I honestly feel like Arsenal overachieved last year and because of that, this year looks depressing. If you think about Liverpool and City, as teams, they are definitely ahead of Arsenal. And when you look at the other teams around Arsenal like Villa and Spurs, they are on par with Arsenal in terms of the overall squad/ form/ managers/ play style, etc. That is where I feel like the narrative is coming from. The teams that are playing well and look formidable this year had A LOT of issues last year and also Arsenal were just overall a better, and less predictable side than they are now. Arsenal just had one brilliant season last season. Their first time in champions league this season since 16-17. Spurs finushed above them every single time despite last season and now Arsenal are some massive team again from getting CL for the first time in 7 years. Martenelli has the same issue as rashford - too afraid to try something and then when they eventually do they don’t have the confidence/ability to pull it off. Garnacho is showing rashford how it should be done. You wont always beat the man but running at defenders gets teams excited, the fans and also makes defenders think more.

Some of the greatest games and moments I have had enjoying football isn't when the team I have followed lifts a trophy, its the big wins in the games that matter most during the season.

We have no Plan B at the moment. However, we do get a lot of chances and our finishing has been terrible so maybe it’s that and not the game plan.
