Okay, but will telling him how much we enjoy them just encourage him to share more of the ones he’s had on hand but hasn’t shared yet, or will telling him magically cause more weird customers to show up to create more Tales?
Rumor has it there’s a certain movie filmed in the back room of a Luna starring *Meredith Baxter Birney, Phoebe Cates,* and *Olivia Munn* where they and a guy in a falcon costume pour *gallon jugs of Ranch Dressing* all over *Ian* Filmed in *3D* using *Marc’s camera* and available as a bonus blu-ray with the pre-order of an Intellivision Amico _(individual blu-rays are _*_not for resale)_*
Funny thing...I googled who invented the 3D Camera and under the guy Pat mentioned, there was a guy named Marc that had filed for a bunch of invention patents.
This was too much, was super funny and still my favorite segment of the Podcast. Looking forward to another visit to Luna Video Games after mayhem dies down. Plus still wouldn't forget my visit to Luna Video Games.
“Marc Levoy is a computer graphics researcher and Professor Emeritus of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, a vice president and Fellow at Adobe Inc., and (until 2020) a Distinguished Engineer at Google. He is noted for pioneering work in volume rendering, light fields, and computational photography.” If it was this Marc, university people are weird man. Timeline fits with before he got into Adobe and Google. 3D camera may of meant like a 3 rendering camera software? Ended up getting his job later on, I mean best I could find haha
I believe everything on the business card, in as far as "I occasionally dig up a chicken bone" equates to being an archaeologist. He probably tried his hand at everything on there for a week or so. Perhaps the "inventor of the 3D camera" in his mind is "I thought up the concept before I heard someone else was already making em"
Mark is an American hero, hands down Also, they had 3D cameras 100 years ago. The first 3D movie was shown in 1922. 3D cinema predates color. It's always been a failed gimmick.
I work at a store and have had some weird people call in asking me what computer monitor would be the best for porn before. Never not awkward or creepy.
Honestly this made me a little sad. We’d have a few guys like this at an old job and some became “regulars”. Most were homeless vets. I hope that’s not what was going on with this guy.
speaking of "tales from the game store" I remember a gamestop employer who kept asking us what we did for a living everytime he saw someone in the store- and one time a guy was part of the stockmarket and this fucking game employer says; you got an inside shares to recommend? But the guy explained thats illegal to do, and the guy got very mad and said, with a loud voice, who is hurt but you helping me? I help you with discounts here and you help me with inside trading! with a serious look... but this dummy thought a guy with a well paid work is gonna gamble his career at the stockmarket for some young game seller... AND like a fucking guy working a game store has tons of cash to invest into the stockmarket? who is he fooling, lol- He also asked girls sometimes if they were single, so yes, mentally ill people can sometimes work at the store as well.
"This is when I realized that this job was not going to be normal and everything was going to be strange forever and ever from this day forward." lol :V
Slight conjecture here, but I think Mark died long ago, and this was actually his ghost. It's a projection of all Mark's dreams and ambitions that he never fulfilled in life. Wandering by day, he hopelessly tries selling the same few PS2 games over and over again despite no one accepting them. He aimlessly trudges along the beach every night in those waders, dragging along those two large trash bags and metal detector. If he catches you out on the beach between midnight and dawn, he devours your soul and turns it into an adult film on DVD which he then gives to various movie/game shop employees, given that they "don't look like fairies." That DVD he gave Ian was actually the soul of an avid beach goer named David, who went missing the night before.
If you invert the first word of Tales from the Game Store you can spell Tesla. Maybe the man in waders invented that too and Elon Musk stole it from him.
Let Ian know on Twitter how much you enjoy Tales from the Game Store and perhaps we'll get them more often!
Okay, but will telling him how much we enjoy them just encourage him to share more of the ones he’s had on hand but hasn’t shared yet, or will telling him magically cause more weird customers to show up to create more Tales?
"I'm a good person to know." This is a person you shouldn't get to know.
He sounds like a GTA mission character.

Not gonna lie I've watched every tales from the game store and every week im hopefull you guys add one! Favorite segment of the podcast!
When Pat started googling the guy's name, I was half expecting the first result to be a police rap sheet.
Funny thing...I googled who invented the 3D Camera and under the guy Pat mentioned, there was a guy named Marc that had filed for a bunch of invention patents.
Did you see the tasteful thickness of that business card, that subtle off white coloring, oh my god it even has a water mark.
Ian needs a tshirt that says "Doesn't Look Like A Fairy".
When he says he’s a good person to get to know, he’s probably not
*about to take a bite out of his lunch*
"Moist trade-in's"
*...puts down sandwich*
Waders, a metal detector, and a pile of wet games.
This guy has really got life all figured out.
His business card game is on point
He should have put Art Vandelay as his name on the card.
and dealing with imports/exports!
Latex salesman
I know a guy with a business card that has a similar list of "talents", except his list includes 'massage therapist'.
Coy bastard...
Please PM me his number.
@@TooBokoo if I still had the card LOL
I know what you did last Summer, wet trade-ins.
Subzero and scorpion?
🎵this ain't the Garden of Eden,🎵
🎵There ain't no angels above🎵
what a fantastic story this is the kind of content I love to hear every tale from the gamestore is a precious gem I hope we get more
This was too much, was super funny and still my favorite segment of the Podcast. Looking forward to another visit to Luna Video Games after mayhem dies down. Plus still wouldn't forget my visit to Luna Video Games.
Best story yet! You guys should write a sitcom based on all these stories!
God I love that intro. Never gets old

