Wow, thanks so much for the super thanks! I’m so glad my video was able to help you with your iPhone camera. If you have any questions down the road, feel free to ask.
Outstanding Video making all so easy to understand. I bought the 15 pro mainly for the camera and this has saved me hours of experimenting. Thank you so very much😜
Thank you for all the detailed explanations! Very informative. Just got the 15 pro but feeling like I am missing that upgraded zoom on the max. Thanks much.
Im upgrading from SE to 15 pro and this is my 1st time Im using pro version. Literally I bought pro for camera and this tutorials are very helpful! Thanks sm ❤
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm an android user so this helps alot if I'm thinking of jumping ship to ios. It will be great if you could make a full tutorial with examples on "preserve settings". Cheers.
Thanks so much for the comment I’m glad my video was useful for you! I have tons of iPhone tutorials on my channel if you are looking for more. Enjoy the new iPhone 15 Pro!
Excellent information. I started taking photos with a Leica35 mm made in 1935 with no features. I have transitioned through SLR Pentax to a Cannon Rebel and an Iphone SE. I just got the iPhone 15 so that i can leave the Cannon at home. It is great to have a iPhone with F stop etc etc. This is a great start for me. Thank you.
Great video, thank you! But my biggest question is how can I manually focus to precisely capture something, such as a bee on a flower? Moving the camera around or tapping the screen to lock in the distance is not good enough. I wish so bad that there was a manual focus option with a slider so I can get that focus as sharp as possible, because right now no matter what I do, that bee on the flower is always blurry 😕How can I get more control over focusing?
An excellent video, Dan. I upgraded from the 13 Pro to the 15 Pro Max because of all the new camera features. I'm a keen amateur photographer with about 15000 inmates on my Flickr page and use a mirrorless DSLR and several lenses, but the 15 Pro Max camera is likely to make it redundant. I recommend using a tripod with the iPhone camera. If you have an Apple Watch you can open the camera app and take a photo by tapping on the watch, albeit with a 3 second delay. I'm also told you can take a photo using Siri, but I've yet to try that. I prefer to use a Bluetooth remote control. I went through a lot of duds before finding one made by Yunteng which has lasted over a year. The remote frees up one hand and enables me to take photos more surreptitiously, or at odd angles. Thanks for a very helpful tutorial.
Thanks so glad my iPhone 16 Pro Camera Tutorial was helpful! The F stop in the phot section should appear on its own if you have the setting on from the camera settings. If it is on, then you would just have to be in the right distance from the subject to see it appear.
Hi thanks, glad the video was helpful with your iPhone 15 Camera. As for a remote, I don't really use them but I have used this one amzn.to/3RK8b3h and it worked fine. Has good reviews but read up on it and see if has the features you are looking for. Also compare it to others you like to be sure.
Sooo as a Luddite that’s trying to escape my tribal past I ungraded to the 15 pro and even tho I went to a few Apple classes I still felt real lost, especially around the camera. Found your video and worked thru it with the you on the iPad and me on the phone. It’s probably gonna take me a few more passes thru, (at least a few) with phone in hand clicking off pics and videos, but I can see light (just barely) at the end of this very black hole that I’ve been stumbling thru. Thanks for that.
You would have to play around with the night mode options but night shots in general are tough and enlarging them tends to bring a lot of graininess to it. I am not a camera expert when it comes to things like that. I am more skilled in how to use the features. To be honest though the iPhone is pretty automatic with its photos. Night mode being on is your best option.
How to figure out if some app is using our camera and it's stuck or somebody else is recording when we turn on our camera? I had green light on but I would like to turn it off when I am taking photos. Is it that possible even and what is the procedure?
This is the best tutorial on iPhone 15 cameraI have watched. l I have learned so much from this video and even some features that my old iPhone 11 Pro Max has, but I didn't know. You are doing the job that Apple should have done for the users of its products. Thanks a lot for the great work! One thing I noticed is that the feature of "view outside the frame" does allow the user to edit and get more out of the frame image when you edit it by clicking the "crop", then one will see a rectangle box on the right top, press that box, one can choose to get more out of the frame image into a frame one picks.
