My favorite is still Origins 😅 in my defense, I fell in love with Leliana, and I adore being able to make her Divine in DAI; Inquisition is a close second and DA2 has grown on me like a deep mushroom. I feel like I'll want to replay the whole series (again) after DAtV 💜
Inquisition! For me the best of the 3, due to it being more visually + aesthetically pleasing and having a fantastic story/characters! DA:O and DAII have not aged well, unfortunately, visually speaking...
Hard to say since I have not played DAO for so long...However, before diving into Veilguard, I replayed Inquisition and Dragon Age 2. Ultimately, I prefer Dragon Age 2. It feels much better; the banter is terrific, and I felt right at home. Yes, there are many issues, such as the crowds of stupid enemies and the repeated locations( Also, why can I collect raw lyrium, and why is it red? ) Nonetheless, the Mass Effect-like experience of the second part won me over once again.
Thank you! Yes, I never realized until I was writing this up, that I had the most important things that needed to be mentioned from DA2! Great story for sure, and sets up so much for DAI and probably DATV!
Damn, that was so well done. Havent played any of them but all the crying from the pale sadboys in red hued head warmers have me interested in the newest title. So ive been trying to find a short video that summarizes the important stuff and i can finally stop hopping around RUclips thanks to you. And yeah, really smart how you did it, background on the world first so that everything that follows is way easy to understand. I dont think ive eve seen a summary video that did that, which seems weird in hindsight, but yeah i really appreciate what you did here. Thanks!
I think the most interesting thing about Dwarven lore is how they see the world. They think they will fall into the sky. Idk to what extent they're gonna explain or if it's significant to the lore. What's really interesting is this is how the real world looks if our eyes didn't invert the image. The world we see is upside down. If we could see the world as it really is it would look as if we could just fall into the sky when we jumped. I know that sounds absolutely insane. LOL but it's just gravity. When we are first born we see the world the way it really is for a few days and then our eyes adjust to see it like this.
Thanks for the suggestion! I think I will if I have enough to say about it! Or if there's enough to tin foil about, I might just go straight into that! lol I can't wait!
A lot of lore changed starting with dragon age 2 and more and more with each new release. Dragon age origins is the only dragon age game. When you change the lore whether intentional or not, anything with the changes is no longer in the series.
Dragon Age Inquisition has been my favorite. maybe my favorite g(ame)oat. I'm gonna make an omelette so good you will be hugging yourself madly with glee.
As I understand it Orsino transforms himself into a Harvester, a type of Golem? Not sure which is worse, fusing with a bunch of corpses or a demon wearing you like a suit (Abomination).
Question!? Been trying to find lore on this and it isn’t really answered. So we know the old eleven gods are the archdemons and they are essentially what has been starting the blights with the last two being awakened in veilguard and we kill them. Now that all the old gods are dead what does that mean for the wardens? As well as who the maker actually is now that we also know that Arlathan was also the golden city.
Say what you will about Dragon Age 2, they made non human races look the most non human. Quanri like the arishok look so cool! intimidating and almost alien, but with familiar traits like more or less elven ears. The idea of the Qun is so cool- a lifestyle seen by outsiders as a religion, despite it being more than that. Bull is the only other Quanri we see who is arishok-esque outside of 2 and DAV looks like they made quanri just people with horns, which is what it is. Elves have a more angular look to their faces and bigger eyes. which allows them to be the most expressive. The way 2 keeps them smaller on average, really feeling like a group that used to rule the world but now are 2nd class citizens in everyway. The Dalish clans didnt really click with me until Solas' romance with inky- how the vallaslin was slave markers and the Dalish have lost the original meaning of it and have pulled anything they could from the old elven empire and tried to make it theirs. Just such a cool idea! Dwarves that arent Varric look more or less dwarvy with beards and such but you cant reinvent the wheel every time. Though i wish Orzammar was included as a place to visit in DAI.
Replaying the games in prep… I think DA2 may actually be the best for me in some ways. The companions are great. It’s a nice focused story. All the problems with reused assets honestly don’t bother me. I think 2 is unfairly criticized. I suspect that VG will be most like 2 with some Inquisition and ME elements. Looking forward to it!
@@TJPavey I agree! Also when I was writing this up, I realized there was so much more important stuff in DA2 than the other games! It was a really good set up for a lot of plot
Yes, I LOVE the qunari design in DA2 so much! Definitely miss it. I also never cared about the elves until Solas' romance, and now that's what I seem to care about most! 😅😅
Which Dragon Age game has been your favorite so far?
My favorite is still Origins 😅 in my defense, I fell in love with Leliana, and I adore being able to make her Divine in DAI; Inquisition is a close second and DA2 has grown on me like a deep mushroom.

Origins forever

Inquisition, then 2 and then Origins. I love them all, but I just can't stand the combat in Origins :D

I just found your videos in the run-up to Veilguard. They are very well done, thanks for taking the time.
I preordered the game yesterday and cannot wait!
excellent content. DA2 hands down best story. wasnt hot on the art style but man the writing was good on that one. love the depth on mythal at the end

Fans of the series: DA2 maybe we judged you too harshly X_X

This is the best refresher/recap on the platform. Nicely done!

oh wow I never knew that!
This was my request lol. Thanks for making it. Will you be reviewing the game?

this will be my first DA game! as an action-rpg fan the earlier games' combat kinda put me off but i'll try them for sure after this video.
Watching this as my game is downloading!
Great video, got me really hyped to finally play Veilguard!
YASSSSSSSSS Thank you!
Dragon Age Inquisition has been my favorite. maybe my favorite g(ame)oat.

Good work with all you've done good hunting🐉🙌🏿
There was a 4yr gap between inquisition and DA2? I thought it was a year or so.
About that much, I think so!
As I understand it Orsino transforms himself into a Harvester, a type of Golem? Not sure which is worse, fusing with a bunch of corpses or a demon wearing you like a suit (Abomination).
Ah, I guess you're right! I think I just was conflating spooky, illegal magic all together as just demons... maybe I'm just as bad as the templars lol
0:42 saur cute !
She's my lil old lady pain in the butt 🥰
One tinfoil theory I always liked you didn't mention: Sera is (or is a part/wisp of) Andruil.
@@Em-ih5du oh yeah! Forgot about that one!
