Also thanks to some design decisions you cant "focus farm" content. Game wants you do to everything even a little bit. For average player its just to much.

HUGE fan of borderlands. Been playing since day 1 of BL1. It's just so fun. The farming. The leveling. The story can be a bit disappointing at times but none the less its still great. The end game does lack a bit aside from farming perfect gear but that's why you make another character. I have well over 150 characters on BL2. Almost 100 on TPS. And.. I'm not gonna bother counting my characters on BL1. There's a lot. And I mainly only play my lilith that I'm trying to get every legendary and every pearl on. Only missing 3 legendaries I think. However I was not holding my breath on BL3. I'm happy it finally got revealed. Will it be worth the wait? Can't say from just the trailer but I can say I got goosebumps from it and I cannot wait. Also definitely picking up BL1. And Rhykker, I love you, but it's not the game's first GOTY edition. It had GOTY back on PS3 and 360. This is just a remaster
Not sure if he's saying Grim Dawn is Titan Quest 2, or saying it's more like Titan Quest 2, but if the latter, there was no Titan Quest 2, just the Immportal Throne expansion to the original. I just picked up Grim Dawn and all the expansions, hoping to enjoy it a lot. I really enjoyed Titan Quest back around 2007.
I think Borderlands 2 is my fav game of all time. Just thousands of hours in co-op, weird mod playthroughs and so on. I just hope B3 will meet our wishes.
Torchlight, PoE, Wolcen, Last Epoch, Grim Dawn, Lost Ark, Warhammer Chaosbane, Diablo. So many aRPGs that it's getting hard if not overwhelming to keep track of them all.
@András Ács tbh, the only aRPG games that interests me right now are the Warhammer Chaosbane & Lost Ark, which aren't even out yet. So I tend to ignore the rest.
Torchlight, Grim Dawn, are both good and worth playing. I am looking forward to Chaosbane. I will watch the others that arent out yet. PoE and Diablo can rot in their graves.
PoE is more advanced in terms of mechanics, but Grim Dawn trully holds the old Diablo 2 spirit, without the bullshit mechanics (pots in belt and and so on). It has the same pacing (slow tank, stupid fast/squishy mage, balanced range), and the enemies feel very familiar in the interaction with us (attack patterns, skills and defenses). There is one thing tho, that will ruin your life eventually: Arcane enemies. They need to be removed ASAP from the game.
The new version (I have it) appears to be online only which might count as DRM. I tried to get offline as I was getting server lag but couldn't figure it out. In Alpha this was not the case.

Love the Borderlands series! Very excited about BL3! Also looking forward to trying out Grim Dawn's new expansion, Wolcen reaching full release, etc. Great video!
For PoE, I love Delve, but I HATE having to get sulphite, sometimes the amount you get can only do one delve, sometimes I go through 5 maps without encountering a single sulphite batch
Net profit is very easy to manipulate if you have more than one company in your group. You put your HQ in a tax haven and all your actual business centres are loss making offset by the profit of the HQ. Making sure the HQ makes all the profit is quite easy. Your subsidiaries can generate millions upon millions in revenue - yet claim very little profit, and sometimes a loss. The parent company doesn't mind at all. In fact some set up subsidiaries as "loss making centres" on purpose. For example charging the subsidiaries a 50% "HQ upkeep levvy" or making the HQ the logistics centre and putting a mark up of a few hundred percent on the raw materials the subsidiaries have to buy from HQ. Or claiming that any sale made where first contact was via the corporate website or via a corporate paid sales rep is a corporate sale not a subsidiary sale (regardless of who actually provides the goods and services) this is all normal and how companies like Google, Amazon etc get to pay tiny tax burdens on countries where they generate hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue a month.

Path of Exile: Just put each season's mechanic into a map. Syndicate maps, invasion maps, memory maps, mining mapsetc. Let people choose the content they want to engage with.
Concerning the new Path of Exile patch (3.6.3) : What they fixed about the Synthesis made the mechanic actually so much fun now with so many loots! So if you left the league early or didn't play it yet : NOW is a good time to play it, the system is really fun and not as confusing as it was before.
Great job on how you are shifting your content towards game news overall and less about D3. It really shows how your strategy changed since the Blizzcon fiasco! Cheers bud!
Not a fan of boderlands I am not into its design style, but I appreciate the innovative creativity surrounding the game, it is no doubt a milestone for evolving games.
17:58 They haven't released D2 (and War3) on GOG cause it's up on Blizz's own shop. D1, War1 and War2 were the only ones that were not available directly through Blizz. And they're not working on D2 remaster yet, cause the "classics team" is working on War3 right now, when that's released they'll start doing D2.
Wolcen needs to smooth out the attack/spell animation and how long it locks you into not being able to move..its kinda like Poe it just isn't smooth...
Thanks for mentioning the Wolcen beta. It has a lot of potential and is a visual feast. Anyone looking to see a next gen Diablo clone happen come to fruition should definitely check it out. Its a lot of fun.
