  • On TBN's special, Think, Pray, Vote, Phil Vischer joins Kirk Cameron to discuss how we can navigate a world that is filled with false information. Listen as they unpack the idea that Jesus wouldn't choose one political party, and that we should first define ourselves as Christians, and not base so much of our identity in our political affiliations.

Prophets are chosen by god to deliver a specific message. This is the 'dictionary definition'. So unless God spoke directly to Phil, as he did to Abraham or Moses, Phil is not a prophet.
Don't get me wrong, I love listening to him and his words can certainly get someone closer to God. But prophet he's not. Actually in Christianity there can be no more prophets now that Jesus has been crucified. The message that god had for humanity is complete. There prophets before Jesus, to establish the nation of Israel and prepare the world, then god incarnated into a man known as Jesus. That's it. Only need to wait for existing prophecies to materialise. Anyone who calls themselves a prophet is either a liar or delusional (think Muhammad, or Joseph Smith)

Phil's points about looking at it in a Biblical way is great. Many of my Christian friends vote for different parties than I do, but we desire the same outcomes. We all want abortion to decrease, we all want unity and justice, but we differ on how they can be achieved. One important thing for Christians to remember is that no matter who your christian brother or sister voted for they are still your christian family. They are not evil or unchristian. the culture is one of constant movement as if taking a moment to stop and think will lead to the end of the world. I can sometimes keep up, but it is exhausting in the end. Even leisure activities are treated like a competition that one must win. this kind of manic busyness does not necessarily produce bigger better results. sometimes, you are doing nothing but turning wheels, and going in circles. And most times, you are being inconsiderate doing that.
American culture, like all cultures has its weaknesses and strengths. being outside of anyone's culture is generally exhausting, but the problem comes in when Americans think theirs is the best and only and default way.

The reason why women choose the option of abortion is important and relevant in reaching out to these women...they are in pain, they are desperate and need to hear and know that there is a God who hears and cares about them, not the law. Many who have chosen the option of abortion are aware that it is wrong but felt they had no other option, and legislating abortion will never stop the desperate women...illegal abortions existed long before any attention was paid to abortion publicly

I have no idea how you teach empathy, genuine empathy not check mark empathy.
Any body can put a smile on their face (check mark) but does it reach their heart (genuine). Real genuine empathy is a grace and miracle from God, I do not think it can be taught, their are exceptions but in general if everything is working out for you in this world I think it becomes next to impossible to get someone to even understand it, because their value system has been compromised by the ease of life.

@@bootsofescaping01 so true! It begs the question as to what persons believe concerning the word of God and it’s authority in our lives. We in the church are no different in our attitudes today than the Pharisees and the Sadducees who followed Jesus and intently watched to see if He was breaking the law. The law was the important thing to them as they did not recognize him as the Saviour sent by God. Sadly, the evangelical church has an agenda to guide the second coming of Christ and part of the agenda is to bring to public attention some sins giving the impression that God is more concerned with some sins than others...a hierarchy of sin, which is a lie! God hates SIN! Many persons are hurting and need to know that is a God who cares....the law is unable to,reach people’s hearts, it didn’t when Jesus walked the earth and it certainly will not do it now.....God is concerned about the lack of attention paid to people who are hurting and broken and choose abortion as a solution.

The agenda of the evangelical church is equal to that of the Saduccees and Pharisees to make Jesus into a national leader who would bring prominence and glory to their earthly position, but Jesus constantly reminded them of His mission...to seek and save those who are lost, those trapped in the circumstances of fallen humanity and the only thing that can alleviate their pain is belief in Jesus. The internet has several stories of the pact made by the evangelical church leaders and Donald Trump from 2015.....they provided a laundry list of actions and positions they wanted him to,take and in exchange they would deliver the votes of the flock they influenced, announcing Donald Trump as God’s annointed 😳Franklin Graham recommended that persons could “hold their nose” and vote for Trump😳.....like the children of Israel, God gave them the desire of their heart....Trump as President, and alas the exposure of the lies and falsehood in the belief system of many of the leaders in the evangelical church and the false prophets.
