35 hits, 26 runs, 14 walks, 10 doubles, 6 home runs, 6 lead changes, & multiple great plays in a 2 run game ... but they saved the best for last.

Everyone’s just coming back to one if the greatest games in history.
Yup
I'm back after watching the Yankees win the best game of 2020
@@wyatttibbitts8603 YO LITERALLY. Time to add the Yankee 2020 Wild Card Game 2 to this list lol.
Yup
Yup
This game brought all of the pitcher’s ERA’s up DRASTICALLY
Definitely one of the best games I’ve ever seen, GG Twins.
Jared Williams GG
finally a good Yankees fan
Minnesota Montage lol
GG you deserve the win
This game is up there with the Fenway comeback in 2012.
We need these 2019 yanks and twins back 😭😭😭😭😭
This is definitely Game of the Year!
Shageta456 yep
nah. FTY
Shageta456 that’s exactly what I was gonna say!
Nop. Yankees won
Jerrero amen brothea
Didi 5-5 7RBIs, damn what a game for that man
And they still dumped him in Philadelphia
Samuel Szych he left on his own
Liamjar 7 I’d leave on my own too if you don’t want me here. There focus was on Gerrit Cole & that’s it
We literally don’t need didi that’s the craziest part
@@Nate-su2wz now we do
One of the most exciting games I've ever seen.
and i watch an unseemly amount of baseball
Niceee, u a Yankee fan or do u just like watching mlb games?
@@CJ-rc5ru Yankees fan since I was 6, but I'm just a fan of the game and watch several other teams as well.
@@DaneBryantFrazier I had the pleasure of being there.
It was ok, I've seen better
Yeah its one of the all time reg season thrillers.
2002 had one like this vs the Twins at Yankee Stadium. Jason Giambi won it on a grand slam in the rain in the 14th.
2004 the Jeter dives into the stands game
2009 Yankees Red Sox into the 15th A-Rod walk off, Yanks won that 3-0 was scoreless all the way up until then
2009 can also include the Castillo error by the Mets and I think the Yanks won 9-8
Off the top of my head, those are some of the all time best Yankee regular season games I can remember, but this 2019 Twins game is right there with all of them if not better.
That catch by Hicks was amazing! If he didn't catch that it was game over!
He caught it and the game was still over.
wuphat had Hicks missed it, all 3 twins on base would’ve scored and would’ve walked it off for the Twins
@@blazehg I'm well aware.
The gane was over either way.
I was pointing out that he did catch it and the game still ended.
Duh
I think it went over everyones head lol
@@hydrodrop5457 Everyone but Hicks!
That whole game was one roller coaster of emotions
Get rid of that question mark. THIS IS GAME OF THE YEAR!
James Lisle I was there
@@JohnGannucci lucky
Your a yankees fan thats why you said that
@@megmorris6924 no I said that because it was a thrilling game to watch. Both teams were so good in that game. I would have lost it if I were watching it. And no I'm not a Yankees fan, I'm more of a mets fan but I like NY I guess.
So far... there could be a game or two near the end with pennant races on the line that might have more energy, but I doubt the blow for blow pace of this game will be matched again in 2019. These 2 teams offenses are off the charts
Nice to see a great game end on a great defensive play and not a walk-off home run.
VCR Time Machine THIS MAN IS SPEAKING FACTS!!
Koby Schechter it’s a VCR but yea same thing I gues
That would not have been out maybeye a double but still good play
Watched the entirety of this game ..so soooo good. Want this Hicks this season, want this Gleyber, and miss Didi. Sick game!
Without a doubt the game of the year and the catch of the year.
I traveled from NY to the game. It was incredible.
As a Twins fan, I'm so happy Didi is out of the American League. He was a real serious Twin killer.
This was one of the best games of baseball I have ever seen, can’t wait when these two teams will be in playoffs
This was pretty much the preview of a playoff series between the 2 teams. Both never giving up and giving it their all
I know I really hope to see them clash again in the playoffs
Yes
The wait is over. Twins VS Yankees Oct 4th!
And we're here.
watched this game live almost 5 years ago, and it's still the greatest regular season game of all time.
As a Yankee fan this is one ill never forget!!!
