In 2018 I also lived such a blocade in my university in France. It was against a law on education that the government was voting at that time, but it was also about social justice and so one. At this point at didn't know anything about SJWs and all that social stuff, such as Gender/Racism and so one theories. So I went to one of the leaders of the movement and tried to find some way to find an agreement and free our building to study. But in front of me I had a stubborned guy that denied all of my arguments with kiddy arguments like: "No we won't do a vote with a list of the student to sign up, because not all the students have their student card". So I told him that without an identity card you can't vote for your candidate to presidence. It's your job as a responsible person, as an adult, to be aware of it and keep your papers in order. He stil refused without giving me any more argument. He just didn't want us to vote, to have a voice on this decision to blockade the building, that was made by 30 peoples for more than 2000 peoples. Finally the police came in and freed our building. So after this event I wondered a lot. Why were these peoples so unable to be adults and just denied every logical arguments, instead of trying to counter it with logical arguments ? So I interressed myself a lot for these new social trends and I ended up there, watching your videos about Evergreen. And now I understand it way better. This is all about a selfdestructive policy of education. Let me try to explain.
What I saw in your videos is a lot of lessons, conferences, workshops etc. where students are always told that there are two kinds of persons: the privileged oppressors on one side and the oppressed minorities and their "allies" on the other side. As examples the students see white cisgender (I don't even know what that means) peoples confess their "privileges", and peoples of color complain on the way they are oppressed by these priviledged peoples. The direct consequence of that is an anxiety-conducting environment. Peoples of color see potential oppressors or agressors in every white people all around and some white people feel like they are dangerous for others and must confess or apologize not to be socialy excluded.
The consequence of that is what happened: black students complain about their unsafe feeling without any evidence of that (except maybe for the posters part), and are ready to do anything to feel safer. But isn't their feeling of unsafety for a big part in their minds and produced by all the things they see, hear and talk about in this school during the lessons and the conferences ? Let's ask another way: "Are there in this school critical thinking workshops, conferences and so one, near to the social justice conferences, workshops... ? I'm asking that because as a student studiying german langage, literature and history, I had lessons about critical thinking, rhetoric and rhetoric analysis. And according to that, none of my mates in our department ever took part of such a blocade or a social justice fight against the admnistration of our university. Because we don't see any reason to do so. Whereas the peoples who did the blocade in 2018 were students of two teachers talking about social injustice, veganism etc. as a dogma in their lessons. I discovered that later on and i was pretty schocked and upset of how they influenced their students on political purposes. So isn't the problem just how these teachers (even if they are a minority) make SJW out of young peoples and let them trust that they have all rights they want for their fight, even sequester the director and his staff ? And isn't the director highly responsible by always telling them they are right and never setting any limit, any borderline not to cross ? This way to manage the students and to teach seems highly self-destructive.
On top of that university is a nice place to discuss, to find ideas about how to change things, to devellop it's own critical mind, discover new ideas and so one. And i think that was the initial project of Evergreen. But what I saw for the most part, was children (i won't call them adults or students because of their irresponsible behaviour at some points) yelling that everything is going the wrong way, that they feel unsafe... and that this or that person should be fired. But near to that, I never heard a proposal made by a student. It was all like: "what you gonna do ?". If this college had any intention to make equilibrate and responsible adults of these guys, then they should have learned to come with well thought proposals to resolve their issues and they would find some other ways to get heard than cornering or sequestering peoples. And first of all they wouldn't claim to fire peoples without hearing, what they have to say, and without thinking once, that the cook may be in a worse social situation than themselves. It's absolutely not up to students to decide who can be fired and who can stay. And if this isn't a form of oppression to fire anyone, who doesn't agree with you, then I don't know what it is.
I will just conclude with following words: the idea of a progressist university where people can get aware of social and racial problems sounds good to me. But a university should be a place of critical thinking and discussion. And the teachers should be the example of this critical thinking. They shouldn't be activists influencing their students. The university shouldn't be a sect were you become the good thruth of the day in a kanoe workshop, or by asking weird questions about "whitness". That kind of methods will just always lead to some rumble mumble jungle as we saw here in Evergreen and as I experienced in my own university. Thank you for having read so far and sorry if my english failed to be clear (I'm just a french white male after all).
Tu es à quelle université ?
Great assessment, thought many of the same things myself
Bret Weinstein's class was the Critical Thinking class, which I think made the situation worse. Not only were the protests self-destructive and politically influenced by specific teachers, they were targeting and threatening the critical thinking individuals.
Thanks for taking the time to write out your thoughts. You came to the same conclusions I did
One of your points really stood out to me. At no point does anyone offer any solutions. Not a single one. It "do the work" "get on board" "make the change".... At no point have I ever seen an example of what that means
There's a real competition between narcissism and victimhood going on in Jamil's head.
So much self-importance. 🤮
Martyrdom
They stink of pure privilege, but they claim to be fighting against the privilidged.
He just wants his butt pounded. And I'm not being Homophobic, he's been posting naked butt pictures of himself on Twitter. All soapy and everything. I wish I could make this up. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
@@natei6524 But it's us women and girls who get called "bigots"for not wanting guys like Jamil invading spaces, services and sports meant for females. And we're the baddies for not wanting ourselves or our elderly and disabled sisters to be forced into receiving intimate care from males pretending to be female who are lining up to be HHAs and care home workers.
@@brybeats6463 There was a link on his Twitter and I wish I could unsee it. But yeah, if you look exactly like a guy, and you have mental health problems, and don't present yourself as a woman or have any sort of gender dysphoria, then why would you be aloud in women's spaces?. If he at least underwent hormones and surgery I could understand. But yeah, I understand women being frustrated with all of this Non-binary madness.
"Various people have attempted to center themselves & to play victim... This can't go on"
Self-awareness: zero
I seriously wanted to puke when they said free speech doesn't matter
I like how they think that “free speech” was the reason someone gave them a death threat, as if legally stopping him from saying it would stop him from killing people.
But you also must listen to them
FrEe sPeEch iS wHiTe sUpreMacy!!!
I’m pretty sure free speech doesn’t even cover threats so it’s comparing apples to oranges, lol.
They are just so ignorant. How did they get into University?
So Jamil's real issue is that masculine men don't like his selfies..
It’s men **and masculine people.**
@@BenjaminABoyce You need the acuity of a contract lawyer to figure out what these people are really trying to say.
@@thirdpowerful1 These people repeatedly fail to solve "Theory of Mind" problems, a concept most human beings master during their preschool years: www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/socioemotional-success/201707/theory-mind-understanding-others-in-social-world
@@thirdpowerful1 I'd argue that's by design. The social justice lingo is a shibboleth, a way to tell the initiated from the unwashed masses. It's also just a way to dress up unpalatable or stupid ideas so that people shut off their brains and assume you know what you're talking about.
What I find ironic is that being able to understand and talk this social justice vernacular is as much of a sign of social/economic privilege as knowing proper etiquette and ballroom dancing forms would have been a few hundred years ago. The supposed language of oppression is spoken almost exclusively by the overpriveleged.
@@AliRadicali Fascinating analogy! I was recently watching a historical commentary about the social niceties at which people were required to be adept in Elizabethan England, in order to maintain their status -- like proper dancing, diction, dress, and even accent.
The patois of Social Justice is indeed a type of Status Signaling as well as Virtue Signaling; because an awful lot of people are too busy just trying to keep up with food and rent (especially now!) to bother with concepts like "micro-aggressions" or "cisheteronormativity" or to talk with the lilting, up-slanted vocal intonation that's so popular among Social Justice acolytes.
Poor Jamil "I, I, I, me, me, me, I, I, I" He loves talking about himself. Can't figure out if it's just typical teenage narcissism he'll eventually grow out of or is this a permanent character flaw. Because of his self-centered desires I can't determine if he really cares about the "cause" itself or is just looking a cause that benefits him.
Narcissism never goes away.
It just gets worse.
My philosophy always tells me that everyone has a role in Society. From what I've seen so far, we would be a good prison recess entertainer.
Jamil has seemingly created this make-believe world in his head of mobs carrying torches and pitchforks storming around looking to attack him.

