My daughter used to call him Frank Tomato when she was only about 4 or 5 Bless years later she paid for me to go and See him live at the Royal Albert Hall with Sammy Davies Junior and Liza Minnelli the Ultimate Event what a night I’ll never forget what a show felt like I was in the same room as God
Yeah I know right! It's Sinatra were talking about. He could get any girl he wanted to go to bed with him. But I'm glad he sang songs like this because people who are hurt can relate to songs like this and it helps make their depression somewhat better.
Drivel? Some people are just melodically challenged. This is a strong song with a quite memorable chorus. BTW, the chorus is directly from Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2 third movement (Adagio). I'm a big fan of Frank but he did not do this melody justice. The chariman wasn't perfect. Drivel? Really?
@@garyeaton6172 What do you mean? Eric Carmen sang his song perfectly. He is a terrific singer and a songwriter! He might not be as good as Frank Sinatra, but Eric was a great singer! Period.
Never liked frank Sinatra, he is not a good singer, never understood the hype about his singing, he's very mundane and monotone. Terrible rendition of this great song.

Like to have had Frank do a studio version
As usual, he made it his own. Don't know he did not record this one. Great arrangement by Don Costa.
Its great to hear how various artists perform their own take on popular music..
Saw him sing this live loved it
I saw him wit ma n sis few times carnegie hall..in 80,s..soon after sammy died was 1 n buddy rich band opening for him .n lionel hampton
Just Eric Carmen lef this world last march. RIP
Don't understand the negative comments. I think this is great. Probably prefer Eric Carmen's version but this is a great rendition.
Agree...great rendition. He sang it ala Frank Sinatra style.
Frank Sinatra never recorded this song just sang it live
I saw Sinatra live I can die a very happy man I’ll probably see him again on the other side
I'm sure we will.
I pray I see him again
THE MAN SHOULD BE NOMINATED FOR SAINTHOOD.
Nice song
There's a lot of songs Frank should of Recorded
Frank Sinatra is the Best
Is this 1976? Great song choice for The Chairman. Never recorded by him in a studio.
Don't quit your day job pal, unless your day job is singing.
Prefer the original
I’m one of FS’s biggest fans but I’m afraid this one crashed and burned!
Schuyler King then you have no emotion
The Chairman of the Board butchered that one...
mike harvey
Yes he dld. I guess he was human after all. The worst I ever heard from Ole Blue Eyes.
With his impeccable taste and musicianship, I'll never understand why he sang drivel like this.

Hey JFK, Frank did your inaugural...you can't spill the beans!

The song is good. His timing and phrasing were just a total mess. Never thought I would say that about FS.
Paul Marinaro are you for real
Just watched Eric Carman sing this song and he ruined it.
Eric Carmen wrote the damned song!
He probably did write it but he couldn’t sing it

Jerrys kids booed frank. They hated this song and his cover of it
