  • To start off, attaching the Moen tub spout faucet
You must have rough plumbing, sticking out far is enough to cut it down and attach your thread bushing
You start off by measuring you’re rough plumbing sticking out past your surround or tile
You can slip over the copper, fitting in lightly thread on the tub spout, and then measure the distance between the surface of your wall material and the tub spout
Once you know the amount of material, you need to trim or possibly extend with a coupling, you can cut the pipe and begin to solder on the threaded coupling
In the start, you need to clean your copper surface and add flux to the end of the pipe, and inside the fitting. once you connect the fitting to the end of the pipe with the flux inside the joint, you can wipe off any surface access flux
I use map gas on the lowest setting of the torch and mostly keep the heat on the fitting and you can gently rock back and add heat to the pipe, but most of the heat needs to be drawn to the thickest part of the metal which is the fitting and that’s where the solder needs to go The heat will draw the solder into the fittings from the pipe.
While the solder is cooling, you can clean the area off with fresh flux. It’ll make the copper shine you need to let the fitting cool without water and then add your Teflon, tape and thread on your tub spout some people add silicone, I choose not to .

Very nice vid, sir. Thank you. Idk if you care, but the word access should be spelled excess, I think. I got the point though. Thanks again!

Cut copper pipe 3.5in, when adding threaded tip it will be a total of 4in. You're welcome...

Where can I buy the Moen thread on Tub Spout? The stores only sell slip on tub spouts.