Mr. Boyce - as I write this, it's 2.39am here in Edinburgh, Scotland. I'm a bit stoned, and I've had a few beers. This felt like the perfect time to let you know that when I see a new instalment of this series pop up on my feed, I get a genuine "ohhhh, nice one" feeling. It really is a great piece of work as a whole, and utterly compelling. I salute you, sir.
Edinburgh U has experienced its weak and craven Administration. A couple of years ago, three or four students living in a Hall of Residence named David Hume House demanded that it no longer be called that - named after a dead white male, you see, who had apparently said something questionable in a *footnote* in one of his essays - more than 200 years ago. They got their way - who was David Hume, anyway? - and the address of the building is now 44 Something-or-Other Street.

"Safety" has always been a fleeting and illusory concept, Jamil. In fact, your incessant demands to be "protected from harm" would be unthinkable without TREMENDOUS AND UNPRECEDENTED levels of abundance and....dare I say...privilege existing all around you.
Funny thing is that he is already so incredibly safe even to his standards that he has to go out of his way to find microagressions and patrol his public campus to look for trouble. Even after there was the threat of a mass shooter he willingly stay on campus, and still was given protection if anything was to happen. This dude is treated like royalty and is still salty that nothing is perfect.
@@paunaic5460 It's a consequence of fetishized victimhood. Deep down,. he knows that his aristocratic status on campus relies (ironically) on his assumed oppression and marginalization. Thus he seeks out more and more ways not only to validate the royal treatment he's been receiving, but to justify demanding even more of it in the future.

