Beautifully worded, especially that final point, no adaptation can be good if the people behind it don't love the thing they are trying to adapt. Also, I fucking love Yuki Hayashi and Asami Tachibana music for Haikyu! It trully is some of the most energetic and goosebumps inducing music I've ever heard, it makes you want to go out and get into Volleyball and I've used it plenty of times to motivate and encourage myself while doing things! Truly Haikyuu is one of a kind and my favorite anime and manga of all time! Excellent video, wish it didn't take me 3 years to find the video lol

Fox, I have delayed watching this video for over a month because I had never heard of this and was like, "Volleyball anime!? I love volleyball and sports anime! I have to watch this first." I will politely have to disagree about season 4 being anywhere near the quality of the first 3, but it was so much fun just watching someone gush about the beautiful adaptation of this series! I do hear people talking about the animation a fair amount, but the pacing, cinematography, and music don't seem to come up half as much as they should. Nice hearing you break such things down and really put into words what exactly is so special about Haikyuu (not even counting the fun and engaging characters)!

This is my favorite anime and a huge part of it is the soundtrack. I'm glad you talk about that in this video since I feel it is under appreciated and isn't talked about as much as it should be. The song battle of concepts is so well fit to the scene it plays in that all the beats of the scene are baked into my brain and I watch the entire scene in my head and remember what all the characters are saying and doing when I listen to it. When ever I listen to almost any track I can pick out the exact scenes they were used in. I think this anime is super good because it as a focused attention to detail that is matched by no other anime.
I would watch 20 minutes of pointing out cool cinematography things

I hated what they did with the grimgar anime adaption. One of the reasons I liked the light novel was because of the way the main character looked and acted where as in the anime they turned him into a fucking teeny bopper.
Ping pong the animation is really enjoyable to watch I loved it

I can't really watch all this 'cuz of the spoiler warning, but I'm on the newest season and is it me, or does the new animation style just not capture what made the first season so good? It's GOOD, but the spikes/hits feel like it has SIGNIFICANTLY less impact compared to the original animation... Also BRING BACK THE COMMERCIAL CLIPS OF THEM PRACTICING!

@@Foxcade Wait does it cover all of season 4? 'Cuz I'm not even caught up with that. I seen less than 10 eps, and I saw the Nekoma vs Fukurodani (which was also in that new style).
I think the animation was on point in the latest episode, it's probably my favourite from season 4 so far.

I watched the first seven episodes of the show and to be honest I hated it😂. It was one of the most boring things I have ever watched. I liked the characters but since all they ever did was play or talk about volleyball It just got really boring really fast

Holy shit I can't believe I never saw you made a video about one of my favorite anime, good shit my dude. (the few shots of the Tokyo Ghoul anime as an example of a bad adaptation made me feel immensely validated lol)
I really dislike the 4th season. It just felt so different, I thought it was the art style at first but eventually I felt it had something to do with the animation. I initially thought the animation was worse, but now I realize it's the way things are being done are a little difference. You mentioned how some of the staff are different at the end of the video and I can only assume that's what changed thing ever so slightly for me to notice. I'm sure everything will still be fine and the show will continue to be good, but I hope I can put into words what changed because I can definitely feel there is a difference with the show besides the character designs alone. Maybe someone will make a technical break down on how certain animators/story boarders changed the show in the smallest of ways. Or maybe I'm just fucking crazy.
