maninthebox0 when I was little my first piano song that I learned was Jurassic Park. And I still know it today. Then I learned Star Wars shortly after that.
I can't hear this and not instantly just get overwhelmed by the brilliance of it. Jurassic Park and Jaws defined my childhood. John Williams is a God amongst men.
Jessica it really takes me to simpler times. That very sequence brings tears to my eyes. This music really evoques discovery, the neverending curiosity of human being expressed through science. I'm getting a tad emotional, lol.
Well if we had to pick, probably Steven Spielberg is the reason Steven Spielberg is incredible. It's like John Williams listens to Stevens heart and conducts the sound the beat is making. Good MOVIES, MUSIC and STORIES..
If it weren't for John Williams scoring Jaws, Steven Spielberg probably wouldn't be the powerhouse he is today and Star Wars would have only been one movie. The movies wouldn't have felt the same and wouldn't have worked without those scores.
+VROOOM All the production companies are going for cheaper and simple to produce. In addition to that people aren't interested in complex movies anymore- complex movies being well fleshed-out plot or soundtrack. It's become less about being artistic and more about just making money.
+VROOOM it happens absolutely with ever human activity that can be marketable. Music turned into industry when producers who had nothing to do with music itself became the owners, happened with films and it's happening now with videogames.

It's amazing how fitting this is for Jurassic Park. There's so much calm to it. It almost helps you imagine what Jurassic Park would've been like if it succeeded in the movie.
Welcome to Jurassic Park! When the strings come in at 0:44 I get chills and it makes me weepy for some reason. The genius of this man and how his music evokes emotion is very powerful.
Same. That bit of music brings me right back to watching Jurassic Park in theatres for the first time in May of '93. I will probably never have another movie experience like that ever again.
Strictly speaking its NOT a song (a song is SUNG), but "song" has become the universal word for any piece of music these days. So there's not much point swimming against THAT tide....

My girlfriend and I run an animal shelter called "Jurassic Bark" - we have a jeep like the one from the movie, full of life-saving veterinary equipment. :D

There is a certain touch of magic in music like this. There aren't many composers who accomplish that, but those who do touch your heart in the most beautiful way imaginable.
How cute! You guys are in middle school band! Stick with music guys! Music is one of the most wonderful things you could ever learn. I stopped at 8th grade and missed out on an amazing musical career in high school. I think peer pressure played a part in it. Band was always known for the "band geeks" and nerd but seriously who cares! Enjoy the music and enjoy high school :) playing a musical instrument is just amazing! I played the flute :)
Ok, i just ask this question by curiosity, it's not a judgement, you like both. Are you aware, that Mr Zimmer killed the film music, in the way Mr Williams does, and to be more general, killed the film music "industry" ? (that's why we don't hear anymore any film music in the style of jurassic park above except when it's done by Mr Williams himself)
Is it your way to tell to your future wife that she's a Disonaur ? :D lol . not sure it is the best tune for that :) ahah (sorry, the joke was too easy :D ).
From Star Wars, to E.T., to Close Encounters of the Third Kind, to Jurassic Park, to Indiana Jones,....I can go on and on....John Williams, you live in out hearts!

