I have been dreaming for years and it finally came. I had NO idea that I would be falling in LOVE with muscle. I just bought a 2011 v6 Camaro with 37k miles on it and you read that right. I have excellent credit and limit, so thus, my journey begins. I practically have NO idea what I am doing, hence why I am here.

Sy White was 6500 but the guy said he was waiting on parts to complete the kit but then just stopped emailing me and my performance shop. So looking for another company that makes the kit currently!

@@dilrajgill1279 no ! will at overkill never responds to emails. I went through a performance shop as well and they couldnt get ahold of him either. He responds like 1 time and then you never hear from him.

I really want to install the overkill supercharger kit on my 2017 v6 convertible Camaro. I know it’s heavier but but I just figure it will help with the tire grip.

What's the measurements and manufacturer's for that front splitter, I have the same front bumper?
I like the sound on the custom chevy looking van exhaust leak, did you get the v6 honda or ford? so it will break down in no time and put a v8 in it?
I can definitely respect that Camaro man, I had a V6 Mustang and there is something cool about taking the V6 car and making it faster than the v8 car from the factory, in my opinion. I think the other thing is with the V6 cars the mustang, and the Camaro you can supercharge the six shooters, and have a power band that's great for the street where you have a lot of low end torque, even more than you would have in a bolt on v8 car, so you have a stoplight to stop light monster, that has a good amount of top end power, but because you are still a V6 car you have a lot less weight in the front end of your car, so that makes it still a pretty good handling car if set up with quality suspension set up for your platform also keep it in mind your application can I do autocross or if it's a street car Etc and while I will always love a V8 exhaust note having that supercharged V6 is a real unique sound and your V6 cars are also typically the more Plain Jane looking, so you can have a sleeper aspect to it kind of not so much on your build but you know if you just have a regular RS Camaro that you throw a pro charger on, don't really mess too much with the exhaust and people really aren't going to know that's probably going to be what faster than a stock SS but maybe not quite to what a full bolt on SS would do?

Hey guys let me know what you think about the HP gains with the supercharger.. Also this is my opinion based on my experience driving a completely stock NA “ no custom tune or mods “ Bolt ons “ on a V8 “ at the dealership where it is definitely not a slow car but i certainly felt the lag compared to a centrifugal supercharger on my car that i drive which also still has a tad bit lag which is normal. the only time i have never felt lag is when i spray the NOS even when my camaro was not boosted. it was instant soon as i floor it and it activates.

In Europe specially in Slovakia with 5mil. people in whole country it's hard to get even camaro :D I've got small plan to get BMW E46 3.0l inline 6 and later turbocharge it. The engine is really strong and i saw ppl which had 670hp but tho the engine is tuned like crazy to hold turbo like this (85mm)

how many hours you can drive with a fully tank in your car before it needs gas ?
What kind of supercharger are you using? I have the Eaton 1.7L roots style sold by Edelbrock, if you have a blow off valve, yours must be centrifugal? I've got the LGX V6, and on 8psi and a very conservative tune I'm at 460(lowballing), with no other mods.
If I did a cam and lifters, E85, and a full exhaust, I could shoot up to 425WHP(540~ crank) no problem. If I want to go past that I need to look at the pistons, rods, and crank.
Exactly and now you see why you should have gotten a v8 or zl1 and did the work to those now you gonna spend more money than if you actually had a v8
Hey bro I need some tips on a base tune for my 6th gen v6 camaro. I’m not finding much info on it and I bought an hp tuners kit and have a laptop but idk what I’m really looking at. I removed the governor so far but I want to remove the rev limiter and get some more hp out of the car. How would I go about doing that without going to a pro tuner cause I know they charge a lot and I want to learn how to do it myself. Thank you
These are not easy to tune as so much is different from the typical V8. WIll from Overkill is the best tuner out there period. He can provide the tune for you for HP Tuners via email, or we can as well.

Do you have to change any parts in the car before supercharging it to avoid it from breaking? I have a 2017 Camaro RS (v6) and Im thinking of buying the Edelbrock Supercharger, which adds around 100 extra hp to the stock 335 hp. I would really appreciate any help, I’m new to this.
imo this supercharger is better. get the stage 2 and start there. you will need the ZL1 fuel pump also which they sell for the kit and possibly upgrading the rear end to a SS rear and so it can hold up the power. should get to about 440-450hp on stage 2 to the crank. but it’s up to you.

I would love to have my 15 v6 camaro supercharge. Hell we have the same engine with my mods I set around mid 400. Right now 8500 for the supercharge will be hard on the pockets but in do time. Right now for me will be air ride is my next goal.

How much did you pay for your supercharge. Been thinking about getting a supper charge or cold air intake. Didn’t know yet
just a cold air intake is way cheaper than a supercharger, keep in mind a CAI will not give you anywhere near the HP a supercharger will. if you get a CAI those cost about $500 and maybe gain 15-20hp depending on the car, if you get a supercharger, that cost me $8,000 installed with a dyno tune but i personally gained almost 200hp more with the supercharger. went from 323hp stock to 511hp

What do you suggest for a full build from exhaust to nos....
OPINIONATED FACTZ on culture instead of the NOS i would recommend boosting the car tbh. especially if it’s a V6. you want the boost to be adjusted to a comfortable amount where the motor will last. don’t get me wrong, even a car with 7lbs og boost could blow by beating on the car but it’s more safer than 20lbs of boost where you barely step on it. i’m not saying 7lbs allows you to keep stepping on it but if it’s here and there when needed and to do some pilla then that should be safe. when you get forged internals that’s even better for the motor overall.

Good stuff but I think it would be cheaper and easier on the engine to buy an SS and throw a cam and a few bolt ons on it and get the same power N/A. Gets rid of the lag and you don’t have a supercharger leaching the life out of your engine.
Buy an SS Camaro or engine swap it with a v8? Im a bit confused lol. I think that either option would be too expensive for some people. I mean people buy the V6 because the SS is way too expensive. Maybe if you buy a used one off the street for less than 20k would work? Not sure

I also meant that in his case specifically, all the money he spent on his v6 he could have bought an SS and did mods to it that would produce more power and be easier on the engine at the same time. @@charmamillion a supercharger will automatically make you faster than a v8
@@masteroffire5793 no it will not, not on that stock block, most you could probably run is about 6lbs of boost on the stock block, just putting the supercharger on, you'll need cams, lifters, port and polish the heads/rod work, then you'll need injectors, a fuel pump, and I think the shorty headers are welded onto the v6 so you can't get longtube headers, then you'll need a gas tune, and probably a colder plug to even get in the ss power band, so tell me after all of that is it worth it to just to be just as fast as a v8 in a v6? Oh btw with a few add-ons, and a nice tune on the v8, it'll be over. There more to this than just putting a supercharger on a high comp stock v6 block.

How did you negotiate with insurance on not totalling your car
Johnathan Lurry i had no frame damage and they covered the repairs. the owner of the shop had the costs workout with the insurance to help me do the repairs alone and i later had to put all the aftermarket stuff.

thx man, actually i’ve hurt a lot of V8 guys feelings in this. 2018 SS, 2020 Scatpack chargers, 5th gen SS, 2019 10spd mustang GT.. list goes on.. it’s not the fastest car but i definitely pull hard. i also own a 2018 ZL1 10spd auto in case i need to take off the car cover and bring him out. 👊
