追記) 「貶してる」「忘れられてる感なんてねえよ」と下の方に書かれていますが、この曲が3つのなかで過小評価されているのは事実です、僕はジョジョ作品全て(曲も含めて)大好きですし、全く持ってこの曲を貶しているつもりはありません。この世間からのgreat days や Crazy Noisy Bizarre Townの評価と同じくらいChaseも評価されるべきだよね。最高だよねって言いたいんです。ジョジョ愛を持ってコメントしたつもりでしたので、伝わらずとても歯痒い気持ちですが、共感してくださる人たちは僕と同じジョジョ愛があると思っています。これからもジョジョを愛し続けましょう！

4部は世界とまでは行かないけど
周りの仲間とか友達とか町とかってゆう。かけがえのない「日常」のために戦うのがいいよね(´・ω・｀)

I freaking love this as the Opening song of JoJo "Sheer Heart Attack" Story Arc. I don't get why people don't like it, heck the lyrics were written for this arc. But I just love the beat and power of the song. You can't help but get riddled up and excited for the next episode because of this song.
Also, if you look up the lyrics, it explains how the duwang gang and kira disturb each other's peace in that kira just wants to live a normal life in duwang while the gang has to solve the murder mystery to avenge shigechi and reimi as well.
I’m like 1% sure all JoJo openings are written for their respective arcs, but who knows.

歴代のジョジョのOPの中でも異質な感じなのがものすごくいいよなぁ〜
最初は逃げへの執念で吉良が勝つけど、吉良を追跡する執念で最後には仗助達が勝つっていうまさに4部を体現する曲だと思う

Champ J I don't understand it my self. Heck by Great Days I was self aware and even counted how many listens it took for me to love it. The next day I was humming it down the street. I would suspect that part 4 just has ops that shatter the expectations of what a Jojo op is causing initial panic over change but that change is good. Honestly all three ops from part 4 are tied for second best op for me with Sono Chi no Sadame just edging out best op by a margin only Star Platinum could accurately account for.
I have never encountered a Jojo theme I didn't love at first listen.

この曲の歌詞ってって吉良視点、仗助視点別々で見ると
意味合いが変わってくるからかなり凝ってるよね
ずっと主人公目線で見てたけど、平穏なら崩れさったとか、吉良目線でも見れんのね。
あ あ あと「勝敗を分けるのは執念」って歌詞も平穏に執着する吉良吉影と杜王町を守るために戦う主人公サイドと重なる気がする

Everyone says chase was a bad OP because it didn't fit with the tone, but it was well made and I think captures the moment pretty well of everyone's fear and sadness of Shigechi's death, as much of a shit as he was. They just used it too early in the show, I think.

4部のアニメからハマった新参者だから、このOPがジョジョに合わないっていう意見に共感出来ない。。。。。
それまでの日常回(？？)から展開がガラッと変わって、吉良吉影に焦点が合ってストーリーが進んでいく様をよく表現できてると思うんだけどなあ。歌詞がマッチしてるし。
多分だけど、みんなが言う「ジョジョっぽい」ていうのは1～3部のような太くて力強い（北斗の拳みたいな）やつだと思うんよ。この曲みたいにザ.日本のロックって感じを求めてないんだと思う、でも歌詞的には「何気ないそしてさりげない気づかないうちに奪われていた」の部分で吉良という一般者を装った殺人鬼が静かに平和な町で人を殺しているという不気味さ恐怖を表しバリバリ4部に合ってると思う

3部までのopを視聴しました。確かに4部と全然違いますね。3部までの雰囲気に慣れていると確かに違和感を感じるかもです。
その「ジョジョっぽい」opを実現してきた3部までのスタッフ様、アーティスト様方も素晴らしいですが、この歌詞で4部を表現しているアーティスト様も自分は称えたいです。総じて皆様素晴らしい。

This opening is pure geniouss, the song style fits the duwang gang so well. After their loss of a comrade theyre feeling kind of down but still burning with desire to hunt down kira. The monotone voice complaint i always hear is soooooo misunderstood. It fits kira as a person so well. Kira is someone who only wants to life a peaceful quiet life. And the lyrics. Oh god the lyrics. I havent heard a piece of poetry such as this one. It captures the duwang gangs actions, feelings, and the change after that fat fucks death. If you dont like chase as a jojo opening then, honestly i dont think youre able to grasp the meaning.