alex perez or in Jurassic World. I know, it's just "Welcome to JURASSIC WORLD" but the kids are the same :'3 in the first movie there were Lex and Tim and in JW Zach and Gray :D I love it, that they used the same T-Rex or they were in Isla Nublar and not at Isla Sorna :D
itsjayn Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Howard Shore, Danny Elfman,Alan Silvestri, the recently deceased James Horner, the late Jerry Goldsmith, the late Michael Kamen. All of them have given us great film scores but none like John Williams.
itsjayn Hans doesn't write most of his music, he has a stable of composers writing on each film, plus, he can't write a memorable theme, let alone 3 or 4 in each movie....
Wael Binali it's not really true. in his early works, in the 80's , he wrote some of the most classic 80's theme ! Rain Man ... and as well, less known, Driving miss daisy, regarding henry, point of no return, green card etc ... but it was a long time ago, when Hans was writing something instead of using slaves lol :)
I owe this man so much, he scored my childhood and added so much to my film going experience. It was down to him that I really saw the talent of film score composers and what a thankless task it can be. What an amazing man.
same dude, this movie, played a lot of things in my childhood ,I used to mimic the dinos, and that music always excited when I used to hear it and it still does it
Star Wars, Superman, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Indiana Jones, E.T., Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan. Just to name a few of the movies he wrote/conducted scores for.
With Steven Spielberg Directing, Stan Winston doing the Effects and John Williams doing the score, how could Jurassic Park not have been a masterpiece?
Thanks for the upload, martyprod2!! This piece gets my emotions every time. I feel 12 years old again, watching Dr. Grant, Dr. Sattler, and Dr. Malcolm visit Isla Nublar for the first time. There's only one piece of music that takes me back to childhood more so than this, a theme also composed by John Williams, that will always carry me back to a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....
I really wonder..... I'm still young and this movie is nostalgia to me.....I liked the movies so much.Steven Speilberg is the best.(if I pronounced it wrong,I'm sorry and pls no grammar nazis)
Simply, without any doubt in my mind, the most incredibly, gifted and the BEST conductor and musical collaboration ever known ..thank you Mr. Williams for sharing your wonderful, touched by God, gift of music with us..
French Horn giving me chills.. I love the poise and attire.. Very sophisticated.. A true harmonic silhouette.. It reminds me to do things I love & never give up next goal is right around the corner..
The best part about all John Williams music is that you can whistle it and instantly feel a little bit of the nostalgia, go back and listen to it here and suddenly be caught in the pure awesomeness of the composition! This is the kind of music that will go down in history!
Hands up who saw Jurassic Park on its opening day at the cinema in 1993? The film absolutely blew me away and I watched it about 4 or 5 more times that summer on the big screen. It was off the chain! God bless John Williams
it was not on the opening day, as the last time i have been to an opening day for a movie (Batman 1 from Tim Burton), i almost passed away, lol... Big_Wes yes, but nothing and I mean nothing beats the Original Jurassic Park.
@@ingeninternationalgenetict7066 oh i absolutely agree on that, don't get me wrong.
PS, y'all might wanna fire Nedry before he goes rogue. You'll thank me later ;)
This song never gets old
There is a certain touch of magic in music like this. There aren't many composers who accomplish that, but those who do touch your heart in the most beautiful way imaginable.
This made me cry. It's so beautiful. If I ever get the pleasure to preform this piece I would die.
Lol it is fun on sax when we all do the melody by ourselves.
I play this piece with my band at school
arisia banks so is my school
My 8th grade band does it too I play cello and piano how about you?
The greatest film composer alive

The legendary John Williams the Mozart of our time!
World is blessed to have John Williams and Hans Zimmer :-)
... I hope this is a sarcasm of a half line joke !!
No it was sincere, I enjoy their music imminsely.
Charles Cates
And Patrick Doyle
what do you mean?
Thinking of putting this as the wedding entrance of the bride in my wedding. What do you guys think?
Is it your way to tell to your future wife that she's a Disonaur ? :D lol . not sure it is the best tune for that :) ahah (sorry, the joke was too easy :D ).
Use “he sleeps”
XD
MY SIDES torn apart by TREX

