Hi Rishi... I could tell after awhile you were an anaesthetist. So am I . I have been fascinated with ultrasound , and it’s application in our speciality ever since these portable devices started to appear. I bought my own m turbo Sonosite machine in 2007 . Prior to ultrasound my nerve blocks were pretty good but ultra sound revolutionised that . My success rate is , I don’t even bother measuring , it’s pretty close to 100 %. . It still fascinates me .. cardiac , neuraxial , vascular ...etc . US has improved my level of care . Sadly my M turbo has reached the end of its life span . ...... I am considering a butterfly IQ system ... it looks amazing . I really like the portability . My m turbo cardiac was excellent , but the portability of this is , in a practical sense very appealing... I could see myself using more often.. to eyeball and assess . ... a screening cardiac tool . Great video thanks Jeremy Ozzie anaesthetist.
I’ve been wanting this probe for so long but the color Doppler is such bad quality what is it really diagnosing? I wish it had pw/ cw. That’s a real deal breaker for me unfortunately
thank you for the review, totally agree on how it can be useful on the go, for quick look or for educational purposes 👍 But it is not a alternative for ultrasound machine , I still want one 😃 The problems I see would be poor ergonomics (now you have to hold two things), no PW, no TGC, no keyboard for for annotations, no way to evaluate PSV or any velocity, and many other factors that important for complete diagnostic imaging. Try to do augmentation with that thing even if they develop PW mode, hold the device and probe and use your third arm to squeeze 💪😂 oh, wait we only have two arms🤔🤔🤔 But for quick look up or ultrasound on the go it would be fun 😀👍 Thank you for demonstration I probably buy one
I want to know if this device can help locating some possible block in the carotted artery to the brain. MRI is ruled out as my defibrillator is not MRI friendly. Also I will be the USA this month end I want to know of any practicing doctors for this device. I live in Maryland USA
Nice. Can you tell me how is it compare to Philips Lumify Ultrasound? The butterfly iQ definitely has better price, but I am a little bit concern about the quality of the image
is it water/ chlorhexidine/ alcohol proof//? how to clean the probe in between the patient? how delicate the probe is? because in the hospital setting in a crisis situation, the probe might fall down so are there any results of the drop test?
Any recent updates on the Butterfly iQ? Can it do MMode measurements and derived measurements for children and infants?
Where to buy and how in india? Please reply

Thank you!
Have you used it for peripheral nerve blocks? The probe looks larger/wider than most linear probes. Do you feel like that affects the utility at all?

Hi Rishi, is it true that it isn't possible to use an adapter from USB-C to Lightning to be able to use an Iphone or old Ipad mini 2/3? Thanks
Unfortunately no! Those adapters don't have the necessary data thoughput.
Hi USB c is an option? With what cabel does it come
Lightning cable by default, but they do sell a USB C version (that's what I have).
Can it be used in medicolegal procedures?
I use it primarily for teaching and to escalate a workup.
What's the price sir and is it available in India ( Pcpndt act?)

Do u think we'll be able to ship it to India? Pls respond
Not sure when the company plans on shipping to India.
@@RKMD thank you... Well if u here something please do let me know
So, now that you've had this for sometime - are there any updates as to wether PW or CW will be enabled on this tool?
Haven't heard anything.
@@RKMD Okay, thank you, sir...
Hmm, no continuous wave doppler?
Nope!
Thanks
Nice
What about the lungs?
Nice. Can you tell me how is it compare to Philips Lumify Ultrasound? The butterfly iQ definitely has better price, but I am a little bit concern about the quality of the image
I haven't used the Lumify!
that is insane! I want one.
It's awesome! 👍
Nice (and cool website) when googled you. But the manufacturer has no return policy. That's concerning no?
Thanks so much! Yeah it is, but I haven't heard any complaints thus far!

I usually cover it in a sterile probe cover but clean it with a chlorhexidine wipe in between patients for bedside diagnostics.
@@RKMD thanks Rishi, any idea about the drop test/ your experience
sorry but color doppler seems horrible
No need to say sorry, lol. First generation of a product... room to improve!
