  • The water pressure was extremely high and the old PRV was making a high pitched whining noise for the client. Here's the full video of a water pressure regulator swap. We decided to replace the 2 old gate valves as well and install 2 new ball valves. Using press copper fittings and valves to complete this install #plumbing #plumber #diy #copper #homerepair. #plumbingrepair #tools

    New to plumbing, what’s the benefit of the rigid pro press over just solder, it seems easier but the only downside I can think of is you can unsolder , but can u unpress the fitting also ?

      Awesome! Thank you, yeah I’ve gotten so many requests. I’m going to upload the slower versions as well around the same time as the shorts. That why people can watch whatever they like!

    Why is the pipe hanging out so far from the wall? Why not go up and build it vertical so it's out of the way

      This is all located under a water heater .. I had to remove the water heater to perform this work and then reinstall it

    Really nice work 🔥 🔥 but did you offer to run it up the wall and out the way a little bit more just wondering because some customers will and others will say the hell with it

      Thanks! actually all this work was done under their water heater.. I had to remove the water heater to get to it and then reinstall the heater, so going up wasn’t an option

    Where were the 2 lines going?

    • @theplumberlorian
      @theplumberlorian  10 месяцев назад +2

      The one 3/4 inch copper line is the main water coming into the home .. the other line is a 1/2 inch copper line to an outdoor hosebibb.

    Looks good. I like the Zurn PRVs. Where do you get the press unions? I usually use the threaded unions.

    Why use the c1 jaws here? Are they just easier to use? Looking into getting a set, done a few remodels where I wished I had them

    • @theplumberlorian
      @theplumberlorian  9 месяцев назад +2

      Yep.. they are just easier to maneuver IMO .. and don’t stick to the fittings .. definitely a must have in my book if you do a lot of service and repair