This game was crazy.for the yanks to come back from 8 to 2 and be able to win this game was crazy.pitching has to be better tonight though
Yankee fan here. Watching in 2022. Still remember where I was watching this game. Great Yankee win
Probably the best Walk Off Catch ever!!!!
This is the BEST game of baseball ive ever seen in my life hands down in terms of trading blows for blows, wow that was just incredible.
I miss me some DiDi Gregorious 😔
The guy was clutch with the glove & the bat & Brian Trashman let him walk to Philadelphia 😡
You can tell how bad Hicks wanted to go home after playing 5hrs risked it all on that play! 😂 👏🏼 💪🏼 ⚾️
I mean if he didn’t risk it all he still would’ve went home after that play
Here, cuz I miss baseball and this was one of the best games I’ve ever watched
Should have shown the crucial Tauchman at-bat before Hicks' HR, and the complete Chapman meltdown in the 9th. Instead this strange cut shows a full at-bat and routine ground-out after the HR by Sano...? This is why Jomboy is better than MLB at making videos.
My Yanks are playing with the same passion as when Paul O'Neil, Burn-baby-burn, hip-hip Jorge and all these great Yankees of the 90s were there!
This offense reminds me of the offense the Yankees had from 2005-2009. You couldn't count them out until the last out.
I’m a Twins fan, Yankees have had our number for a decade, this game was less about who won and more about 2 teams stacked with talent playing incredible baseball. This is why baseball is the greatest sport. GG by both teams, great win by the Yanks...and I’m sure Hicks loved playing that well in front of his old team.
YES! Best game I’ve seen in a LOOOOOOONG time! Go Yanks!!!
It's 2nd to the Fenway comeback in 2012.
Watched it live, Came back in 2022 to watch it again.. one of the greatest regular season games I ever saw
I have been watching Baseball for 45 years, this might have been the best game I ever saw WOW!
i remember me and my dad watching this in tv and it was 1 am it was crazy we almost got a noise compliant 😂
Been almost 3 years since this game and I remember it like yesterday. Greatest game ever imho
Comming back for the memories. Didi, CC, Voit, Bird man the good times
One thing I would say, Target Field is such an enormous ballpark, definitely not home run friendly but nonetheless a great game & game saving catch by Aaron Hicks.
-Orioles fan
Twins fans appreciate that commet. Especially after hitting the new homer record. Prolly add another 50 if we played in Yankees teeball park
Got tickets with my parents to this game, obviously not knowing it would be so epic. Lucky experience
This game had me on edge and that catch to end it I lost my mind
The twins definitely earned my respect during this series. What an incredible baseball game.
Wow wow wow Yankees the best 💪🏿
This series is a playlist of best plays. Yesterday a triple play, now some double plays from twins and this catch by Hicks. If this catch ain't number one in the best plays this week i don't know what is.
That catch at the end though!
I never gave up on Aaron Hicks!
I had been super frustrated with him for the longest time for swinging at everything and not working the count
All is forgiven lately :)
We need more MLB games like these again, bring the juices balls back!
After all those hits Aaron Hicks makes that beautiful catch at the very end that was a crazy game
This is the craziest game I have ever seen and I’ve been a fan of baseball since being born and I’m 36 now. Good job yanks
And now we get this for an entire series
Nick Galia or maybe not
We're heading into the WS - Astros vs. Nationals.
But I still believe that this was the best game of the year.
Every Twins fan knew this wasn’t gonna end well, even when it was 8-2.
as a minnesota fan, this is very true
*04/24/2022 watching this amazing match again*
I’m very happy I saw this game from beginning to end. What a rollercoaster of emotions.
"eXtEnDeD cUt oF aLl tHe AcTiOn"
*doesn't show how the bases get loaded bottom of the 9th*
>:(
@brett bono because it was Aroldis Chapman of all pitchers completely melted down and couldn't throw a strike, added to the tension because everyone could see something was unusually wrong which made the walkoff seem inevitable
@brett bono Would've at least liked to see ball 4 of each walk real quick. Just *Bam Bam Bam* maybe a second apart?
@@MrJNEW82 I'm kinda glad I didn't have to see him walk 3 straight batters lol
This was a wild game. Love it
I was there. It was crazy. I’m a Yankees fan
One of those where even if your team loses you have to recognize it as one of the greatest games ever played.
