Thank you for posting this. My stepfather introduced me to cruisers last year (he'd been pushing me to try one of his) so I have put maybe a few hundred miles on his HD Dyna, a 750lb monster. I've been to stores and have sat on an Eliminator 500. Love the lower weight and decent fuel efficiency. My sole gripe with it so far is the lack of forward controls, which I need on a cruiser due to long legs. Hoping the aftermarket comes through on these if Kawasaki doesn't.
Mine should arrive in the shop this week. Gotta wait for the paperwork, then we can take it home. Only problem is I have ~3 months till I get my licence, until then only my dad can drive it.
Would you recomend this bike for long travels on highways , lests say 500kms, ? also, how good/stable feels at 120 / 130 km/h ? Thank you so much great video
It's a 450 motorcycle. A good 1. Depending on how fast ya want to go hell yes it's good for long ride. Short rides long rides. It's a motorcycle. Maybe your confused or something
I would recommend another bike for those long rides. At those speeds it will hold well, but the seating position for those long rides... not sure if it is the best. I would rather recommend the Ninja 500 or better, Ninja 650 or so.
@@MotoSnax It's the same bike as the Ninja 500, and it will be way more comfortable than it due to it being a cruiser. Same for Ninja 650, if you want long road and comfy, go for the Vulcan S, since it's the same bike just in cruiser style.
I know KPH is easier and used the world over, but in American we’re looking at just over 100mph screaming. I could see this bike cruising around 85mph, maybe for longer periods???
I think it'll be fine on American highways. And i'm in Texas where we have 75mph with folks driving 85+. I would do it, but some folks tend to think they need more power and lower rpm (Harley riders lol) I have a KLX230SM and max it out all the time. But its top speed is 75mph which may limit me to the 65mph highways (unless traffic isn't crazy on the faster highways). Yes, i'll ride my KLX230SM max speed on the highway. Not a problem. One thing to check is the little 'nub' in its intake, it tends to get a little oil in it after a while which is normal when riding high rpm. I think it is called a breather hose. But this goes for any bike. Also, u may burn a little more oil at high rpm as well. Something to keep an eye on, not really an issue (it is normal and jap bikes can handle it)
@@TheHappyBiker900 I got the Eliminator as my daily commuter, in my opinion anything above 60mph is uncomfortable for longer period of time but this thing is an absolute pleasure cruising in country side road at 70ish mph.
Ok, I once owned a Vulcan S, a 650cc, cruising at 140kmh sitting straight up is comfortable. That with a full face flip up helmet. I dont use half helmet unless for short distance. I have to duck to go beyond 140kmh because of the wind resistance. Seeing this bike top speed is just 160 and looks like sufferring to reach that speed, i say cruising speed of 120kmh is reasonable, engine wise.
These bikes aren't for speeding anyway. Cruising at 120 km/h is fine. Over here the max speed during the daytime is 100 km/h. So the Eliminator 500 is sufficient for everyday rides where I live.
Should be no problem. But it will be faster (the take offs from the traffic lights) if you lose weight. I need to lose weight too. I'm a little over 100 kg without riding gear.
This is a fast cruiser. It goes very well for a 500 cc, 451 cc. :) It could be that I never asked... how tall are you? Did you have the normal seat here or the higher one? Thanks bro. How comfortable it was?
I tried to make that video last weekend but it was way to busy on the road. Was able to reach 160 km/h, but I think it will do somewhere around 170-175 km/h. I'm not sure if I will be able to try it again in the future...

Not sure if forward controls will be available. Did you also check the Kawa Vulcan S? Weighs a bit more though, but the engine is more powerful too.
@@MotoSnax Sat on one just the other day. Thought I recognized some gen1 Versys 650 parts on it!
It is more cruiser than the Eliminator is. And yes, probably some parts are used or look similar.
Supermeteore 650 Royal Enfield is more cheaper and faster . More confortable too.

I love the Eliminator but I'd never try and drive that fast. I had no idea it could even do those speeds. Yikes the speeding ticket!
Next to that this isn't the best bike for speeding. It is better for cruising.
I know KPH is easier and used the world over, but in American we’re looking at just over 100mph screaming. I could see this bike cruising around 85mph, maybe for longer periods???
The engine would have no problem with that. But if you can call it 'cruising'? I think the more comfortable cruising speed is around 75 mph.

I'm 1.80m. I had the normal seat. It was pretty comfortable. Better than the Honda Rebel 500.

Hello, which software do you use on your phone to see speed/top speed/distance etc.? Thanks.
Speedometer from Cool Niks.
What if you put your head down close to the gas tank and reduce air resistance?
I did that, camera fov shows it a bit different. The EU model has 45 hp. Outside of Europe probably 51 hp.
Mooi ding, i hopefully will get one this summer
Nice!
Thank you
How is the engine vibration compared to CL500 or Rebel?
I can't recall. Riding the Rebel 500 was 7 years ago.
Welk motorblok presenteert beter in jou mening de oude 399cc of deze 451. Er gaat nog al wat discussie rond dat de 399 de voorkeur krijgt.
Durf ik pas te zeggen als ik de Z500 test.

A little over 100 kg without riding gear. Might be faster if you weigh less. Then again, you don't want to ride this fast on a bike like this. 😁

Kilometers or miles?
km
KPH, right?
Yes.
163km/h é o máximo?
165 km/h on GPS.
After 130-140 speed rise is very slow... engine is small and comfortable ride is around 120-140 km/hour i think.
Same speed as Versys 300cc?!
Faster.
@@MotoSnax I do 100mph before hitting the red line on my RPM on my versys 300
104.3 mph over here (167 km/h) for my top speed of the X300.
R25 second pun boleh DPT 170..tapi ini motor cruiser memanglah X boleh dpt speed lebih tinggi
R25 might be able to reach it, but the Eliminator has a bigger engine thus more torque.
To me,
Yes, that is good enough also over here. I'd rather have more torque than a higher top speed.
Ma z300 fonctionne mieux 😅
This one pulls a bit faster because it has more torque, but it might be possible the Z300 has a higher top speed.
So slow
