The problem with the hot rocks is you probably used rocks that were submerged in water. The rock is porous and has water in it. It gets turned into steam in the fire and expands rapidly and turns the rock into a frag grenade

Hate to break it to you but I do the exhaust grilled cheese a lot when I go snowmobiling and it works fantastic 💃 you gotta get the exhaust real hot, I normally take it out in my back pack and do about 2-3 hours of riding and the engine is at 7-8000 rpm then I put it on the exhaust and go ride around while it runs for 5 mins per side, but it does work! if you want to microwave a grilled cheese, than you have to toast the bread first,
and then heat up only long enough to get the cheese to start melting. you gotta f9ind a balance, between melted cheese and soggy bread.

A method I'd definitely recommend for those who have limited space is to use a *toaster oven.*
Pre-heat the toaster oven to roughly 450 degrees, and then place the grilled cheese (on an oven pan) into the toaster oven for roughly 8-10 minutes (time may depend on your toaster oven), flipping half-way through.
From my experiences, it turns out surprisingly well.

Superintendent, I was just- uh, just stretching my calves on the windowsill. Isometric exercise. Care to join me? Why is there smoke coming out of your oven, Tyler? Uh- Oh. That isn't smoke. It's steam. Steam from the steamed peas we're having. Mmm. Steamed peas. Whew. Superintendent, I hope you're ready for mouthwatering grilled cheeses. I thought we were having steamed peas. D'oh, no. I said steamed cheese. That's what I call grilled cheeses. You call grilled cheese steamed peas? Yes. It's a regional dialect. - Uh-huh. Uh, what region? - Uh, upstate New York. Really. Well, I'm from Utica, and I've never heard anyone use the phrase "steamed cheese. " Oh, not in Utica. No. It's an Albany expression. I see. You know, these hamburgers are quite similar to the ones they have at Krusty sandwiches. Oh, no. Patented Skinner sandwiches. Old family recipe. - For steamed cheese. - Yes. Yes. And you call them steamed cheese despite the fact that they are obviously grilled. Ye- You know, the- One thing I should- - Excuse me for one second. - Of course. Well, that was wonderful. A good time was had by all. I'm pooped. Yes. I should be- Good Lord! What is happening in there? - Aurora borealis. - Uh- Aurora borealis at this time of year at this time of day in this part of the country localized entirely within your kitchen? - Yes. - May I see it? No. Tyler. ! The house is on fire. ! No, Mother. It's just the northern lights. Well, Tyler, you are an odd fellow but I must say you steam a good cheese.

4:35 this hot rock exploded because there was significant moisture inside, rapidly heating it up will cause said moisture to evaporate and expand, eventually forcing its way out in a dangerous manner. Its why you never put wet rocks near a fire, they are likely to go boom.

Growing up, we used to take this gadget to make grilled cheese over a fire camping with us. It's two sticks with a square mold at the end and they hook together. You place the sandwich in the mold, shut it tight and put it over the fire. Gave a super good flavor to the sandwich, similar to how I image it would taste if you grilled it but with the crust closer to if you cooked it in a pan. Plus since it was all closed together, any cheese the poured out would just cook onto the break and get super crunchy. By far the best way I know to make a grilled cheese

the air fryer method is my preferred way to make grilled cheese, now for my setup and prep i use a Cuisinart that has a grill grate and instead of using butter or even Mayo, i spray avocado oil on the outside, use any kind of cheddar and pepper jack cheese, cooking at 325F, five minutes per side(applying avocado oil to the top of the sandwich) and once its done, while i don't get a cheese pull after cutting, i do get a cheese pull after each bite. Overall a nice way to make a grilled cheese in around 14 minutes.

This vid is cool! Did ypu take inspiration from the cooking an egg every eay video? I see the hot rocks and the car one and it reminds me of that video

if you're planning to use a microwave to heat any kind of bread you simply must put a folded paper towel underneath to cover the entire size of the slice.
It simply stays more dry, but still better to cook it somewhere else.

Air fryer grilled cheese is my favorite! Super easy, hands off, and super crispy

With the hot rocks you need to grab rocks from the ground rather than near water as rocks near water will explode whereas rocks not near a body of water are less likely if at all of exploding, great vid though good form

You should try the stir fry method again, but substitute the vegetable oil for some homemade cheese oil.

I love doing it with my air fryer! I do 10 minutes at 400 and flip half way to avoid the preheat

If you make a follow up video, my favorite way to make grilled cheese is in a toaster oven. Pro tip: you gotta watch it close because it goes from perfectly done to burnt in seconds.