Super video, I'm an often published, award winning photographer and never knew much of this even though I have been using iPhones for years. I love the fact that sometimes I do better with it than my normal $7000 Sony DSLR rig. One question. When you got into talking about the burst mode and sound for it, my phone was in set to volume up for burst mode and was making the appropriate sound, however I must have done something in that it stopped making the sound even though the volume is set up. How to I get the sound back?
Wow, that is awesome, so glad my video was able to provide you will some information! As for the burst mode sound, if you have the silence option on then usually all shutter sound is turned off. So even with volume up, if silence mode is turned on in the control center or using the action button, then the sound will not pass through when taking burst or even regular photos. With that being said, it could be a glitch and usually turning the iPhone off and then turning it back on should fix the issue.
Problem solved! :) I have to say as someone who has taught a lot and had the frustrating experience of watching tutorials on RUclips, you are at the top of the pack. Your information is complete and delivered in a way that is more than easy to understand and assimilate. I wish I could run into you for all support issues, but often wind up solving issues myself after a frustrating waste of time with someone with a heavy accent You have a new, very enthusiastic subscriber. Thanks for the work you do on behalf of the brain dead like me! :) Oh and yes, thanks for the very quick, more than helpful response! You are indeed a rarity in the cyber world!!
A great tutorial! After searching for a video to get free ringtones, ur video was the one I selected 😁 So I’m going through ur videos to watch them so I can learn more lol Thanks tho, u done a great job explaining thoroughly on how to use ur camera & to do certain photos! Don’t worry, I slapped the hell out of ur subscribe button earlier in the ringtone video. I was like I can’t leave without giving this dude a subscribe even if this is the only video I watch 🤷♀️😉🤘😅 Thanks again
good video, lots of info on a much upgraded iPhone, just found out the Pro model has Macro, but apparently the plain iPhone 15 does not, do you think Halide would help any? I love taking macro photos...
heyy!! your video really helped me! I have the iPhone 15 and I have 1 question. Whenever I film a video, when I post it on instagram the color AUTOMATICALLY change. Do you know why this happened? Also, my pictures do not have a good quality, I mean, on portrait for example they do the effect with the background like blurred but the picture itself comes out with A LOT of noise. DO you know why? Thanks again!!! ❤❤
It’s very hard to say. Sometimes apps don’t work well with certain settings and it could be lighting or movement. Extremely difficult to assess it without having the iPhone in hand.
What a great video, thank you so much for taking the time to walk me through how to use my new phone. Excellent explanation. I do have a question, what would be the best way to record an evening concert with lots of special effects? Thank you!
Thank you for the kind words! So glad the video was helpful. As for concerts and lights, it’s always tough. I can only suggest to not zoom too deep into digital zoom as that will lose quality. I then would just tap to focus and try to keep the exposure where you want it. It’s very difficult to get a perfect shot in those settings.
Hi. Great tutorial. In my iPhone 15 Pro f circle in photo mode appears only when Live Photo is turn on. If not iPhone not recognize faces and take not portret pictures. Portrait mode is anable in settings. Any advice?
Thanks! As for portrait mode in the photo section, it’s heavily reliant on distance from the subjects. Make sure you aren’t too close or too far. If you can provide me more details I could try and help more.
Great video, down to details! I found one problem with my camera though. When photographing with a non-portrait lens, sometimes, regardless of the fact I’m shooting on a non face, non animal subject, it takes a photo including Dof (with a “f”, portrait). Any idea?
Thanks so glad the video was useful. The iPhone now has auto depth of field in the photo mode which it’s using its AI to determine if the photo needs it or not. Might not be the best explanation but Apple mentioned this in their keynote. You can tap the f when it appears to turn it on but it is annoying at times when it shows up in odd situations.
There isn't really a fix that would correct that every time if the camera is taking pics that way. What you should do is test it with someone else who has a Pro Max and see if it is the way the camera just takes the picture or if it is specific to yours. If it is specific to yours then we know your camera has an issue. At that point you can take it to Apple to potentially have the phone warantied or they may put you through the basics of Updating the phone, then restoring it etc before they would give you a new one. If the other iPhone 15 Pro Max also has the yellow then it is just the way the camera is focusing based on your skin tone or the background color with your skin tone. You can try switching the standard photographic style to cool vibrant, warm or change those dials to where your photo looks the way you want.
