I would like to point out that users, especially those using good Japanese knives avoid using Bamboo boards. Bamboo, which is actually a grass, not a wood - has a very high mineral content and will dull those super fine edged knives.
Ran straight to my cupboard to sniff the cutting boards! Lol. My epicurean boards don't smell like a thing; I used them for all sorts fruits and veggies daily.
This one is my favorite that I use all the time: www.amazon.com/dp/B0835WTPX4?tag=onamzoflavorf-20&linkCode=ssc%20&creativeASIN=B0835WTPX4&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.SUXHGYR16HO1
