit is still a game. and am i the only one in here who doesn't really like the front part of her hair? like wtf? and i could only wish she would be using the iconic dual pistols...
+Spencer Vistar Same. I mean what no I don't care for... pfffft. what do you mean
this was just the second game, if you really understood the story she was not even sure why she was doing it, going after the divine source.
When you pick them up to view them, she'll say something like "I still remember the day I used those"
I think that was a subtle hint the developers left us but hey idk
omg Im so fucking with you on the hair thing. I thought it wasnt as bad in the first game, since it made her look "younger and inexperienced" in a way and it added to the "castaway" thing as well, but it really gets on my nerves now and its sorta unrealistic in a way. they should change it, really to show laras progress.
Spencer Vistar search her up on pH she will look hitter
I'm pretty sure she's getting on the plane to go to where the next game will take place
Uncharted 4 was boring as fuck.
who is watching to remember the timeline for shadow of the tomb raider ?
Disappointing ending
NTK GAMING more like a to be continued....
she defeated two armies of soldiers but couldn't hide from one sniper
two armies and literal mythological creatures like the Oni and the Deathless
What a stupid game. Can´t they just make one which is like the old, good ones?
equenoxe86
I agree.
*****
That wasn´t very polite, shithead.
*****
Oh I´m sorry, did I hurt your feelings? Good. Next time think twice before you say to someone "go to hell" without reason.
*****
whatever
I hope they make another game. Different to Shadow as I felt it was a disappointing end to the trilogy. I'd be quite happy for Crystal to go back to doing the game as they did really well. It would be good to have a darker, more mature Lara Croft story.
Why does Jacob look exactly like Arthur Morgan from Red Dead?
I was so sad about Jacob.. :( I've always worn the Remnant jacket he gave to Lara