"weird moist trade-ins." The amount of NO-SELLING that Ian did to this line you'd think Pat was a local jobber LOL -Matt

Back-to-back TFTGS?? A weekend treat!
This was the funniest thing you guys have done. Love it
ian, you just made my day, hillarious!!!
BONUS? Is it my birthday? now let's make it even better lets get a continuation of Ranch Dressing
Should've offered him the Panesian games ;)
"You spoony bard!"
The best part is you could totally hear Ian saying this to the peculiar character. 🤔☠️
Don't go messing with the daughter of Zeus
IDK man I just googled "Inventor of 3D camera" and the first thing that appeared was someone named Marc..
I think it was him.
I wonder where he dumped the trash bags with body parts??😲
This man is the Nikolai Tesla of the 3D camera. He needs his credit.
North Of Nashira or the Grey of the telephone
I think you should consider adding the voice sample of "BONUS!" from Blazing Star to your sound board after watching the intro to this video.
That was the best tales frome the game store ever and I love that lan still have the business card 😂😃
Mark is an American hero, hands down
Also, they had 3D cameras 100 years ago. The first 3D movie was shown in 1922. 3D cinema predates color. It's always been a failed gimmick.
Maybe he was a lot older than Ian guessed xD
These need to be made into a compilation set
Congratulations you found the bard guard's card!
Love these stories!!!!!
Mark is a time traveller
How can you work at a gamestore and pay rent in California?
Man of culture.
He likely found these on his detecting sesh under the pier and sought you out to offload them.
This is the best one yet 😂😂😂
Just s normal day finding PS2 games on the beach
I work at a store and have had some weird people call in asking me what computer monitor would be the best for porn before. Never not awkward or creepy.
Probably one that doesn’t do too intense a colour palette? I don’t know. You probably don’t want unrealistically bright flesh tones, I’m guessing?
i know its just a background pic but i cant imagine this guy not carrying a cat into the store alongside him
2 in 1 week!
Ikr suck lucky boys we r 🤣
Invented the 3D camera in the 1840s, clearly a Vampire
That makes me wonder if people are burying games now.
I wonder if he knows the ranch dressing guy
Honestly this made me a little sad. We’d have a few guys like this at an old job and some became “regulars”. Most were homeless vets. I hope that’s not what was going on with this guy.
I mean if he bought a PS2 game, then presumably he had somewhere to play it.
LOL this guy fished a random bag of games and porn out of the lake with those waders!! Another great one Ian keep up the awesome work brother!!!
Hey it's the Cabbage Patch in the background that Pat talks to during the commercial watch parties on Twitch
what if he was a ghost and didnt know he had drowned
Now thats creepy
Far out.
This could only have gotten weirder if the guy had pulled out a bottle of ranch dressing.
I was wondering if you can tell if we have liked or disliked previous videos? So you can tell if we're loyal fans or not.

I think Ian met the real life George costanza lololol
Even if I ran a DVD store I wouldn't have taken it
I found a guy named Marc that has patents related to 3d imaging, and is a programmer and a lawyer. Maybe he was legit, but just weird
Do what you love and the money will come. This guy sounds like a national treasure.
Ah yes, all that metal in those PS2 games.
The anti shoplifting tab or strip on the case would set off the metal detector
Amazing into!!
Waderman Marc: The First Tale From The Game Store
You met Neil Breen? It's a magical day!
I like the waders guy. I would like to have a beer with him
"Weird/moist trade-ins".
Sounds like a magic man
So this guy can allegedly mine diamonds, cut diamonds, transport diamonds, and provide protection to the diamonds. Hmm...
And draft plans for a diamond storage facility.
Love these
"This is when I realized that this job was not going to be normal and everything was going to be strange forever and ever from this day forward."
lol :V
Did he go wading for the games?
Bonus!
how does pat know how those movies start
Is that a stock photo of Nathan Barnatt with a cat in a fish basket?
Cory Sharp maybe
At least his card didn’t showed Wata grader
Marc Levoy or Marc Schmiz?
A Bard Guard.
I can’t 😂😂😂😂
"Mark MacGyver" is the name on the card? XP
Does Ian’s boss know he has a podcast?
I believe he is the boss
@@michaelnevison2209 - I think he means the owner but yea I think he does know about the podcast.
I wonder if Ian ever gets any normal customers...
I’m kind of a big deal--Ron Bergundy
Love this vid

Nice way to slip in that mask thing.. you were lied to
Lmao!! Wth! 😂😂

Woo Hoo.
