- I paid good money for this style so I am going to make it STRETCH. Today’s wash day is going to using SheaMoisture’s new Amla Bond repair line to wash my quick weave. And the hair is EATING and healthy as ever!

Me either. I’ve never heard of a quick weave lasting 2 months. That’s sew in results😮. Braids are only 6-8 weeks. She did her thang with this.

I can't come to accept washing my hair without getting my scalp wet. It's like taking a shower without washing my feet. I've worn weaves, wigs, and braids two weeks max because I want to wash my hair 😩 Your hair looks beautiful. ❤

I didn’t know that a quick weave could last for 2 months, let alone still look this presentable. I HAVE to wash my scalp every week, though, two weeks at the most. Lovely results!
I think my definition of a quick weave is different from yours because I've never known a quick weave to last 2 months and I've also never seen a quick weave washed.
Y'all must be young as hell cuz before all these seamless wigs there was glue-ins, circle weaves, you didn't take them out for 3 months on average sometimes 4 months. And we washed our hair with a clarifying shampoo, not this natural shampoo everyone uses today with all the oils in it. It's the oils in the shampoo that can help loosen the glue and help the weave to come out! Clarifying shampoo was an kind of astringent acting ad the opposite of oil, to dry the hair out more and get rid of oils.
Maybe they should make lace fronts with soft plastic instead of that sharp material that cuts our edges off and we'd be alright. I don't mess with that glue anymore. I could do clip ins tho! Try clip ins there're much healthier for your hair.

I’m in Detroit and we were literally the innovators of the 27 piece.. and also motions, aphgee, mane n tail plus more was the shampoo of choice .. not all of use utilized suave or V05 from the dollar store

@@elilove8456 Idk, I'm a 80's baby, so I was definitely getting quick weaves back in the day. I never had one in for more than 3-4 weeks tho, and certainly never known of anyone washing one ( not that washing it is a bad idea). I went to cosmetology school in 2005 as well. I've just never known anyone to wear a quick weave as long as you stated. That's wild. I've also never in my life worn a wig of any kind, so I've never known the no edges struggle from that crap. Some things are just not a good idea.
Between the wash, dryer, and oils my tracks would have slipped out the first 2 weeks

Her hair and skin are naturally oily. If you look closely her roots on the quick weave are still very very oily. She just has thick enough hair to cover the back parts that are heavier with oil at the roots. Also we don't know if she sweats in her head either. Her revival of this hair is nice

This is Gorgeous!! Remember to use a mirror to comb the hair so it spreads evenly in the back (especially the middle), and cover up the tracks. One time I went to the grocery store and this very kind woman behind me told me she could see my tracks and she even helped me fix my hair. I thought that was so nice of her. You are so cool! Keep shining!🫶🏽
She has done a great job maintaining her leave out. As a hair stylist I do not advise you leave a quick weave in for two months. This is a temporary extension technique used to maintain short lived styles. I have seen so many scalp and hair issues due to over use and longer than recommended extension install times. Let's try to be more conscious of our natural hair and not the extension.
I'm so glad someone said this! ❤ And professionalism and education aside, if you're doing all this to maintain a quick weave so it lasts longer, you may as well just take it out and do it over. Quick weaves are not worth all this effort.

That’s why I put the hair in ponytails. You only watch the ponytail and take extra care not to let the water run down into the roots when you wash the leave out
Sectioning the hair is so smart it makes it more efficient to get the result faster

How did you get damage from quick weaves? Did they apply a protective barrier to your hair before gluing the tracks? Sew ins seemed to cause damage for me because of the tension

@@healwithcle no ma’am. The glue never touches your hair if a protective barrier is properly applied that’s why I asked. It’s a black liquid that has to be fully dried before applying to glue to the cap. When it’s ready to come off just run your entire head under water and it slides right off. They may be applying it wrong and removing it wrong

My dad would always do me quick weaves but i never liked them. I always felt like they were sliding off my head or something even though they logically werent. Plus im not savy enough to rethouch up tracks throughout the weeks.
