We’re Marianne and Chris, a married couple from the UK. After some life changing events we decided that life was just too short. We sold all our belongings, bought an old Campervan & rented our house to travel full time. The aim is to attempt to visit every country in the world in either our van or with a backpack. We started videoing our travels for our family and then decided it was a wonderful way to document and share our adventures.
Our latest adventure started in January 2020 when we left the UK in an attempt to drive our van all the way around the world. Let the adventures continue.

I was last in Gumusluk in 1987. My first visit to Turkey. Has changed so much.
May God help Mariana and Chris, I spent my 2019 vacation in Istanbul and fell in love with her and felt sad when I left , so how about who visited all of Turkey .....
I passed to Rabbit Island by walking using the ancient road over the sea. It happened two years ago in May in Ramadan. The reason for the wire fences around the island is not the fact that the season has not started, but because the excavation started due to the ancient ruins found on the island.(Also, trying to get to the island just by walking can be extremely challenging because there are many mossy areas on the stones in the water so you must have a wand in your hand Or you will slip into the water)

bodrum is probably the most expensive coastal town in turkey... if you go to closer places like datca you can find much cheaper houses for something much more peaceful, bodrum in the summer can get up to 2 million ppl
Also doesn't have to be right by the sea side. Inland is would be more better and much much cheaper. Something like 5 to 10 mile away.
It is affordable in Marmaris.
Nowhere can beat Icmeler and Marmaris region!

Hello Marianne and Chris. 🙋 In August, I also climbed that hill and the view was really great at sunset. 🌅 Gümüşlük is a very relaxing place. The walking path to Rabbit Island is very clear in summer. In the winter season, waves block the way. Greetings, good travel.🌸

Bodrum to Turkey what Magaluf is to Spain. Maybe it's more pleasant when no tourists can visit. But I'm glad you didn't avoid it on your extended Turkish trip. Don't rush home as the UK is a mess. Happy holidays to you both.
Sorry I don't agree,yes the town of Bodrum is busy with lots of bars and restaurants but it also has lots of culture to enjoy and lovely friendly people.

MERRY CHRISTMAS ! We picked mandarins, oranges and lemons to earn extra money in Spain. My girlfriend and I worked together, she climbed the trees and I picked from the bottom, then RAN to the weigh station as we were paid by the kilo! We earned more than most!

In Turkey it is Baba Noel not Santa Claus.I love exploring the Bodrum peninsula,the little villages and towns are all so different.The places you visited have changed so much in recent years but I suppose that's progress.I remember when Rabbit Island was fenced off,we were told it was to protect the archeology .From the high headland you could see what remains of an ancient paved road to the island.Bitez is one of my favourites on the peninsula.You are getting close to my favourite village Dalyan.Not sure if it's open but there is a good camp site called Dalyan Camping and at the other end of town is a large car park next to the river where people wild camp.Have a happy Christmas and stay safe.🎄🎄

Yeah, in Turkey christmas decoration, trees etc are prepared later as they are actually for the new year celebration not christmas. Because christmas and new year are very close many people worldwide confuse it with new year celebration and thinking christmas is at 31 december while in reality it is at 25 december. Santa Claus giving ''new year'' presents also adds another level to the confusion, lol!! Merry christmas guys.

22:00 the Rabbit Island is closed for couple of years now, due to the excavation work going on there.
It’s true that there were lots of rabbits running around on the island before but I think they are gone after the excavation work started. I hope they bring them back when the work is finished.
And yes, I remember the water wasn’t that high in my childhood 🙂
