Really enjoying this series guys! I know Al gives this car a bit of grief but I saw a glint of smile when he heard it rev 😂 looking forward in hearing it run! You guys are just fun to watch.
I friggin love this chanel! Thx boys for the superb work. Al make woodie do the loom on the next project for shits and giggles. WAnna see those coil packs explode!!!
Have really enjoyed this project. Al's voiceovers are great. Cool, unusual car. Great motor (not just another Barra swap). Practical, fun, tidy and done right. Cool project, with no nonsense, funny how-to commentary. Really enjoyed the more in-depth machining and motor work. How about a 3Gen Outback? EZ30 Turbo upgrade, 6 speed swap, lift kit, bigger wheels, diff lockers? Touring weapon that can handle the rough stuff. It's a common car, cheap parts, achievable mods. Carn.
Sorry to sound repetitive but I really enjoyed this one. Mcm, bcw and you guys are all I watch on RUclips car stuff now. Quality content. Thanks again for taking the time to record all this stuff guys. Much appreciated.
Thank you so much guys for this original build. Special thanks to Al!! I'm really into ''hairdresser'' stuff like this. I've waited years for someone to do this exact project so i could eventually do most of it myself with the help of my aging dad. I wonder if you could write on a piece of paper or a excel spreadsheet most of the bits and pieces for this ambitious project. Much, much love from Canada!!!
Best channel on the Tube! Keep doing what you are doing. Really enjoying Al's commentary. Please do an LJ or LC Torana project at some point in the future.
I once had a Datsun 200B that had the aircon system from a Commodore installed. It sucked the absolute guts out of the motor when you switched it on, but even on 40 degree days I couldn't leave it on all the time, it was just too cold. That car was nicknamed "the fridge", for obvious reasons. I wish aircon systems in cars today were that good, but the modern CRC and freon free systems just aren't as good.
I solved the 10mm wrench problem for good. I took my oldest 10mm wrench out of my box and hooked it to my car key. I got that cheap slight bend to fit 10mm wrench for at least 30years. Fits great next to my 30 year old car key. And I know always where a 10mm wrench is. Never lost that thing and when I drop the key it makes some noise! You guys might want to think about making a 10mm wrench as a car key hanger with The Skid Factory on it. Who doesn't want a 10mm wrench?
Congrats on the build! Can't wait to see it tuned and finished. Loved the series, even though it's a raggedy old Toyota. Should have engine swapped it for something useful like a VK56VD. But you do you brother. Thanks guys!
You guys are so awesome, too bad I didn't discover your channel sooner. It may sound weird, but watching you two work on cars helps me a lot when I'm not feeling well mentally. You are amazing people, you make me laugh very often and your videos give me hope that one day I might buy myself a nugget of my own and do some work on it myself or with my mates. It will never measure up to your work but maybe I can make it at least 1% better. Keep up the great work!
When people ask me how we do what we do I'm going to use those phrases now. "Every where goes somewhere. That one goes from the ecu to a thing". haha love it.
Myself I find it much easier to physically trace a wire than go off a diagram and multimeter. I have always cut the sheathing and physically tracked wires. It takes the mystery out of the task IMO.
The flex-sensor probs on the return side can be helped by putting the sensor at the bottom of a loop (or ramp). This keeps the element fully submerged if flow slows enough to allow air up the return line.
