    This was the year I 1st started watching baseball. I was 12 and fell in love with the sport after going to my first Dodger game where Mike Piazza hit a go-ahead 2 run HR in the bottom of the 8th. And he's in this video!

    I loved those “What a Game” commercials. This was far and away the best.

    It's great to see this again. I remember seeing this on TV back in 96. I believe it was right after "Name" was a hit on the radio. For some reason, seeing these guys do this song on TV showed me they weren't just another rock band. This made them more relatable somehow. I've been a fan ever since.

      Most teams aren't represented here lol. No Yankees, Red Sox, or Cubs, things were wayyyyy different in the 90's

    I'm surpised they only featured Atlanta players in this commercial given this played during the 1996 World Series (Yankees vs Braves), when surely New York fans were more prevalent.

    Do people of Buffalo root for the Yankees? Mets?
    Can’t be Boston …
    New Yorkers unite! ❤

    • @PaperRaines
      @PaperRaines 20 дней назад

      Honestly they probably root for neither, upstate New York hates the city and pretends they're closer to Canada than the US. I'm not convinced there's a big baseball market up there anyway, it's probably all Buffalo Bills country up there

      I heard this version in Seattle, in the 1990's, and didn't know who the artist was. I finally found out. This is so well done, such a polished version, it should've been a huge hit!!
