@@kieronsullivan9515 No, meanwhile I found out how he does things and it's a mix between blender and SPTarkov :) He actually showed a video in his premium channel how he does it.
@Skdks-f5o he uses a mix of capturing gameplay in SPT-Tarkov and recreating the 3d scenes in a 3d software called blender. He wrote some very nice scripts which can convert Tarkov levels to use them as such. Pretty cool stuff!
The light beams should only really show if the environment is really dusty. It would be a cool in-game mechanic for the dustiness of a scene to increase when fights occur, so you can walk into a place and know if there was fighting previously with more dust kicked up.
Hey dude, amazing video. I hope BSG will see this and you will become their next lighting artist. I do also 3D and environment art and my question to you is: How did you do this? You mean you did it in blender with cycles but how did you get the 3D environment, the models and materials. Did you export the scenes from the game into blender or did you took you captured footage and did some post prodoction in blender? I am very intrested into you Workflow. Maybe you can give me an explanation on that. Keep up you good work. It looks really cool and hopefully Tarkov will look like this in the future. Cheers
I think the amount of discussions in the comments of people not understanding that no, this isn't modded tarkov, neither is rendered in real time or in the unity engine, and the fact that the video tries to imply it could be by mixing gameplay with pre-rendered videos is more annoying than the impressive showcase. On the description it says that it was rendered in blender using cycles, meaning that he imported the assets on another program (which is why some textures and materials are just extremely off), he's not playing the game, and it also means that rendering a single frame probably took minutes if not hours depending on the scene on a powerful card, y'all are genuinely stupid if you believe this is achievable on your 1050ti and bsg will ever think of implementing raytracing to replace their current traditional raster methods. This isn't a "this is what tarkov could've been if the devs cared", this isn't even in the same realm as modding the game, this is more close to 2d meme tarkov animations than gameplay.
I have a 1050TI. Current Tarkov requires specifically shutting down everything in the graphics options that can be shut down and moving most sliders to minimum settings to pull off ~25-40 FPS during calm periods where nothing is happening on-screen. Default settings results in peak FPS of about 16 when nothing's going on, down to around 7 if I try firing an automatic weapon. Nobody who actually has an older graphics card thinks BSG is capable of improving the graphics without further ruining things for them.
I half agree on that last part but think that bsg could implement something like CS2 where they bake this into the lighting system I'm not a dev so i don't know if it works like this
Посмотрев это видео, у меня из глаз перестала течь кровь, прояснился рассудок и я захотел поиграть в тарков, но вспомнил, что такого освещения там нет.
Ah yes they really need to listen to children screeching "fix your game" without any constructive input on how to fix it or some unrealistic Santa Claus laundry list
What are you talking about. The lighting in the game is very dark in places where it should not. Fog inside buildings makes no sense. There is fog outside when the weather is not set to fog. The only reason they have that fog is to hide low textured stuff at long distances. These are pretty easy fixes that they choose to ignore. Also, gameplay changes on single player tarkov that lots of people want to see are ignored because bsg hates people talking about SPT. They seem to ignore the community a lot and it is not good for a video game to do that because it will die. Adding stuff to a game without fixing major issues first is a huge problem. The point is the community does offer lots of constructive feedback and bsg ignores it or does not focus on it. Plus, it is not on the community to directly show them how to do it. People like Tarkin and people who mod single player tarkov display that these changes can be made to the base game, so I disagree with what you are saying.@@rodiculous9464

Can smell the smoke coming from my computer from just imagining trying to run this
Not only does it look good, the game would function better visually, awesome work
Playing a game as unrealistically dark as Tarkov for so many years makes you forget it's not normal. Walking outside in woods at midday where the sky is solid white and the ground is almost completely dark makes me wonder if the devs have ever been outside, but the indoor lighting, with full sunlight streaming through the windows, is just as bad.
As a fellow vfx artist, what is your process?it you render this stuff in blender or UE, you're a literal good at making it match actual gameplay with sounds, animation etc... Insane!!!