Nolan is my favorite from the whole series, he was great.
Clearly the best episode “it’s like debating a slide flute” and I know I shouldn’t celebrate violence but to know one of these snowflakes got clocked is pretty satisfying lol
When you do violence and impose your will on everyone else to the point where your education is impacted even seeing that small consequence for their atrocious behavior is shaden Freude (sp).
The fact the students accosting Nolan in that first video weren’t immediately put through a process to criminal charges and expel them is everything wrong with evergreen.
The fact that state authorities didn’t come and take over evergreen to restore proper order is a failure of government. Only the shame of facing their criminal actions could make them begin to reconsider.
THE WHEELCHAIR WEIRDO!!!
I love that guy! 🤣
This episode's footage is the worst, most horrendous part of the whole Evergreen story. And that's saying a *lot.*
I can't even wrap my head around this. It's a fight to the top of the victim ladder. It's so gross. Anyone that allows their kids to go here is litterally abusing the next generation
@@MrSuperultramegaguy The guy getting hit, harassed, then harangued to delete the footage just boils my blood every time. That's not how grown-ups handle conflict. They want to wield authority without being responsible for the repercussions. Petty tyrants.

Note to Jamal since I know you're reading this: You have a serious problem and should seek help. Deep down you know you are not healthy. There's a little piece of you that remembers what it's like to be a well-adjusted person.
Man, I forgot how refreshing your interview with based chalkman was!
The key line was, "This institution was built to serve us, correct? That's what we're paying for. So it must serve us, and we must demand it." Here's the crux of the matter: The institution was designed to serve students, which means those who know they have something to learn, and are seeking knowledge. "Students" does not encompass, "I'm here. I paid my tuition. You must do what I say." The very premise of the institution is that the students come in ignorant. A university that lowers itself, catering to ignorance, betrays its mission.
I think a key problem is that universities are admitting lots of students who don't understand any of this. Universities, themselves, have corrupted their mission, seeing it as just a business. Their business is to lead the people they admit to think they're advancing their prospects, extract four years of fees from them, and those who meet a criteria, somewhere between the academics' conceits (that their mission is social change) and that of the students' (that a degree will guarantee them a future), get a degree at the end of it. In that environment, the demands of the ignorant must get a hearing, or else, so the thinking goes, the business will fail. It's just a transaction, whatever will satisfy people's desires. Standards of knowledge are told to take a hike.
Jamil is entitled AF

Surely this is the year the ring leaders graduate.
As a matter of fact, the Evergreen Class of 2020 has to be the most cursed of the college's history. Their freshman year ended with this fiasco-and their senior year was moved fully online due to the corona. They aren't even allowed to walk for graduation-as commencement is going virtual. The Bridges Administration, in their magnanimousness, has offered the class to return and walk next year, if they wish.
@@BenjaminABoyce I wouldn't be surprised if he offered that so it would beef up the numbers at commencement next year to give a false appearance of success during what will probably be his final official function (at least publically) as the President of TESC.
Wow yes, I never even thought about that! Having never graduated from anything (except getting my GED) I'm not very cognizant about what it means to walk up and get your diploma; but I can imagine it would be a really meaningful feeling.
I'm sad for all the dedicated 2020 students who weren't even a part of the protests and who were just working really hard, amidst all the chaos, to graduate this year. That's the challenging thing about it, many comments on these videos have indicated the kids were coddled and spoiled as children. Ostensibly maybe. In reality they likey had extremely challenging childhoods plagued with emotional neglect, verbal abuse, maybe worse.
@@kw6713a no, not likely. the overwhelming majority of the student body, and everyone actively orchestrating the hostile takeover, are the top 0.01% of privileged people in this world, who never had to do any work, or anything for themselves, or ever hear something they didn't like. and when they got one step outside into the real world, they were completely shattered. people who experienced tough realities of life were people like the chinese girl who rejected the protests because they blatantly were the agent of violent oppression. the lack of self awareness from the useful idiots indicates they had never experienced genuine terror and violence at the hands of others before, otherwise they could not ignore the reality of what they were doing so. they clearly hadn't ever met any type of resistance to anything before. it's obvious throughout that they had no chance of orchestrating a hostage situation without actual stooges for hostages. this was a workplace politics ploy incited by the groomer in the staff who steadfastly engineered their own personal attack dogs, then let them loose on the coworker who was presenting a professional barrier. we got a critical thinker identifying, calling out, and resisting the authoritarian left formation, so we got to take him out. who do you think started the dissemination of the email on campus? i guarantee you the teacher who professes her function is to radicalize students. she employed her trained marxism and utilized her useful idiots and picked the most convenient target for destabilization which turned her students into a literal army to strongarm the teacher's union into expanding the DEI industrial complex and highway rob negotiations to include bloated cream everywhere.

