@@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling Hi Chris, thank you mate, it was absolutely brilliant. Just love being able to walk straight out of the front door and straight in to a hike. Another brilliant walk Dave, nearly missed this. I am amazed at how well you can navigate your way round these hills and forests as many paths were faint and sketchy. You did well to not end up in the thistles!! You seem to have these hills all to yourself and perhaps that's the main attraction. Well put together on relive, expertly!! Regards, Ashley
@@ashleyjarnold Haha, I just open up OS maps out on the iPad and plot a route following all the public footpaths, some as you say around here are less well walked than others! Haha, yeah mate the first bit of the walk is the same path, but headed left at the gate this time instead of going round to the right. You can’t beat a bit of off piste hiking. There were quite a few sheep trods to follow on the ridge. That Forest track at the end was mad. It just got more and more over grown. If I’d have had shorts on my legs would have been ripped to shreds with the brambles. Haha Seriously mate, the church / cottage is mega, you would not be disappointed. 😃
Great views down the valleys there mate. I have a question, I'm doing the Cumbrian Way soon. I don't normally use sticks. What do you think having done it yourself, sticks or don't bother? Thanks mate
@@trekkingwithtony Hi Tony, it was a cracking walk, tough with a lot being off piste. The odd sheep trod were very welcome indeed🤣 I wouldn’t say sticks are a necessity.
