The fact that the conversations here feel so natural is honestly uncanny. The stuttering, the fact that some of them actually talk over one another in some moments and the subtle emotes, like how Alan slightly smirks when calling out Charlie for when he flinches with one of the citizens of Brazil. Gives the show a sense of realism, despite the over the top happenings that go on in this universe.
I think the fact that Zach uses his regular voice for Charlie and Michael only slightly changes his voice for Pim and Alan makes it way easier to make the dialogue sound natural, which really helps so the dialogue never feels forced.
Zach said he wanted the show to be cartoon art style, but to be realistic and just normal in execution and that's the whole joke. The show is just the groups exploits and sometimes some outlandish stuff happens.
I love how they don’t sound like they’re acting, the comedy is in the stuttering conversations and when they awkwardly cut each other off to say something. They sound like actual people, which is funny because of the bizarre and completely abnormal world they live in.
The genius of this show is that everything seems completely grounded in reality, making it even more hilarious because nothing is forced. This show is objectively funny.

@@pugpartyproductions9499 I tried to find it myself but all i could find was peter getting into a car crash with a deer on youtube. But I feel like its the episode when Peter finds out that chris has a bigger dick than him.
0:56 I'm sure that the plane was likely referencing that one plane that crashed in the Andes a few decades ago, that forced the survivers to canabalise each other. Granted, the location of the crash was near Southern Chile, but it's either that, or a reference to a future episode like someone else said
I think the plane crash is less of a joke and more of a foreshadowing for the next episode. The plane in the background crashes, causing the airport to cancel all outgoing flights for a while, leaving the boys stuck there in Brazil with no hotel and no way out.
Blue Bart Simpson is almost a joke within a joke. I'd bet money that they made him blue skinned because in the 90s all the Simpsons merch had Bart in a blue shirt instead of orange. I think it was a thing to fight bootlegging, like if your Bart looked exactly like the show it wasn't official merch lol
not true, the merch was based off early model sheets which were finalized after the merch was in production. Bart's shirt was changed from blue to orange, but it was far too late to make the change on the merch
@@sonofab30 Maybe initially it was a mistake, but they definitely kept making blue shirt Bart Simpson's merch for YEARS, I don't think it stopped til at least 97 or 98, and I'm pretty sure throwing off bootleggers was part of that decision

I might be wrong here but doesn't water for the table mean bring a pitcher of water so that everybody at the table has access to it? if so she didn't listen, and Alan made an effort to hit the table with his finger to drive the point home and she couldn't care less lol I absolutely love the subtle jokes in this show. We even see Pim and Charlie look down at Alan's finger 👌
@@amp4105 Might depend where you live. Ive never seen a pitcher for the table. I've only ever had everyone get separate glasses. I've never had a pitcher of water left on the table so really nobody is wrong. Likely a cultural difference.
They were the best thing in comic con. "we are going to have a character called marge simpson marry the main character, that is a real name so you can't copyright it, they are going to mention that they are not the marge simpson from the simpsons"
About the last scene (the airplane one) i think it's a reference to the Lufthansa 527, an airplane that crashed against one of Rio de Janeiro's mountains in 1979. I mean, they also are in an airport of a BEACH CITY, and the only beach city in Brazil with an international airport (Aeroporto Santos-Dumont) is Rio de Janeiro.
I don't think it's a reference to anything, either it's going to tie into the next episode - airports are required to ground all fights if a plane crashes while taking off from them and thus this would trap them in Brazil - or it was just a shock gag where they figured: "what's something that the audience is completely not expecting?"
I know complimenting the realism of the conversations in this show isn't anything new by now. (The stutters, interruptions, etc.) But I love how at 0:30 when the waitress shows up sort of mid conversation, you can tell everyone is half *trying* to keep talking, but don't want to actually keep talking about the personal conversation they're having in front of a stranger.
The entire episode I was eyeing the planes in the background hoping they’d do something funny with them, then they left and I was like “nah”. I’m so glad and was so surprised when that last one came outta nowhere lol. Also it wasn’t a 911 joke/reference in the show and please at least put some mild warning before blasting me with explosive death and tragedy next time lmao
An overlooked but great part of this episode is in the beginning with Alan calling the statue “Big Jesus” then Charlie sarcastically corrects him. Pretty sure they were mocking your average atheist Redditor type with the exaggerated scoffing.
It's astounding how off all of these are 1. That first one clearly looks a lot more like Smithers than Bart 2. The TV is just running the in-universe Mr. Frog's show. The yellow thing is a bug from that show, not a banana. It's unlikely to be a reference to anything else. 3. Not every freaking plane crash ever is a 9/11 reference jesus christ. It's an unpopulated mountain with a single peak, with the plane clearly crashing down almost vertically. There's nothing that parallels 9/11 other than "plane crash".
