This has literally just happened to me!!! I went from no stick drift to the worst ever. Right thumb stick up and down has been affected so badly. I can’t wait to try this with the alcohol swap cleaning it.

Great video. Scuf also has a problem recently where those plastic rings around the thumbsticks are too small and don’t fit tightly into the controller shell. This causes the thumbsticks to move around more than necessary as when the thumbsticks pushes against the rings, it moves the rings as well when it shouldn’t

I can’t believe this actually worked. I had minor stick drift on my Scuf but it became worse about a month ago and was a bit bummed considering at the moment I am full time student and can’t really afford another controller rn however as I was watching this video I said to myself it can’t be this easy. I grabbed some cue tips, rubbing alcohol, cleaned the analogs real good and blasted them with an air duster can to dry. I then tested my controller afterwards and zero stick drift. THANK YOU!
You're GOATed for this. Can't believe it worked. Left stick was drifting terribly on my xbox scuf instinct pro. Even with the max dead zones in apex, the stick drift was rampant to the point that the cursor was useless when looting/inventory managing. Followed your vid for a few minutes and it looks to be resolved now as I can't replicate the stick drift issue was experiencing. Thanks for this trick!!
Those green rectangle pieces on the stick itself open like latches. Open them, take out the disc clean it out with alcohol, replace the disk in properly and close them both. Repeat on the other stick aswell and your drift will be gone! This works alot better and will last longer, this is just a part of controller maintenance!

@@Luvrro On the analog stick itself there's a green box where the stick comes out of. You need to open those latches in order to fix the stick drift, there are more videos on youtube about this problem. I hope this helps a little
it's like glued i tried to open it but it's hard..

Only recommendation I have is using those cotton swabs that are kinda like a sponge, don't have to worry about cotton fibers being left behind as much

I’ve been having an issue where it jerks to the left but it’s not stick drift. If I leave the controller still it doesn’t move. It only starts jerking to the left whenever I use the analog stick

Thank you good sir🙏🏼🙏🏼 had miserable stick drift weeks after getting my controller. I have a theory that it happens to new ones a lot because of the new rings. Lots of plastic residue from rotating the sticks. Especially the right one. Cheers👍🏼
Man thank you!!! I had an disgusting controler drift since I bought it. Where I live theres dust everywhere and it got in my controller. After this, my aim got godly.
This video is great and does work but shortly after some of buttons on my controller stopped working. If this happens to you then all I had to do was press the buttons and wait some time and they worked again.

Having my infinity pro drifting left and right at times. More so to the left, and my scuf is barely a month old. 😔, giving this cleaning method a shot first before i got back to my old controller. Issue with mine is the right thumbstick.

What I do is take the thumb sticks apart and take a battery duster and clean it. Would that help prevent stick drift?

any ideas for connectivity issues? I find my impact disconnecting from my PC sometimes when the cable shifts. Great video though!!!
I just recommend not purchasing a scuff in the first place. This works as a temporary fix, but it will most likely come back. At least mine did, and scuff has the worst customer service. They pretty much just leave you out to dry.

Everything about this is great, love this. Although one thing; Is there a way to open the green sensor compartments at all? Once you take off the thumb stick itself?
There is. Going in the sensors is the best way to clean analog because dust gets caught in there and the only way to get it out is going in the sensors. But you can make drift much worse if you aren’t careful.
@@dusk3219 Any tips for being careful? Meaning like an alcohol amount or type of alcohol to use? Or should use something else? I love my custom controller lol (obviously lol i know) and I just wanna preserve the life as long as I can. Sorry for all the hassle.
gallade. No worries man. I haven’t done it in a while but here’s the video I used to guide me. ruclips.net/video/SiqGk9kDMhE/видео.html. He goes over what you need. Its actually pretty easy just scary because one mistake and its over. Really the only advice I can give you is be gentle. Since you have a scuf you can skip a bunch of steps and just remove the analog stick so you can just skip the video to 3:22.

Idk why but in certain games i play with photomode it seems to make my sticks act up. Its weird i could be playing a game like spiderman miles Morales and be fine but once i use the photo mode for more than a few minutes it just starts moving by itself whether it be my left stick moving left or the right stick moving left they both do it, idk what to do i could be wrong but i mostly notice it when i use photomode in games lmk if im not the only one because im losing my mind on this its very annoying (it also happens sometimes during playtime but mostly in fortnite/ghost of tzushima where it is especially annoying)
Question, won't the Qtip leave like little fuzzy white spots all over like from the tip? Or it won't cause it's wet from the alcohol?