I’m pretty sure this is actually in game, sptarkov has some rtx mods
@@kieronsullivan9515 No, meanwhile I found out how he does things and it's a mix between blender and SPTarkov :) He actually showed a video in his premium channel how he does it.
@Skdks-f5o he uses a mix of capturing gameplay in SPT-Tarkov and recreating the 3d scenes in a 3d software called blender. He wrote some very nice scripts which can convert Tarkov levels to use them as such. Pretty cool stuff!
You make some of the most interesting videos for Takrov. Way to be thinking outside the box while staying firmly in it!
bsg should hire you fr
the raytraced one should've shown the gpu on fire
Pure eyegasm ❤ Fcking love it !
This seems like a fun chill low stress game. I might play this
This looks incredible
Cheers
Wondering the same thing as well.
Raytracing lighting is just PERFECTION.
Shit... I'm so dumb
Should have read the description, thx
I half agree on that last part but think that bsg could implement something like CS2 where they bake this into the lighting system
I'm not a dev so i don't know if it works like this
This looks like those early access cinematics, I'm in tears
Посмотрев это видео, у меня из глаз перестала течь кровь, прояснился рассудок и я захотел поиграть в тарков, но вспомнил, что такого освещения там нет.
This is what the game really needs, this must be an SPT Mod. looks great!
BSG really needs to start taking in community content/suggestions. Great work like always!

It’s crazy how much beauty is already there, you just can’t see it
dude we need this to become multiplayer....
Lacking multiplayer is the only reason SPT can do these things. Multiplayer hard! Just ask any indie dev.
huh
Man ray tracing really makes games like beautiful and life like. Maybe one day
Tarkov is still a beautiful game, probably because the gloomy lighting and atmosphere makes you, the player feel immersed in a way that makes you feel as though you are the one behind that monitor and that you are really struggling in the war
yeah i feel like the gloomy atmospherw helps with immersion, even makes it kinda creepy when you walk into buildings during the day. most of these comments are neckbeards jumping at any ocassion to complain
@@gerwan9132 Ah yes because sunlight from a window will disappear completely from reality mere centimeters from the window itself. Much of the lighting is less like light and more like how shadow works. It's one thing for it to be gloomy but it's another thing when it's just unplayable for many indoor area unless you just tweak postfx and nvidia brightness/color, which almost everyone do. That is not to mention how flashlight in tarkov is blessed with the strength of a thousand suns and can burn holes into your pmc retina.

true, like wtf he has a live online game going and he managess to "send the scene" to blender to re render with rtx??? how the fuck does this work
@@yurilopes420 This is obviously not online, and blender don't have any rtx features but path tracing solutions, still doesn't understand how he was able to bring the scene into blender, even if he managed to, how can he compair the vanilla game and the rendered version of the same clip, with the exact camera and rig animations, identical environments objects position, this is extremely sus. I rather believe that is an ingame addon via reshade like Pascal Gilcher RTGI which is more plausible, than imported and rendered with blender, I'm not trusting that, at all

Bro, amazing video ! But at the same time im sad, seeing what Tarkov could have been.
Tarkov is everything it could be and more. It pushed the unity engine as well as current graphics API to the limit. That is why all the major billion dollar triple A studios failed to copy tarkov. The complexity of multiplayer and networking is why better graphics are hard to implement. Which is why SPT can do these things.

Finally you can see something in this game without a flashlight.
Tbh even without RTX Tarkov could have SO MUCH better lightning that what it has now. BSG are great when it comes to gameplay but MY GOD I wish they could outsource performance and tech patches to someone else
To reach those levels of reflections you acually don't need Raytracing. The Last of Us Part II has those type of ilumination and it doesn't have Raytracing.
The difference is huge because Tarkov itself has a really poor implementation of light and Screen Space Reflections.
Did you know if you just take off the sunglasses, the game looks exactly that way.
am i the only one thinking that around 0:41 it looks strange ? don't get me wrong it looks kinda cool but some texture with that detail of superealism just looks weird af, the hands and the weapon suits super well the realism with the raytracing added and looks really good too but the plant and the furnitures looks kinda weird with the raytracing added
and at 0:55 i realized that tarkov would be very different if it had such lightings, the game being so lit wouldn't fit the general atmophere and it's grayish colorimetry it's supposed to have, it would just look strange, but if they can manage to improve the lighting so that it can lighten places like at 0:19 that would be pretty cool tho
im so happy blender finally put the game engine back in 4.3alpha! so cool to be able to improve Tarkov and play it in cycles renderer!