Have you ever tried to interview or get the side of people like Jamil or that lovely, well-adjusted person in the wheel chair? What say you?
I doubt Ben has the patience for that. I doubt a human being alive has the patience for that.
Most good journalists do this, and I would give him the benefit of the doubt that he tried to, but judging by how these people wouldn’t let their “opponents” speak whenever they confronted them, and considering they wouldn’t talk to the police to give their version of events, I’m guessing they declined (or simply didn’t respond) to his attempts of getting their side of the story.
This is what happens when ignorance and delusions are encouraged instead of corrected, and being a victim becomes a goal.
In military parlance, "Direct Action" refers to active engagement with the enemy; activities like raids, ambushes, precision strikes etc. Probably not coincidental.
just a single incident, they are actually speaking in military parlance. this is a marxist trained militia. all these groups demonstrate many trademark evolution of warfare tactics. their methods are ruthlessly pragmatic and some have roots as old as Sun Tsu, like the formlessness of insisting there is no definition of wokeness. they employ all sorts of combat and information warfare practices, like inciting reactions to validate (to those not paying enough attention) their deliberately empty complaints and demands. they know that productive discourse needs to be stamped out instantly, because the destabilization itself is the actual goal to maintain; the perpetual struggle. you can't sell reform to peaceful and comfortable people. they operate exactly like any ruthless military force would today. and this term is the jihad of their religious movement. direct action, precisely as you defined it, is considered the archetype of praxis.
@@TheJacklikesvideos "the destabilization itself is the actual goal" Yes, exactly. And as James Lindsay points out, they are useful idiots because when revolutions succeed the destabilizers are no longer wanted and must be put out to pasture along with the rest of the rabble.

I remember one day when all my friends on social media started sharing these firsthand accounts of tweets, facebook posts, etc, of a community college where a "white supremacist" was driving on campus and blocking all the black people inside class. This seemed so hysterical at the time, I could not believe it actually happened. I was like, uh, wow, surely there are news articles about this event right?, this is like some vtech shit. But there wasn't. I kept looking and found no sources about a white supremacist shooter on a college campus. And all my friends went silent about it the next day, like, they never paid any attention to the posts at all and just shared them just to be a good samaritan, while they never think about it ever again. And now I'm finally piecing together that this is the school where it happened.
I would have been assaulted so many times on that campus, I just wouldn't be able to hold back immense laughter every time someone said something as stupid a "your free speech doesn't matter." The person in the motor chair is like Madam DeFarge in Tale of Two Cities.
Notice how he seemlessly transitions between the stupid but follow-able logic of "I pay tuition; I should be getting everything I want," to "every person in the world has to agree with ME because that's what I want!"
Jamil's AUTOGYNOPHELIA is at an all time high!
He’s a bit too gay to be classic AGP
That finger snapping is deafening.
This was my favourite episode yet. You could keep going and going, dissecting this and reporting on the evolving story.
Jamil reminds me of a villain from an anime.
0:42 The good news is, the group with bats probably had no stamina- no legs or lungs. 😉
In the first minute thirty seconds it seems like a Spinal Tap style parody of progressive millennials.
I thought it was a parody. Untile wheelchair guy came thru and said F U.
It’s pretty alarming how quickly shit can hit the fan. Snitching neighbors, snitching students
jamil just said at the end that they feel invalid like they're just a pawn in the revolution of people who won't like their selfies. bruh you literally orchestrated the hostage taking. this is your crusade to get the world to say you're pretty. holy cow
The Limp Bizkit memer is such a breath of fresh air within this series! 😂
Those first seconds were pure unexpected comedy gold!!
That guy was very funny and likeable. MLBGA!
This guy Jamil is a PIECE OF WORK 😂😂😂
very tragic. i rate this 9/10 on my anime rating list as my top 5th anime
Need that full nolan interview now!!!

@@BenjaminABoyce Fuck yeah... Thank you Ben!
At the very end, when Jamil is talking about people playing the victim, Benjamin's profile picture comes up in the lower right hand corner. That sassy grin on Benjamin's face as Jamil is talking his garbage made me giggle!
Chalk Guy is my new hero.
_"You just turned this into a pus-bucket in the middle of the woods"_
Love it.
*Edit:* _"Green Day fans, amirite?"_
Another classic.
Hi Benjamin
Not only was Chalkguy your twin, he was right.
It seems the college infantilised their students patting them on their sensitive young backs for outrageous behaviour.
Isn't a pat on the back now considered a micro-aggression ;)