I love how you can start up borderlands 1 and it still feels like a somewhat new game, it doesn't give off that old-ass vibe, i guess that's because of the art style they chose
Wolcen will prolly never really release, just in continuous retesting, revamping like Star Citizen, they have taken their sweet time and constantly retconned already existing content, they are shooting themselves in the foot.
Grim Dawn is pretty awesome, thou id also say that the devotion system can be a bit overwhelming for someone new too (not as bad now that we have a search function in it). Grim tools is a life saver at times, would definitely check it out to anyone playing or that will be playing it.
Thank you Rhykker!!! I bought the Kove via your "link in the description" and it auto applied the discount, which was awesome. It showed up yesterday and its a great little speaker. I love it, and so does my wife....so now its her speaker...😢😋 Wise words to live by " Happy Wife, Happy Life"
Really love all the Borderlands games! Cell shading, the comedy and the billions of different loot you can get is awesome! Mad Max meets looter shooter!
Just an FYI Rhykker, Diablo 2 is and has been for quite some time, available to purchase through blizzard on their online store. I believe the same is (or at least was) true of warcraft 3, which is why they were not available on GoG. Blizz themselves had already done the work of keeping them compatible with modern OS's, and was/is still selling them, which was not the case for D1, W1, and W2. So D2 not being on GoG is actually meaningless because why would blizzard let Gog take some of their sales. With these older games, they agreed to it because GoG did the work of making the games compatible. They would not be doing this work with D2.
YES! Absolutely a huge fan. The storyline, the endearing characters, the funky little lines of text across weapons, random town descriptions. It's the setting of Borderlands that was created that is what I loved. Add a wonderful co op mode, I've sunked thousands of hours... and not regretting!
I think the danger of the PTR system is that a lot of casual players won't bother with it (or will only play that as their 'season' then play other games until the next 'season'), and that skews the 'dialling in' process, meaning that you get a second round of it when the season goes live anyway. And ofc as you mentioned, there's a risk of burnout for those who play the PTR before the season goes live.
I personally LOVE Borderlands series, one of my favorites and one I have spent the most time on. Love its art style, its comedic dialogue and Loads of Weapons is what brings me back. Cant wait for 3.
Borderlands 2 and tps are some of my favorite games. They perfected the looter-shooter genre and combined it with some of the best humor of any video game out there
You're a bit late on the poe league. The patch reduced the number of modifiers you can get on memory maps and increased the rewards, thereby reducing the amount of work required to make it a valuable addition to your routine. At this point, if someone is still confused it just means they haven't even tried to understand it.
5:50 yeah but the problem is that a LOT of their games catalogue are Older games, while those hardcore fans and nostalgia/retro gamers will buy from GoG, a lot of people who doesn't care about old games, will not care much about GOG. And while GOG also have recent games, the mere fact that all those recent games are also on steam, makes it difficult, because if you buy a game from GOG and your friend buy the same game on steam, there's no guarantee that you might be able to play in coop togheter... And thats a big deterent. When me and my friend bought D:OS2 to play in coop, we all bought it on steam ( well in MY case, it was because i bought it in Early acces, while the game was still in Beta, but thats also one of the reasons). Now CD projeckt, don't really need GOG to make money, they made that platform, to 1, have their own platform back when Witcher 2 launched, and also because they, themselfs wanted to be able to play on old games with new hardware and made the service available to everyone.
When I saw "Diablo 2 remaster" I just thought "WAIT WHAT, WHAT DID I MISS" :DD I mean, the cinematic is actually really good and I'm looking forward to it being actually remastered by Blizzard
There was another big bit of news: Bethesda Game Studios snuck in a small sneak peek of their development of The Elder Scrolls Vi during their "25 year anniversary of The Elder Scrolls" video and Todd Howard talked about it. He said they are using photogrammetry for TES VI (and Starfield) and showed off some rock textures that are really amazingly realistic looking (as opposed to them having muddy looking textures in the past). They also showed an amazingly realistic looking NPC that they made by using motion capture and photogrammetry on Skyrim Grandma. Yes, BGS has responded to the fan petition for her to be in TES VI by doing exactly that.
I love Borderlands. It's just a great mix of so many things I like. Although I gotta say that first one was more up my alley thematically, since it was a bit more serious than the next games and DLCs, would really like series to return back to its more serious space western roots without losing its humor. New one looks so much better though, weapons especially are so much more detailed now, very beautiful. They have clearly refined their art-style and don't rely on crude cell-shading so much anymore. Excited for all these new ARPG IPs, good news all around!
Just started the PS4 runthrough of PoE and I think I like Synthesis a bit more than Bestiary. I find myself working through memories and enjoying it more than worrying about gathering animals for the menagerie. However, the caveat is that I find PoE to be an absolute model for what ARPG's should be and I would take a ho-hum Bestiary over virtually everything D3 has gotten thusfar. Seemingly endless rifts don't cut it for me.
I think the comments on PoE having too many mainline things to do was perfect. I really enjoy the game, but I keep finding myself quickly overwhelmed as I start reaching higher levels. All the content is great, but the fact that I have to almost master all of it is really overwhelming and a turn-off.
