I’m excited about this watch for the same reasons you are - tough Solar and Multiband 6 for this size is incredible. I have some of the GMDS5600 watches and like the size but wanted the extra goodies. Hopefully, they’ll be more collaborations.
Compared to other G-Shocks that appear in the video, the numbers on the gmd-w5600's screen are not clearly visible. I suspect that they used a low-cost display with poor visibility.
GLX-S5600, 18 cm wrist size (7 in.) fits very comfortably but needed a little "help" at first. I've put a pair of splinters under the "lips" of the straps protruding from the lugs so that straps would spread wider. Before that it was uncomfortable with watches in the middle of the wrist, the straps would press on the sides of the wrist and tend move away from the center.
