I was been in Kas, what a delisous amazing and deep turquose colour water they have in KAS. Best beach! It’s near to kalkan 10 km away!

It's been over 20 years since we visited Kalkan staying in the Hotel Pirat, 147 steps from the old town to our room. Thank you for bringing back so many fond memories.

Every video is better than the one before. I've said it before, but you have done more to promote Turkey than any government department could ever do. I've gone from "Why on earth would I want to go there?" to "I really must go there!" .
@Erencan Ayhan Let me list the countries I have visited and worked in (apart from the usual European holiday destinations of Portugal, Spain, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, Malta and Germany): Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Yemen, Kenya, Sudan, Egypt, and Canada. I have spent the best part of my life travelling wherever my work and pleasure took me, and now I have retired I have a motorhome - but limits on what I can do with it.
I had not thought of taking my motorhome to Turkey, simply because there is still so much I have yet to see nearer home. I cannot go everywhere, and where I can go has to be planned and justified in cost and mobility terms. In this respect Turkey was very low on my wish list as the time and cost of getting there seemed prohibitive. Chris and Marianne's videos have changed my mind (as have the minds of several other posters below). Should the opportunity arise in the near future, I will happily travel to Turkey, but it may have to be by flying.
Hi David - we were chatting to van friends and we came up with a plan of driving to Italy getting the boat to Greece and then driving across to Turkey !! It may be a much simpler way LOL - I think we made so many detours LOL 😂😎🙌

My husband have İ been following your trips and currently thinking about escaping the rat race.we actually drove from UK to turkey two years ago it was fantastic experience.its definitely worth going further in land to see places like Cappadocia and nemrut. Breathtaking from start to finish. The Turkish people appear to be taking mask wearing, staying at home and social distancing seriously. As you said, it is good for you and this breathtaking tour of Kalkan (and your lucky viewers), but difficult and sometimes devastating for local businesses. When/if I get to Turkey in Vamos, this is a must stop.

Maybe as rich Westerners you should be more concerned with the helping-locals aspect of this rather than getting a discount, don’t you think? Besides, what do you wanna get a discount on, when the lira has lost value in such a dramatic way? If you don’t know how to appreciate other cultures - amongst others by paying them for their work - why the heck do you travel?? Shame on you, seriously.
@@FB-st1sl Not everyone from the west is rich, your comment doesn't make much sense. Turkish shops like anywhere else would only sell if they're making money (after discounts), so if there's a voluntary sale it's a win-win for both sides. No business owner would think "Oh no, they replied correctly, now I'll lose money on this sale" lol.

My family and I had a fabulous holiday this year in Side. Can’t recommend it enough. There are no security problems having a Turkish holiday, and they are the friendliest people to meet.

Kalkan is our little slice of heaven & our 2nd home, and we are blessed to have an apartment there. 12 years of an amazing place. Friendly locals, fantastic atmosphere, beautiful seas, gorgeous food, great friends both Turkish locals & English locals. Highly recommended 😎

Thanks for the video. Brings back great memories. I've been there 3 times. Turkey as a whole is a beautiful place, with wonderful people, great food & fantastic weather. For me, it was the warmth of the locals who were so welcoming & accommodating. I have found this all over Turkey to the places i've visited. I love it there !

As a Turkish who is working in Poland. I felt that I really missed hearing nice things about Turkey from foreigners. For years, I surprised a lot about stereotypes that have about Turkish people. They imagine us as quite different in a negative way. Surely, we have some problematic people, some of them have quite much power, unfortunately. Hope we will cope with all. Will be not easy. Anyway, thank you so much, guys.

Right now, I wish I was able to fit in the fridge - it's still piping hot/humid here at nearly 9pm (Auckland, NZ @ January) and I don't have aircon - have loved seeing your USB fans, must look to see if I can get a few for here!
They really helped ... but reducing our core temp during the day by going into aircon cafes to work in the midday sun and drinking ice cold drinks was the only way we could survive night times !! take care and drink lots !! Marianne xx

I bought a rug in Turkey, pretty expensive hand made thingy, had loads of fun with customs at Gatwick. I won, despite the pressure.😂🍷