Wolcen beta is awesome. A little too light on content imho but definitely big improvements over alpha. Pistols/ranged weapons look less effective than melee but it can easily be me doing everything wrong.
"Everyone is looking foward to..." / "They're sugesting they're going to be revealing something else... and I'm looking foward to what that may be..." Ah those words... my heart breaks everytime I heard them...
The only thing confusing is the synthesis system. The rest of the league makes perfect sense and is easy to run on console. If they did like a quick tutorial or explanatory on how to synthesis new items from the memory weapons then that's be awesome.
You do not have to delve to play sythesis. You do not have to do syndicate (keep running). You do not have to do alvas vaal temples. Nothing requires you do to play any specific path of exile content. You might not have complete freedom to farm only delves for 8 hours . You can certainly find way to achieve those goals with groups and trading. I don’t feel like I have to juggle 7 leagues at once. Just pick something you find fun and follow a method to achieve that goal. Trying to fulfill a goal with efficiency can feel very rewarding.
Greetings Rhykker, I've been a long time follower and loves your d3 video. This is also where I primarily get the news regarding the game industry. Although I am unsure whether you are aware of the sketchy speaker promotion you are promoting. You can get this speaker for around 80 bucks from amazon, which is the equivalent of the 65% discount. It has the EXACT same design as many other speakers from BOHM, Soundpeats, Treblan and etc. Which you can get for under 50 bucks. This is merely a minor detail, keep up the good work Rhykker! Looking forward to your next video

I personally LOVE Borderlands series, one of my favorites and one I have spent the most time on. Love its art style, its comedic dialogue and Loads of Weapons is what brings me back. Cant wait for 3.
Your hilarious Ryker. Much love from Ausland 😁
Please I look forward to your review of Grim Dawn! It makes So happy that you are enjoying the game I am a big fan of the game on of yours as wells
That was a deftly placed "giggity". Well played, good sir.
What's a coopon code?
Borderlands 2 and tps are some of my favorite games. They perfected the looter-shooter genre and combined it with some of the best humor of any video game out there
Seriously clickbait mentioning the Diablo cinematic as "DIablo 2 remastered"
You're a bit late on the poe league. The patch reduced the number of modifiers you can get on memory maps and increased the rewards, thereby reducing the amount of work required to make it a valuable addition to your routine. At this point, if someone is still confused it just means they haven't even tried to understand it.
Isnt the legeau mechanic in PoE some kind of test phase for the content to go core?
Aaaand lastly on some Diablo news.... well... Borderlands 3 is coming guys ! :D
I don't consider Divinity Original Sin franchise as Arpg's, but Crpg's. The first ones were
Arpg's though.
Yes, BGS has responded to the fan petition for her to be in TES VI by doing exactly that.
no torchlight frontiers news :( they did a huge thing this week too and i was hoping to get a rundown
Any idea on lost ark English version will they release it soon
No update on that :(
@@Rhykker ok thanks
I love Borderlands. It's just a great mix of so many things I like. Although I gotta say that first one was more up my alley thematically, since it was a bit more serious than the next games and DLCs, would really like series to return back to its more serious space western roots without losing its humor. New one looks so much better though, weapons especially are so much more detailed now, very beautiful. They have clearly refined their art-style and don't rely on crude cell-shading so much anymore.
Excited for all these new ARPG IPs, good news all around!
About Wolcen, this is NOT THE FINAL BETA, but just a GAMEPLAY BETA to test the combat !!!
what mic is he using?
Just started the PS4 runthrough of PoE and I think I like Synthesis a bit more than Bestiary. I find myself working through memories and enjoying it more than worrying about gathering animals for the menagerie. However, the caveat is that I find PoE to be an absolute model for what ARPG's should be and I would take a ho-hum Bestiary over virtually everything D3 has gotten thusfar. Seemingly endless rifts don't cut it for me.
Good lineup coverage this week
I think the comments on PoE having too many mainline things to do was perfect. I really enjoy the game, but I keep finding myself quickly overwhelmed as I start reaching higher levels. All the content is great, but the fact that I have to almost master all of it is really overwhelming and a turn-off.
Wolcen beta is awesome. A little too light on content imho but definitely big improvements over alpha. Pistols/ranged weapons look less effective than melee but it can easily be me doing everything wrong.
"Everyone is looking foward to..." / "They're sugesting they're going to be revealing something else... and I'm looking foward to what that may be..." Ah those words... my heart breaks everytime I heard them...
not a fan of shooter games myself but to each his own
That Diablo cinematic is my favourite of all time. Diablo 3's videos were no where near as good imo.. "It was the wanderer!" :)
Trying to fulfill a goal with efficiency can feel very rewarding.
i would really like a D2 remaster.
Personally I think the Synthesis League is/has been pretty straight forward, now then... if only they would fix the Intervention Crash/Freeze
Thanks for that massive 65% off, plus I'm from Canada and I will always watch you channel and try to support you
