    Just bought a house that is atop a very steep hill. The back yard is flat, but small, so the majority of our yard is the steep hill in front. What you are doing is what we plan to do as well. A sitting area, and then garden areas. It is good to see that my ideas for the hill are actually possible to achieve. Though, I have a feeling my final product will not look as nice. I am not a professional in any way lol.

    Lol the thumbnail terrace was tiny. This video content is orders of magnitude larger. Nice work thougu,. Yall did all the digging by shovel?

      The triple terrace cost about $15,000

    do you have to terrace bottom up? we have a friend with a tractor! :)

      Yes you should in order to stabilize the bottom. That's how we did it in the video.

    Does this terracing required any city permits if you are not going more than 3 feet? thank you!

      In the city of San Diego, any retaining wall that is not over 3 feet does not require a permit.
