ATL: The POTUS Sleepover

Saturday May 18th & Sunday May 19th 2024:
Welcome to an extraordinary weekend in May! A weekend in which the President was in town doing what President's do - fundraising & delivering ridiculous speeches. But his activities are of no concern for us. What we're interested in are the aircraft that accompany him! So prepare oneselves for multiple glimpses of Air Force One along with the C-17s that lug around armored limos & a helicopter. There's lots of other action too, which I'm sure you will find amusing!

Matt was there on the Southside parking deck Saturday Morning (25th) spotting after I dropped my kid off for his flight. Was looking for you buddy! Was a great day if spotting. That Team USA A350 took off on 27R and the Koreans used up the entirety of 27L on their landing crossed 27R and taxied right past us on Taxiway Lima......got some fantastic shots of her. This was also my first time seeing them use the new Whiskey loop in person. Only thing missing were our French friends 777-300ER and my day would have been PERFECT!!!

Damn...I was really hoping that the Compass flight was loaded with compasses!! There is clearly an unsurmountable demand for old school compasses And that flight was our hope for guidance!