How do I know when to use an specific lens on the iPhone 14 pro? Like it has 3 cameras, let’s say I want to take a regular photo, I use the main lense, but then what are the other 2 for?
It does the work for you. It uses multiple lenses and creates your photo. If you want to flip between the zooms on the lens you can but those aren’t flipping lenses so to speak.
Thankyou this is great even for someone who's been using iphones since the 2nd generation way back in 2010. Some useful tips. I came primarlily in my search for macro mode as I have been seeing some strange inconsistencies between the base 15 and the 15 pro which is where I'm going to be heading from a 13 mini. I dont care about zoom but I love taking macro shots of things and I want the best possible phone for that between the base 15 and the pro. If I can get away with the base that would be great. Can you please do a really in depth review of macro mode and how to get the best out of it and how far you can push it? Thankyou so much for your content. :)
Thanks so glad my video was helpful! I don’t think I can really do anything really groundbreaking with a macro video as I am not really an expert in photography. I know how iPhone cameras work and the general concepts but if you are looking for more it’s probably best to search it specifically on RUclips. I wish I could help but other then just holding the camera close I wouldn’t have that much more to say about macro.
This was well thought out so this 77 year old at least can at least begin to understand. I wonder how many takes it took you to create this tutorial? ? When I take photos sometimes they are saved as 12mp or 24 mp. I can't seem to get them consistent, mostly just outdoor scenic photos. Iphone 15 Pro Max Thanks again!!!
@@DHTV sorry major auto spell error. I’ll be getting my own phone soon so I’ll know the answer then, but I was asking if you can have regular photos write to a SSD card or SSD drive directly and not to the phone memory. I know that movies in pro res will write there I’m just curious about regular movies and pictures. Thanks I found your video helpful.
Hmm, not sure to be honest. I haven’t had issues with it. Only thing I can think of is Apple now has an auto f stop from the photo section. This blurs the background like portrait mode. It can be turned off before taking the pic or edited off after in photos. Glad the video was useful for you, thanks for the comment!
Thanks for the video…learned a lot Just a request-can u also make a video on tips to how to actually use the iphone camera…maybe using some real human subjects
Usually low light situations cause this. Try in a better lighted setting. Also restart the iPhone. If you could tell me what setting these photos are blurry.
How come the settings in my phone are completely different. I do not have enhanced stabilization, HDR video, Auto FPS... Instead I have a bunch of different ones
Just by accident, didn’t even notice. I’m trying to think ahead as I’m demonstrating and it took a lot of takes so it probably just slipped out. If I said it more then once it was a coincidence,
Thanks. Would you believe Apple doesn’t have this tutorial. I had to search on RUclips. Suggestion. With all the “portrait” modes, the lighting modes, it would be “nice” if you had specific examples of when the pros would use this stuff. I can see the beauty of the different “portrait” modes. Can’t see any value in all the rest of the modes.
Thanks glad the video helped. I struggle myself with parts of these videos as I am not a photographer nor do I really enjoy taking photos all that much so even in my case some of the portrait options have no point to me. I should elaborate more on them and I might try to do this for the next generation iPhone camera tutorials but I will have to research the purposes of all of them.
Wow amazing camera comparison, but Don't have money to afford neither of them, I just keep watching videos to see which is the best... and life goes on 😂😂🤦🏿♂️
@@DHTV Really ? Thank God. I was genuinely thinking that it was lagging. Probably gonna buy the iPhone 15 Pro Max. So, Can you tell me how the 5X camera actually is ? Also, I want to know how the transitions are for switching lenses. We all know that camera lens switching in iPhone is so smooth. I wonder if the 5X has caused any problem to the smoothness ?
Everyone here says what a great video this is. It's too detailed and complex for me. I just want to TAKE a PICTURE - without going back and forth and up and down and all over the phone! I just want to point my iPhone at an object, click on it and it's done! KISS - keep it simple...!