I'm. Really impressed by this twins team they're no joke
For sure!
I am watching this two years since the game and it is still so
with out a doubt... one of the greatest games of all time
This whole series was incredible. I was at this game. With my Yankee friend. Absolute adrenaline on every. Single. Pitch.
I see why Yankees is always known as nominated winning candidate who hovering to galleries. Amazing play. Amazing players.
Lets go Twins. And best game I’ve ever seen. Also GG Yankees
gg
Pancake 69 From a Yankees fan, GG to you too best game of the year.
I'm mad it didn't show the Tauchman at bat prior to hicks at homer in the 9th. That at bat was absolute text book, and forced Rodgers to throw a fastball where hicks could hit out
Hicks deserves a gold glove
The crowd was stunned silently..
i will never forget watching this live
One of the greatest games I've seen, second only to the July 1st Yankees red Sox game when Jeter flew into the stands
This is the game of the year, first with the comeback then the crazy 10th inning-game of the year 100%
Game of the century
This game stands up there with the Yankees vs Twins in 2002 when Giambi walked them off with a Grand Slam.
Vladiator Nice Context! That 2002 game was freakin remarkable!
our offense in 2019 was soo good. I miss those days
Compare it to this team’s offense LOL
Wow, imagine if this game had happened in the ALCS. An epic comeback followed by constant back-and-forth scoring, ending in a diving catch that would have otherwise either tied the game or walked off the Yankees. Here's hoping these two teams actually meet in the ALCS for real this season!
Was thinking about this game at work and just had to come back and watch these highlights.
It’s the game of the year 😊😊
I could watch this for ever
When Sano hit that 3 run homer I was so hyped up watching it on TV
I was so pissed hahaha.
This was a game. 2 of the top teams in the American League battling in extra innings. Can't ask anything more than that.
London had the privilege of seeing one of the best MLB baseball games in history. I still remember this game years later watching it on TV thinking what did these redcoats do to deserve this kind of game
Still possibly the best game in modern day baseball. Felt like a postseason game by the end of it
Wow only a game with offensive juggernauts could end on a spectacular catch like that!
N.Y. Yankees:" The Twins Killers."
Mad respect for the twins they played so well this is the one of the only teams I have respect for as a Yankee fan this was one of the best games no 🧢
What a game! definitely Game of the Year! Go Yankees!
Marwin Gonzales played everywhere!
I remember contemplating whether or not I should go to sleep in the 7th inning. Staying up felt like the best decision of my life. Incredible game
Game of the year 🔥👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The catch of the year.👏👏👏👏
Reminds me of playoff baseball. Loved it!
People complain we want pitcher's duels and 2-1 scores, but games like this is what provides the most drama and excitement for fans.
Ryan Ruocco with the legendary call
definitely not a yankees fan, but great game. one of the better regular season games ive seen in a long time
Hicks Unbelievable play👍👍👍
I remember watching this game live and I woke up my roommate yelling over that Hicks catch. This was the game when I realized the playoffs were going to be something else if we faced the Twins cause damn y'all can swing them bats. As a Yankee fan I can honestly say I dont know who I was more impressed by that night, us or the Twins. Awesome game guys.
What a catch! It is more than three year ago, however I haven't been able to forget that game. I get thrilled whenever I watch the video
I got to give it to him. Aaron Hicks the come back home run and then that catch saves the whole game
Didi Gregorius is in every highlight reel..every scoring play..I STILL cannot fathom that the Yankees let Didi walk and try to retain him..he was amazing all year and in the postseason...big gaffe by the Yankees brass..but oh well..GO YANKEES..Great game and comeback..
I’m back watching the best game of the 2010s decade
is there anything sweeter in professional sports than silencing the home crowd ?
Winning the whole thing lol
I think the Twins fans were annoying. They started celebrating way to early.
Brian Santos to be fair if your up 8-2 you should win of course anything can happen and it did XD
forpiepress 1 oh well that is true 😅😅😅
Hicks is a former Twins so it was doubly devastating
Didi and Hicks players of the game
Im a twins fan but still very impressive game for both teams!
