    Chael… made me cry man…
I am suffering from Avascular necrosis on both femoral heads. Need both hips replaced. I have large non healing wound’s On my lower legs cause by edema. They require cleaning multiple times a week. It’s so painful and have to shuffle to walk even with crutches.
Over two years now I’m waiting for a procedure that will remove e some badly damaged valves in my
Major veins and arteries. Held up by insurance, I’m happy to say this Friday I’ll be getting the vein surgery that will help heal the ulcers. My legs look awful. They hurt and I’m frustrated.
However, Mark is my inspiration. He bounced back after some hip issues and kept going. He finally got some much needed relief and BAM… life
His encouraging words to me, a person he didn’t know at all made my frustrations and hope become easier to cope with. Watching him battle, makes me wanna battle. I’m proud of Mark and how far he came back from. I know you will pull through.. you have Randelman looking day at you, an angel fighting for you.
Mark we all love you brother. Wake up and realize how you are a Hero. A true warrior. Prayers my friend

I grew up watching UFC on VHS. Coleman was one of my favorites back then. I was at a Tough man contest in southern Ohio, at 17 years old, when I got to meet him. I was ringside and was getting amped up as a kid, looking forward to fighting Tough Man the next year once I hit 18. Music was loud in between fights and people were moving around, when I felt some hands lay on my shoulders a bit harder than I thought they should in my 17 year old, amped up mind. I spun around like I was gonna whip somebody's ass. I was staring, eye level, at a very wide chest. Coleman just looked at me with a smile on his face like I was cute. My buddy came running from a few rows back. He slapped me on the back and said, "You almost got knocked out by the champ!" Me, my buddy and Mark all had a laugh in that moment. Much respect to Mark Coleman.

@@uncouthboy8028 I didn't. When I was watching the competition within my weight class at 17, it looked like a fun time and an easy 500 bucks or whatever they were paying at the time. By the next year there was a guy that came into the weight class that would've been a problem for me. Haha. You didn't get paid unless you won all your fights and I had to be realistic after seeing the guy. I would've walked away with nothing to show for it but a beating.

After the fight, his daughters came into the ring and they were really little and they were upset because their daddy was beat up and bloody. He hugged them and said, "It's okay, babies. Man... I love Mark. He was married to Kelly, who was a friend of mine in high school, during his early UFC run.
He was so incredibly cool when i met him, and he always remembered my name after. He and Kell would come into my work (Max&Ermas) in Columbus, and i would joke and ask him to "punch me,"and "put me outta my misery!" He came back with, "it'd hurt me more to punch you, trust me." This was right after he fought Mo. I saw him a long time down the road when he was training other fighters, and still remembered my name and asked me how i was doing and how my family was. I was working on Bethel Rd. In Columbus at a bar and he and Kevin Randelman came in, obviously, these two could've ran through that bar in under a minute, but when a fight broke out they both snatched up guys and "walked" them outside, no questions asked. He is truly a humble, and amazing man. I wish that i knew him better, but i guarantee he is a loving father and friend. My prayers are with him today and always. I pray with his daughters and his loved ones to stay strong an positive. God bless you "Hero, and Hammer" Mark Coleman, you will BEAT THIS! God bless.....🙏.....❤

His house burned down twice (pretty crazy coincidence) the first time I’m pretty sure there house just burnt down but the second time we were in high school then we were in different high school when I heard the story but his younger brother was trapped in the house when all the family got out when he realized he ran back in and literally saved his brother life his brother is still head to toe completely scared when I see pictures on Facebook the older brother the one I knew seems to be a lot better but my god I can’t imagine that courage he had that night to run into that house he’s one of the biggest hero’s I think in my home area I’ll never forget that just because of how I said at first it’s the exact story of don’t judge a book by its cover with his glasses on he was just some nerdy guy but fuck man when those glasses came off in the middle of the night he turned into super man I’ll never loose respect for him I was never that big of friends with him in school more just class mates but fuck he was a tough kid and I think I’ve been through a lot it always shows that there’s always someone bigger badder and tougher then you no matter what circumstances.

I helped pull a man from a house fire a year ago. Some people think, "I'll run through the flames, I'm getting everyone out."
After less than 1 minute in that home, I couldn't breathe, i couldn't see, and could feel the hair burned from my face and hands. It was hotter than I could EVER have imagined. Thankfully, we had a lot of help, we found the guy at the last minute and got him out.
Mark is an absolute savage and a fkin legitimate hero. He knew that he was likely sacrificing his own life, and he went back in anyway..... My heart goes out to his family, friends, and fans. Praying for Mark's full recovery.

I met Mark Coleman in Cleveland at a Joe Rogan show. I don’t know how many people knew who it was but I immediately asked for a picture with Mr Coleman. When I lived in Columbus I heard from people who knew him well that he was struggling severely with his memory and substance abuse. I hope to God he ends up being okay. Great man.

This is something you dont forget, i literally went through the same thing with my cousins parents when their house caught on fire in the middle of the night. 2 dogs and both parents we could get out but the pipelines melted and we couldnt use water to throw on the fire so we literally grabbed milk to try to get to one dog that was sadly not able to get out... frozen in fear and we couldnt get to him without possibly dieing ourselves. Had to go get some oxhygen and bloodwork afterwards but he'll be fine. Its a mental thing more than anything. He did everything he could.

Mark is off the vent and talking!!!! Just read, as of fri 3/15 11a. Says "I'm the happiest man in the world". Walked through a burning house fire not once, but 3 times to save both his parents and literally gave his all to go back again to save his dog. What a heart! What a hero! Doesn't hurt to have Mark "the Hammer" Coleman for a son. 🙏

Mark Coleman was already tough as nails before he chose to run into a burning home multiple times to save his parents, now he's a true hero. I can't send enough positive thoughts and energy his way right now, hopefully he can pull through this. And RIP to Hammer, that dog is a hero too.

Honestly, despite how bad of a situation this is, I’m happy mark is getting the respect he deserves, I’ve seen him training at his age working hard to overcome injuries, and despite being out of his prime, I would see nothing but hate towards him on his instagram telling him to hang it up and calling him an old man. Glad people get to see the real him. Most people in his situation would think for themselves, mark is built different tho.

I live in Columbus, Ohio and have always been a huge OSU Buckeye Fan of many of their sports teams. I followed Mark Colman when he wrestled for The Buckeyes and he was a Beast to say the least! Many years later when he decided to go into the brand new world of MMA, myself and many of his Fans followed along. As he proceeded in his career it became very obvious as well what a tremendous person he was away from his sport and his chosen profession. Always cordial, no airs about him....what you saw was how he was....period. So, when I heard and then read about this situation...I immediately thought "I'd expect nothing less out of this guy" Balls To The Wall even in regular life! MOO From COW-lumbus To All 👋

I met Mark and Wes at a movie theater for a UFC ppv. He told me one day I’ll be the UFC heavyweight champion and I’ll knock out Wes to get the belt. We got a pic of “the 3 heavyweight champions.” I was and still am 5’5. I was probably 140 at the time. He talked to everyone that wanted a pic for a couple minutes or so and then talked to anyone that was still hanging around for another hour until the workers were done cleaning and were locking up. Dude is one of a kind.
