Phill, Mery xrsms and happy new year to you and family and ur viewer great thought process and approach I just want to add some thing that those new vehicles that have ADAS SYSTEM LIKE CRUSE CONTROL, CAMERS, RADARS AND SO ON if you play and mess around the bumpers specially front pumper the system will not be the same you will have other issues unless u do alignment and use ADAS tool to recalibrate the sensors to the right position so can work as should thanks for sharing cheeeeers.
Best of the season to you and your family as well. Yes you are correct and I'll send it to the dealer for calibration as I don't have the target fixture. Thanks.
I have a 2016 Tacoma that has had both of these issues. The blind spot monitor went bad because some genius at Toyota decided not to have a watertight seal causing corrosion of the wiring harness and controller box in the rear bumper. The heated seat is most likely a burnout modal due to improperly sized connectors for the clips installed. Both dumb designs with simple fixes (but not cheap)
this service info on identifix still looks better then mitchell for transport trucks…. typical oem troublemaker charts… and tsb… doesnt work change part… no wonder theirs so many parts changers…. then it says check for voltage but not load the circuit?
These Charts also apply on the older Mercedes from the 80s with the WIS. If this, then, change Controller. If that, change fuel distributors Ah yes. These things are cent-parts and grow on trees.
