I’ve got to say, the anti Arsenal agenda narrative is kinda embarrassing.
Any team who finish with more than 85 points in any era other than this utter Manchester City alien dominance wins with that points total. United used to win titles in the nineties with less than 80 points and lost way more games.
There’s a world where Arsenal could finish with 90 points (the same total as the arsenal invincibles got) and still NOT win.
Liverpool got 97 & 98 points and DIDNT win.
People slate Klopp for only winning one title. But he’s up against literally the best tactical manager we’ve ever seen who plays football like it’s a puppet show! Any other era Liverpool would have 3/4 titles.

Like, I get wanting to banter, but Lewis and partly Tom has derailed the pod so much recently. These videos are set up to be part banter, part debate, but it is genuinely impossible to even try debating because Lewis, a producer, has completely hijacked every topic by being extraordinarily uninformed while having huge confidence.
If I remember correctly Guardiola's City has never even scored away at Tottenham (wasn't there this clip of Pep at the start of the season where he said, that's what he wanted to accomplish this year?). All City has to do is draw a game and Arsenal are very much the favourites again. Mind you, if Arsenal drop points, it"s over, and for now City are still clear favourites, but to say there's basically no chance is delusion. The only reason this is even worth mentioning is because it's been seeping through to the core of Pitch Side, and not just a one video banter take.

This is the type of content that prisoners at Guantanamo Bay are forced to watch.Lewis and Tom, especially, are unbearable. Their takes on football are shallow, and their constant shouting drowns out everyone else. It's like a playground argument-whoever yells loudest wins. What exactly are they talking about, anyway? What are Arsenal's chances of winning the league, or are they still in the mix for the title? These are two very different things. It's frustrating that no one in the room seems to know the difference. "Bottling it" gets thrown around way too easily.
1) Take Liverpool, for example. Back in January, they had a 6 point lead over both Arsenal and City. Why aren't they called out for "bottling it"? Because they bought new players? It's as if Arsenal and City had their hands up their asses and did nothing. Nobody expected Arsenal to be in the title race back then. Yet, the narrative seems to be that Arsenal "bottled it," even though Liverpool has struggled against relegation fodder all season. It's like a farewell tour for Klopp, with everyone overlooking Liverpool's poor form because "they weren't supposed to be in a title race." Get a grip, all four of you.
2) How are Manchester City weaker than last season? City remains undefeated at home this season and is unlikely to drop points at the Etihad. They'll probably end with a higher point total than they did in both the 2020-21 and the 2022-23 seasons. Key players like Haaland and De Bruyne have missed huge chunks of games, yet City keep smashing teams home and away. When it comes to goalscoring, Haaland, a.k.a. the "League Two player," has scored 21 goals in 25 starts, but Ollie Watkins is apparently better because of his fluky form.
3) Being two points behind Manchester City with four games to go is nowhere near being out of the title race. Mathematically, Liverpool aren't even out of it. Is it unlikely that either Liverpool or Arsenal will win the title? Yes. Is it 99/100 City's title? Absolutely not. Get your head out of your arse, Lewis.
