They do work in stereo as I watched another video. And the reason for your interference is because you need to turn the lavalier down on your camera audio settings. One mic works on left channel and one works on right when both connected. The lav needs to be turned down as it's volume or pitch is naturally higher than the cam mic. Thank you
Hi Andy - I'm just now seeing your video on this mic comparison and purchased the Forevala S20 on Amazon based on your review. This was helpful in my purchase and extremely informational. In my opinion, the two mics sound identical. If you hadn't have mentioned it when you switched over, I would not have noticed. Where I noticed a difference was when you used the lav mic, which was much lower quality. I was disappointed in the quality drop because I was looking forward to having both mics. I guess I'll do some additional testing once I receive the product this week and then decide if I should keep it or return it. Thanks again. I loved the video and I'm subscribing to your channel now.
They advertise that the S mode is 'separate mode' where the lavelier is on one channel while the shotgun is on the other (to make up stereo)... But you say that doesn't work?
They do state it's for dual channel audio and stereo. They should be both recording a left and right channel for two separate tracks instead of one, so you can cut/split/adjust in post edit. They should both still be Stereo quality in Post edit. It does seem like the the lavalier is causing a lot of interference though from the cord. May not be insulated enough or may be because he has it on Mono instead. Definitely questionable with the lavalier issue.
One of the better reviews. Clear and concise. Jus what I wanted to hear.

Would this work with an adapter to connect to an Action Cam, like the DJI Action 3?

It didn’t work for me.