Hi, what a great video. How do I get the F stop icon to come up while I’m taking a photo is that possible? Thank you.
Thanks so glad my iPhone 16 Pro Camera Tutorial was helpful! The F stop in the phot section should appear on its own if you have the setting on from the camera settings. If it is on, then you would just have to be in the right distance from the subject to see it appear.
Thank you for all the info

How do I know when to use an specific lens on the iPhone 14 pro? Like it has 3 cameras, let’s say I want to take a regular photo, I use the main lense, but then what are the other 2 for?
It does the work for you. It uses multiple lenses and creates your photo. If you want to flip between the zooms on the lens you can but those aren’t flipping lenses so to speak.
@@DHTV thank you!
I haven’t gotten my phone yet but can I record to a sad card for photos ?
What do you mean a Sad card?
@@DHTV sorry major auto spell error. I’ll be getting my own phone soon so I’ll know the answer then, but I was asking if you can have regular photos write to a SSD card or SSD drive directly and not to the phone memory. I know that movies in pro res will write there I’m just curious about regular movies and pictures. Thanks I found your video helpful.
Yeah you can I believe Apple mentioned this at their event.
In Hongkong buy iPhone 15 plus pink very good camera 💝
Many are complaining about blurry photos. I turned off macro and they're clearer - any ideas??? GREAT VIDEO BTW - learned what I needed to know.
Thanks for the video…learned a lot
Just a request-can u also make a video on tips to how to actually use the iphone camera…maybe using some real human subjects
It’s hard, I don’t have anyone to use as a model for it.
How do you pause a video ?
You can’t
amazing guide !
btw. 2x zoom you lose 12mpx
Thanks and appreciate the tip!
My pics are coming blurry and noisy in selfie mode what to do
Usually low light situations cause this. Try in a better lighted setting. Also restart the iPhone. If you could tell me what setting these photos are blurry.
How come the settings in my phone are completely different. I do not have enhanced stabilization, HDR video, Auto FPS... Instead I have a bunch of different ones
What iPhone do you have?
@@DHTV IPhone 15, but it was my mistake I checked your video more carefully and found my error. Thanks for replying.
Why do you call 16x9, 6x9 format?
Accidents. I am thinking ahead as I’m saying what I’m showing so I guess it just slips. If I said it more than once it’s a coincidence.
Just by accident, didn’t even notice. I’m trying to think ahead as I’m demonstrating and it took a lot of takes so it probably just slipped out. If I said it more then once it was a coincidence,
Thanks. That clears it up .@@DHTV
Somebody's say iPhone 15 pro overheating issue have it’s still solve or Not
Not sure but mine does get hot at times. Haven’t noticed it to be any different than my iPhone 14 Pro.
I thought the iPhone 15 shot at 42 mp, mine NEVER shoots at 42. How do you ever get it to do that?
What do you mean? What does yours shoot at?
My question is: doesn’t iPhone 15 pro come with 48 mp ? Is says only 24 why ?
It’s a 24mm lens, that’s different then Megapixel
Thank you Sony.
Sony?
@@DHTV It's sony inside.
Wow amazing camera comparison, but Don't have money to afford neither of them, I just keep watching videos to see which is the best... and life goes on 😂😂🤦🏿♂️
Thank you. Hope you get it one day!
Zwag, is it you?? 😀
Who?
20:03 lag 😭
Na, I just messed up editing.
So far I haven’t been able to test the 5x as I couldn’t get a 15 Pro Max. I will be getting in the next week or so.
Everyone here says what a great video this is. It's too detailed and complex for me. I just want to TAKE a PICTURE - without going back and forth and up and down and all over the phone! I just want to point my iPhone at an object, click on it and it's done! KISS - keep it simple...!
Great video. Thanks!
Thanks so glad the video helped. I have more iPhone tutorials on my channel if you are looking to learn more. ruclips.net/user/dhtv
Fantastic info - SO helpful! Thanks!
This is a fantastic video! Thank you so much!
Excellent tutorial - thanks so much!
Thanks so glad I could help!
