    Looks great and I like the dirt locker idea. I actually cut the back side off of my pots and planted the rosemary pot and all on my hill. It has been doing great for 5 years. I hope you haven't had a problem like I had. I had to tear out all my drip hose because It is too difficult to maintain on my steep hill. The Rabbits and squirrels kept biting holes in my drip hose!

    I just set up my dirt lockers and before I start tossing plants in I want to get irrigation. You just go through row by row and it gets everything evenly?

    • @GardenloveHomestead
      @GardenloveHomestead  2 года назад

      Sorry for the delay response. We added a drip system throughout the Dirt-Locker. We use the little openings on the sides and feed it through.

    How many dirt lockers was used for this project? Just curious thanks

  • @chunhchan
    @chunhchan 3 месяца назад

    I installed these they are just okay. The dirt goes out the bottom of the unit. Also I feel like you need to stake down more than the top row. The dirt locker are not cheap either, I think treated wood would be better.

    What is the life expectancy for the dirt lockers especially under uv ?

    How long is the guarantee on the life of the plastic when exposed to sun and weather? The architectural look is cool. Do you leave some lockers free as steps?

    • @dirtlocker
      @dirtlocker 3 года назад +2

      Hello, this is Mark from Dirt Locker, apologies for not responding sooner, but product has 10 year UV inhibitor, but we have our original product that has been out there for more than 10 years. Also, the more it is protected from the sun such as from plant foliage, the longer it will last.

      How long did it take for you to receive your invoice? I spoke to Mark twice and each time he promised in a half hour he would send it to my email.
      I know you do not represent Dirt Locker. I just wondered how your order went. It is such a innovative product.

      Thanks. I called back and was able to place my order. I am having trees removed which will provide more sun. I have a small area in front of my home that will offer a little more curb appeal. I cannot wait to get started.
      Looking forward to see the results of your n massive project.

    The dirt locker seems to take away from landscape design concepts but if you don’t care how it looks and have a steep slope, it seems to address that issue. For me, it’s not organic enough!
