    This is a really, really well thought out & designed product. Months ago, I stumbled upon this simply by chance, watched all the video transformations & was really impressed. At the time, I really didn’t have an area needing it but I was a fan & told some friends about it. Well I recently put in a large greenhouse and had to build up a 4’ slope for a level foundation area for it, making for a perfect area to support this great product idea and add 20 new additional planting garden spots. Excited & awaiting the FedEx delivery today!

      @@trishferrer8209 I ended up not ordering. My project was delayed because I re-stuccoed my whole house and the scaffolding would have ruined the landscaping. When it came time to order dirt lockers, it was cost prohibitive for me. My project would have required 150 senior pieces and the shipping alone on it was $125. Sales tax was $140. All in, it was over $1,700 and I can’t justify it in the area I wanted to install it. Truth is, I think it’s an ingenious design and I can’t find anything anywhere close to it on the market. I should have snapped them up when they were available for pick up in Santa Clarita. Now they ship out of the Midwest.

    This looks amazing. I have a very steep slope starting at the edge of our front yard. No one wants to weed-eat this, because it's hard to stand up on it. It looks horrendous, most of the time, but I finally found someone to whack it down, which will grow back w/in 2 weeks. I enjoyed this video thoroughly. However, I have spine and knee problems preventing me from bending, squatting, or getting down on my knees in any form or fashion. I suppose we would measure the area, then order, and when it comes in, have a professional landscaping company install it. Also... lol ...we have no sidewalk, like in the video. That looks super convenient, but we live off-grid in the country, so the drop-off goes straight down to a country road that is pretty skinny. We also have a significant amount of traffic, because our little country road is a 6-mile thoroughfare from Hwy 64 to a few side streets, and apparently it's the only way in or out.

    • @dirtlocker
      @dirtlocker  3 года назад

      Glad you enjoyed the video. We will do what we can to confirm this is the right solution for you. Similar issues with my hillside, it was either dead or growing invasive weeds that had to be cut back to reduce horrible appearance. If you or someone can determine the dimensions Length and Width, as well as the angle of the slope, we can look at what options are available.

      Holy cow Trish your area sounds like it is beautiful! I would love to live off grid but I need the Internet to work. Also I feel your pain as far as back pain and knee pain I am also getting ready for my second hip replacement so it makes working around the yard rather hard. To prevent me from slipping down the steep hills I have heavy work boots where I have attached ice cleats to them. These cleats are the metal cleats in about a half an inch spike on the bottom so I don’t slide down the hill like I used to with regular boots! Good luck on your endeavor!

    Such a great invention. I have a question: our hills are just slightly too steep to mow, but we get so many weeds that we need to use string trimmers as well as push mowers. With a Dirt Locker system, how do you control weeds? I'm afraid to use landscape fabric because we've had bad experiences with it in the past. Could you build the Dirt Lockers over cardboard sheet mulch?
    What is the displacement for each cell? 2-3 sq yards?

    • @dirtlocker
      @dirtlocker  6 месяцев назад

      You can utilizing the wet cardboard method with Dirt Lockers. Large and Medium Dirt Lockers can be cover 2-3 feet of slope width, giving them a depth range of 20"-16". This will depend on your slope angle. Visit our step 1 of our installation page for reference, view the green chart.

They even with stood the torrential down pour‘s of the last hurricane Ida which swept through the north east dumping 8 inches of water in about an hour and a half and my Dirt Lockers were fine. I also ordered the senior Dirt Lockers because they Are better for a steeper hill. One area on my hill falls 2’9” and a 4 foot span so it is pretty steep.