From Star Wars, to E.T., to Close Encounters of the Third Kind, to Jurassic Park, to Indiana Jones,....I can go on and on....John Williams, you live in out hearts!
Doesn’t matter how bad my day is going... I listen to this and it instantly makes me smile
Lets smile again!
If you listen to this and DON'T get chills at 5:01, there's just no way you can possibly be human.
Everyone is human no matter what.
Nope dont got chills but still human :D
doggyipatch Man, I'm striking out on the "human" comment! I rescind...I rescind!!
that was easy
My god, at 2:07 i couldn't help but cry 😕
I miss being a kid...
Thank you John Williams for making my childhood the best!
And thank you Marty for uploading this video 😃
alex perez Thank you ! Your'e welcome :)
alex perez I have goosebumps, because it´s so amazing! "Dear Dr. Grant, Dr. Sattler. Welcome, to JURASSIC PARK!"
But yeah, I´m crying a little bit too :D Me, as a 2000 Child ;,)
***** 😃 you're the man Marty
Zeronik HaDä that part always gets me bro!
Gotta go back haha
alex perez or in Jurassic World. I know, it's just "Welcome to JURASSIC WORLD" but the kids are the same :'3 in the first movie there were Lex and Tim and in JW Zach and Gray :D I love it, that they used the same T-Rex or they were in Isla Nublar and not at Isla Sorna :D
John Williams will always make the best movie soundtracks ever!!!!
Happy 25th anniversary!!!!!
This music is so intense and happy, that I will never forgot
John Williams- Best composer alive, period.
Amen Bro!
What about Hans Zimmer?
itsjayn Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Howard Shore, Danny Elfman,Alan Silvestri, the recently deceased James Horner, the late Jerry Goldsmith, the late Michael Kamen.
Rain Man ... and as well, less known, Driving miss daisy, regarding henry, point of no return, green card etc ... but it was a long time ago, when Hans was writing something instead of using slaves lol :)
favorite movie theme.
Mine's the Imperial March
swimmer8585 truuue same!
I like the flying theme from E.T. The Extra Terrestrial the best!
saaaaaaameeeee!! its my favorite movie music ^_^
My favorite movie theme is the one done by John Williams. Must I choose one?
Goosebumps, remember my childhood. Where great movies are for family
@ Bluenose352 Well, pretty much every Spielberg film.
NorthGaReptile You're Welcome :)
I really wonder..... I'm still young and this movie is nostalgia to me.....I liked the movies so much.Steven Speilberg is the best.(if I pronounced it wrong,I'm sorry and pls no grammar nazis)
I forget all the hardships of life when Iisten to this. Goosebumps
Simply, without any doubt in my mind, the most incredibly, gifted and the BEST conductor and musical collaboration ever known ..thank you Mr. Williams for sharing your wonderful, touched by God, gift of music with us..
This should be the official Earth Day theme.
So many goosebumps
I LOVE this music. My all time favourite. John Williams is a musical genius. 😊
French Horn giving me chills..
I love the poise and attire..
Very sophisticated..
A true harmonic silhouette..
It reminds me to do things I love & never give up next goal is right around the corner..
John Williams is awesome
agreed
The best part about all John Williams music is that you can whistle it and instantly feel a little bit of the nostalgia, go back and listen to it here and suddenly be caught in the pure awesomeness of the composition! This is the kind of music that will go down in history!
Thanks for this wonderful song track it was my great childhood memory.
One of the most brilliant composition ever .
this makes me emotional , music is just another language its so incredible that we do these things and dont know why, we just feel them in our soul's.
Holy fucking shit, it's a dinosaur!
jesus christ what the fuuuuck?
you just made me remember that!
Media : how much epic you want this to be?
John Williams: yes
"Welcome to Jurassic Park!"- John Hammond
Love it already😍😍😍😍
Hands up who saw Jurassic Park on its opening day at the cinema in 1993? The film absolutely blew me away and I watched it about 4 or 5 more times that summer on the big screen. It was off the chain! God bless John Williams
it was not on the opening day, as the last time i have been to an opening day for a movie (Batman 1 from Tim Burton), i almost passed away, lol... (f** s** audience... who rushed in the entrance, someone could have died that day (the press , tv was there etc...) but saw JP 2 days later after the opening day.
The Jurassic World trailer brought me back to this. :') Aah; nostalgia.
Exactly, me too.
haha me too . its like a flashback
