  • It’s holiday season and this year we have been pretty casual on where we are going. But have we broken one of the cars before even leaving the state? This is a sit back with a beverage type of vid and you can see all the new stuff we are trialing whist away in our Y62’s and caravans

    I saw you guys heading North on Pacific Highway out of Sydney today - quite a site with three decked out Y62s and vans in tow. Safe travels!

    Hey Dave, mate there is a great camp on the river in Hay just up from the painted water tanks - Google them.
    All the best for the new year.

    My S5 had the same clicking noise. Nissan replaced the drive shaft but it still did it. They tightented everything they could, it still did it. Only when going slow a d underslight load. End if the day diff oil was changed a few time. They were surprised what it looked like 1200km after the first flush and changed it again. Been good for about 6000 ks. Only ever towed a small soft floor camper trailer maybe 3000km in total. Car had about 60k on it when i originanally had the clicky wheel.

    Hey guys. What weights of vans and ball weights are you working with? Interested in your towing feedback from a total weight and suspension setup for heavier vans. Maybe a vid at some stage!

      @DASHOffRoad  8 месяцев назад

      Our vans are pretty heavy. To be honest, Y62’s don’t work that well with ball weights over 300kg.

    Hey Dave, have you considered putting together a Y62 Survival kit with the essentials when travelling? I know in one of your vids you mentioned a fuse (around $80) that when it goes the car won't start. Perhaps a kit with things like this and other essential items for the Y62 to keep you going away from civilisation?

    Start making plans to redo your caravan electrical, I hear in the pipeline that they want to crack down on lithium in a "living area" .. interesting times ahead

      Yep interesting about these new batteries probably fine now but when they get old and unstable that's the question can they be infero bombs 😮

    Hey guys, I had this diff issue. My series 5 ended up getting a noisey pinion bearing. Nissan replaced the whole diff under warranty, I first started noticing it when I towed.
    Have you guys heard of this before?
    Good luck, look forward to seeing what the issue is, have a great trip.!
