that solo Andy played was the killer! i'm into guitar so i like how he was so slippery with playing double notes riffs! so fine!
Masterful performance by a real powerhouse band! I could listen to this over and over.
Through the years Andy Fairweather Low probably played about half the cool licks and hooks that everybody thought was EC.
Chris Stainton on piano, played with Cocker and Leon Russell on Mad Dogs and Englishmen, played the piano on Feeling Alright, still cooking today!

They've definitely got a better instrumental sound set up than Joe Cocker, who's set-up was intentionslly sparse and done on the cheap but IMHO Cocker infuses his version with so much more rhythm and blues in his vocals. Clapton's the better guitarist but Cocker's the better vocalist.

in the 60's I bought John Mayall album featuring this guy named Clapton...I became a fanatic fan. I was dreading the draft that summer. I survived 2 years of miraculous stateside duty.
Great song great sound. Vocals are a Tour De force. Just brilliant.

AFL's grandmother used to live across the road from us in Cardiff. Her house had a garage but she didn't have a car so my old man used to rent the garage from her for 10 shillings a week as we didn't have a garage, can't remember ever seeing him tho although I believe he visited a few times.
Mr Blue Eyed Soul himself. What an inspired choice of Eric ro include him in the line up - both for his keyboard skills and vocals. Also great how Eric showcases individual band members talents throughout the gig.
Andy you did such a great interview and again I was so happy to see you with Eric I M an alcoholic and you hit on two songs that you have done with Eric and I saw you years ago drunk with Eric couldmt remember one song. I can today 24 years sober because of God Holy Mother River of Tears My Father's eyes. The tribute to Robbie you pl Alex with Eric I sat in the front row crying beautiful God bless you ❤

The movie! Mad dogs and Englishmen!!!! Everyone must see this movie! I saw it when I was ten! Joe cocker! The undeniable Leon Russell! This movie is a must-see for any rock and roll enthusiast! I'm not sure where to get it it's a must-see! As is the movie by The Beatles let it be! Thank u Yoko for breaking the Beatles in the pieces! We would have never gotten George's great all things must pass project! Wow I never thought of that! Actually thank you so much! We would have never gotten Paul McCartney's first album! The cherries album with Linda! Okay Yoko what a mastermind! She masterminded the whole 70s music revolution!
